This is my take on case file #110 at CSI, with a photo of my beloved dog, Zeide, that I used to have more than 10 years ago.

My clues to solve the case:

Sketch by Em Stafrace- checked.

Scheme - all 5 colors are here.

Evidence - feathers, flowers, fabric, pearls, lace, solid background.

Testimony - I wrote the story of how I chose my pet, from the pet's point of view. 

The jouranling on the back of the page says: "It was a nice sunny Saturday and at noon you've arrived at the dog shelter. You were looking for a cute puppy and you stood outside the puppies kennel. 

All the puppies jumped and barked, trying to draw your attention so you'll be choosing them amongst all the puppies. There was a sweet jumpy female puppy, and she did those cute funny faces towards you, and wagged her tail. It was obvious you liked her a lot.

I was laying at the corner, not participating with the other puppies. I didn't jump, didn't wag. I just layed there, looking at you with sadness in my eyes.

A puppy or two, bigger than I was at that time, passed nearby me and bit me on my neck, with no reason, I didn't do anything to annoy them. I guess they just felt that I was one of the weaks. 

And indeed I was on of the weaks. and scared. I don't remember exactly, but I guess that being separated from my mom too early in my life (at that time I was only 6 weeks old and already stayed at the dog shelter for awhile), was bad for me. Plus I was abused by bad people, so I was very scared.

Sduddenly, I was taken out of the kennel and was put in your arms, and there was my place to feel safe and sound.

I guess you chose me for the wrong reasons, in an irrational choise, you just felt sorry for me. but with your endless love, and patience, I became more and more confident. I was never too freindly to starngers, not like my 'sister' (yes, you took both of us on that day), but I loved you deeply, and I was very loyal to you. I was your shaddow, followed you everywhere.

Thank you for choosing me to be yours. without you, I wouldn't have survived.

Your loving dog, Zeide."

I used several of dies here - TH (the film strip), CheeryLynn Designs (the doily, the lace border and the mini flourishes), Die-Namites (the flowering tree) and Die-namics (the felt flowers).

The feathers were made with different inks and a TCW mask, and then I cut into the lines.

I also used Wycinanka's chipboard frame, which was colored with distress ink and then heat embossed and dcorated with black pearls. So it fits for the 'chipboard with a difference' challenge at Scrap Africa.
I would like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the dog theme.

The white cs was sprayed with two different mists.

Happy Hanukkah - 8 Days of Light - Special Agent at CSI case file #100

This is my last page as Special Agent (i.e. Guest Designer) at CSI, with case file #100. As soon as I saw the palette, the evidence and the testimony, along with the inspiration photo - I knew I'm going to work with last year's Hanukkah photos. Today we light the 4th candle of this year's Hanukkah, so Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate it.

The photos were taken last year, on the last day of Hanukkah, when we lit all 8 candles. According to our family tardition, we're having a Hanukkah lamp for each member of the family, so on that evening we had 3 Hanukkah lamps shining with 9 candles each. One of Hanukkah's names is the Holiday of Lights, and indeed our home was filled with lights :). The title of my page is "8 days of light".

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - all 5 colors were used.

Evidence - numbers, stripes, stars, wood, frames, chandelier, borders.

Testimony - I added a punched border to my journaling tag and I documented our family tradition and the joy and happiness of our home filled with candlelights.

I used papers from Glitz, Carta Bella, Simple Stories, and Echo Park. The wooden chandelier was painted lightly with gesso, and embllished with half pearls. The black lace border and the doilies are CheeryLynn Designs dies, cut with the Big Shot. I love the heart shape, created by the doilies :). I made the flowers in the center, and the paper is yellow, only in the photo it looks orange.

זה הדף האחרון שלי כמעצבת אורחת לחודש נובמבר ב-CSI. הצירוף של הצבעים וההשראה, ביחד עם התיזמון של חג חנוכה, נתן לי השראה לעצב תמונות של הילדודס מחנוכה הקודם, לפני שנה בדיוק. המסורת אצלנו היא שכל אחד מהנוכחים (בני משפחה ואורחים) מדליק חנוכיה משלו. וכך, בערב חנוכה האחרון בשנה שעברה, הדלקנו 3 חנוכיות מלאות, החשכנו את הבית והתמוגגנו מאור הנרות שהפיצו נרות חנוכה. תענוג אמיתי.

עיצבתי דף אלגנטי במראה, כיאה וכיאות למעמד החגיגי. השתמשתי בדפים של Glitz, Carta Bella, Bazzil, Echo Park ו-Simple Stories. קישוט הנברשת מעץ נצבע בג'סו ואח"כ קישטתי אותו עם חצאי פנינים. הדוילי'ס נחתכו בביג שוט וכך גם הבורדר השחור. הבורדרים האחרים פונצ'צ'ו בפאנצ' של מרתה סטיוארט. הפרחים במרכז הם, כמובן, תוצרת עצמית.

שיהיה לכן חג חנוכה שמח ומואר.

My take on the sketch from My Creative Sketches, with a photo of my youngest, when he was about 1 year old. It was his older brother's birthday party, and he fell a sleep. So precious, so perfect.

I used dp from different manufacturers - Bo Bunny, Glitz, DCWV, October Afternoon and Prima; Mr. Huey's color mist, Prima say it in crystals; MS punches; WP story tellers alphas. The felt flowers and the shaped matting were made with the Big Shot; lace and flowers are from my stash.

באחד מימי ההולדת של הבכור, בשלב כלשהו צעיר הבנים, שהיה  כבן שנה, תפס תנומה. העברנו אותו מיד ליד, ובאופן מפתיע זה בכלל לא הפריע לו והוא המשיך בתנומתו. המתיקות והשלווה המושלמות שהונצחו בתמונה, הצדיקו דף.

הסקיצה שהתפרסמה ב-My Creative Sketches התאימה לי לעיצוב התמונה הזאת. השתמשתי בשאריות דפים מדוגמים של חברות רבות, כשאת חלקם פינצ'צ'תי. פרחי הלבד והמאטינג של התמונה נעשו בעזרת הביג שוט. השפרצה של Mr. Huey's לבן השלימה את המראה האוורירי והחלומי של הדף.

לקחתי קופסא שהביא אחד מהילדודס מקייטנת הקיץ והפכתי אותה לקופסת מתנה. ניירות מדוגמים, סרט ענקי בקשר מהודר, החתמה שנחתכה בעדינות עם הסכין של פרימה, ופרח מבד לבד שהוכן בעזרתו של ידידי החדש - הביג שוט. יצאה קופסא מאד נשית ומהודרת. עכשיו צריך למלא אותה בגודי'ס...

A Gentle Touch צבע אדום, אבל עם נגיעה רכה

Here's another lo done with my November Counterfeit Kit and add-on kit.  I only added the baker's twine and the bracket chipboard. 

The photo is of my youngest, 5 years ago, petting a rabbit. He held it so gently and was so excited. You can see his chabby little hands touching the rabbit so gently :). So my title for this lo is so obvious - "A gentle touch".

The red woodgrain pp and the leafy one are actually side A & side B of the same pp. the tags for the matting are homemade that I counterfeited for my kit.

יצירה כשחרור לחצים... את הביטוי והמוצא ללחצים של הימים האחרונים, מצאתי בהכנת דף מעוצב נוסף. רואים שהצבע האדום השפיע עלי, נכון? בהתאם גם קריעה של ניירות והשפרצת מיסטים.

וכדי לרכך את כל זאת, השתמשתי בתמונה של צעיר הבנים, מלפני 5 שנים, מלטף בעדינות רבה ארנבון בפינת החי באגם חי ביראון. הוא היה כל כך נרגש להחזיק את הארנבון,  וליטף אותו בעדינות מירבית. אח, הידיים השמנמנות הקטנות הללו!

כמעט כל החומרים בדף הם מקיט החיקוי ומקיט התוספת. הוספתי את חוט האופים ואת הצ'יפבורד בצורת סוגריים. הדף האדום במרכז, במראה של גזע עץ, והדף הירקרק עם העלים, הם למעשה שני הצדדים של אותו דף מדוגם. התגיות ששימשו כמאטינג לתמונה הם תוצרת עצמית.

מכשיר ההשחתה של אינגוילד בולם שקניתי ב-Xmix עבד שעות נוספות בדף הזה. לשם שינוי, נתתי לביג שוט לנוח קצת. תורו עוד יגיע. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ' של מסטיקים.

יש גם הצצה לדף סתווי נוסף שהכנתי מהקיטים של החודש. את הדף כולו אעלה ביום חמישי, עם הפוסט על האתגר השני בבלוג של קיט החיקוי.

Hey Kiddo

Our #1 mini challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog is to be inspired by a stamp. one stamp only. and you need to use it on your project (you can use more stamps, but the one that inspired you must be used).

For my lo, I took the lace border stamp from MME Miss Caroline/Fiddlesticks/"Story" stamps. 
It inspired me to go on a lacy look, and so I stamped a border on the bottom of the white cs and partly covered it with a diagonal stripes pp:

Furtheremore, I took a doily and stamped another stamp from that set, this time a half doily stamp:

Then I took a grayish lace and put it from both sides of the photo:

The hidden journaling is on the tag behind the photo, and it states 4 things about my youngest: super sweet; funny; very assertive; so loved.

I took inspiration from case file #44 at CSI:

My 'clues' to solve the case were:
Evidence: stripes, swirls, transparent elemnt (the transparent sheet under the photo), doily pattern, something that rolls up (some of the pp).
Testimony: my journaling tag has a frame and I wrote 4 things about my son.

האתגר הראשון לחודש זה בבלוג של קיט החיקוי הוא לקבל השראה מחותמת. חותמת אחת בלבד, ולהשתמש בה בדף (אפשר להשתמש בעוד חותמות).

ההשראה שלי הייתה מחותמת של בורדר תחרה, והיא הכתיבה שימוש באלמנטים של תחרה בדף. החתמתי את החותמת בתחתית הקארדסטוק הלבן, והסתרתי אותה חלקית עם רצועה של דף מדוגם עם פסים אלכסוניים. בנוסף, לקחתי מפית תחרה והחתמתי עליה חותמת תחרה נוספת מאותו סט, הפעם של חצי עיגול תחרה. הטאץ' האחרון של תחרה היה עם תחרה אפרפרה עדינה שהדבקתי משני צידי התמונה, בהתאמה לפס העדין שבסקיצה.

הענף הפרחוני שבסקיצה תורגם אצלי למסיכה עם סלסולים, וכדי לאזן אותה, הוספתי בפינה הנגדית של התמונה קצת גאזה שנצבעה באפור בעזרתו האדיבה של Mr. Huey's, בתוספת פרח עם בראד במרכזו.

At Rabin's Grave בקבר רבין

I wanted to scrap this photo for a very long time. I've been waiting for the right muse, the right sketch, the right moment... and finally I've made it.

The photo was taken nearby the late Israeli Prime Minister, Ytzhak Rabin, who was assassinated on November 4th 1995, at the end of a peace rally (you can read about it here). 

I took my boys to his grave when we were on a visit at Mount Herzel (our national cemetery), about 4.5 years ago. I'm not sure what they remeber from that visit, and we will be going there again, but I wanted to document that visit.

את התמונה הזאת רציתי כבר מזמן לעצב בדף, רק שחיכיתי למוזה המתאימה, לסקיצה הנכונה ובכלל - לרגע הנכון, וכל אלו הגיעו משום מה עכשיו.

התמונה צולמה בהר הרצל, ליד קברו של יצחק רבין המנוח. היינו בדרכנו לסופ"ש עם חברים בים המלח, ולקחתי את הילדים לביקור בהר הרצל, כולל במוזיאון. אני לא יודעת כמה ומה הם זוכרים מהביקור הזה, ומן הסתם עוד נשוב לשם בעתיד לפחות עוד פעם אחת.

אגב, למי שעדיין לא יצא לו לבקר במוזיאון הרצל המחודש, אני ממליצה בחום על ביקור שם. האופן החוויתי בה בנויה התצוגה מותיר רושם עז. עבורי הביקור שם היה רגשי וחוויתי מאד, עם חיבור מחודש לערכים ישנים וטובים, שכמעט ונשתכחו מאיתנו. המילים "להיות עם חופשי בארצנו, ארץ ציון ירושלים" מקבלות משמעות עמוקה מאד כשפוסעים בין חללי המיצג השונים, במיוחד כשלצידך פוסע דור ההמשך. גם הם, כמוני, נולדו לתוך מציאות קיימת, של מדינה יהודית מובנת מאליה, אך אני עוד גדלתי על סיפוריהם של הורי, שנטלו חלק בהקמתה של המדינה. החיבור הזה מתעצם בביקור במקום.

ולחלק העיצובי של הדף הזה - הצבעים של הדפים והקישוטים נגזרו, כמובן, מצבעי התמונה עצמה. בביקור שלנו שרר קור עז בירושלים, והילדים היו עטופים היטב בבגדים חמים. כובעי הצמר הסרוגים בפסים של אדום וכחול, והכפתורים האדומים במעיל הבכור - היוו את ההשראה.

מרבית החומרים נלקחו מקיט החיקוי של חודש אוגוסט, ודף הקראפט של המסגרת הפנימית הוא שארית מדף הצלליות שהכנתי לאחרונה.

הבאנר הגדול נחתך באופן לא סימטרי. לאחרונה התחלתי לחתוך את הבאנרים כך, כי בעיני זה מוסיף עניין לדף. הבאנרים הכפולים הקטנים מורכבים מדף מדוגם שעליו סרט מפוספס. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ'.

Kings of my heart

This is my take on #26 case file at CSI, with a photo of my boys, about 6 years ago.

The clues I used to solve the case are:

For the evidence - scallops (the lacy part on the right, the scalloped circle on the left), flowers, fleur-de-lys, crown, icing (pearls on the flowers, and rhinestones on the crown and on the butterfly).

For the testimony - my journaling says: "Since the day you were born, you've captured my heart and forever you'll be the kings who rule my heart".

דף שהכנתי לאתגר החדש ב-CSI, עם שילוב צבעים שהוא לא כל כך שגרתי אצלי, אבל התקבל יפה. התמונה היא של הבנים שלי, לפני כ-6 שנים. 

בדף השתמשתי בדפים של Echo Park, Webster's Pages, American Crafts, חותמות, חיתוכים עדינים של פרחים מדף שלם, מסיכה של טים הולץ שאחרי שעבדתי עליה עם דיו שחור, גזרתי בעדינות לפי קוי המיתאר, והרבה פנינים ואבני חן.
