A vase full of orange blooms - a thank you card

One of the Top 3 for cards

I made the Cut Above

Today's card was inspired by some challenges:

First, the November challenge at PinkFresh Studio, with multi colors inspiration and lots of leaves, and the theme of 'Thanks':

I used PinkFresh Studio 'Floral Vase' stencils and dies set.

The vase was colored with some distress oxide inks in shades of light blue (speckled egg; tumbled glass; salty ocean). The leaves were also colored with distress oxide inks (shabby shutters; peeled paint). The floral bouquet was colored with PinkFresh ink cubes (clementine; persimmon).

After ink blending through the stencils, I die cut the vase and the bouquet with the coordinate dies, and adhered to the card base, where the bouquet was adhered using some foam dots.

The sentiment is from another PinkFresh Studio set, 'Seamless Starburst Circles'.

For the final touch, I added some clear dots on the vase, and some green glittery dots.

The other challenges are also about thanks and gratitude:

Sending sunshine to brighten your day - Just Us Girls challenge

Mentioned at Just Us Girls

With all the bad news around, I really needed something to brighten my day, you can call it escampism... I do hope for better days for us.

So the current challenge at Just Us Girls #674, Sunshine, was so perfect for me:

Instead of using a sunshine image, I just went on sunshine colors - bright yeallo and apricot.

The current challenge at Inkspirational #287, was also prefect for this card, as they asked for a Clean & Simple card, with the optional twist of sunshine or rain:
I stamped the butterfly (MFT Brilliant Butterflies stamps and dies set) with two tones of yellow, adding some more ink to the edges, to make some depth. The intricate lace wings were stamped with apricot ink, and the body itself - in black.

The sentiments (SU  Sending Smiles stamps and dies set) were stamped with yellow and apricot inks.

I aranged the elements on a white vanilla cs, using some foam dots, and matted it with an apricot cs, then adhered the panel to a white cs basis.

I finished the card with some clear drops.

It's time to celebrate you - CAS Colours & Sketches

One of the weekle winners

CAS Colours & Sketches #498 has a double challenge - colors AND a sketch:

My take on the sketch is a little loose - I replaced the big circles with pink flowers, the middle one emphesized with layers of stamping  and die cut, while the small circles between are the leaves and the small pale blue flowers.

I added some clear dew drops:

I love how delicate and feminine this card turned out!

A large flower 'Get Well' card

Another 'Get Well' card, this time with a very large flower.

I stamped the flower in pink and dark purple inks, and the stem and leaves in greenish ink.

The sentiment is a sticker and it says in Hebrew: 'Quick Recovery'.

Challenges:

Just Add Ink #628 - colors:

Less is more #477 - color wheel - use at least 2 colors. I used violet and green (and pink):

The Flower challenge #74 - add embellisment (plus flower/s) - I used enamel dots (they're purple, not black...) and some clear dew drops:

Speedy Recovery card - CTD meets FMS

A card I made for two challenges:

Color Throwdown #717 - pink, mustard and green:

At first, this color combination was quite a challenge for me, but then I went for a flowery theme, and it came very easily. In the photo, the 3 small flowers looks a little orange, but IRL thery're much more yellowish than in the photo.

Freshly Made Sektches #560 - a lovely sketch. The circle can be replaced by any shape:

I added the thin strip of mustrad plaid between the two rectangles, as I felt that on my card, the gap really needed it.

The sentiment is a sticker, and it says, in Hebrew: "Always keep your smile, Speedy recovery".

Butterfly birthday wishes card

Featured Stamper

Today's card came together very quickly! I was so inspired by two challenges, and set to make this card.

The colors Barbara gave at The Color Throwdown #692 are: pink, purple, gold and white. Such a beuatiful combination!

Next was the great sketch by Amy, at Freshly Made Sketches #535:

For the focal point I wanted to use one of the butterflies from 'More Brilliant Butterflies' set by My Favorite Things, but I also wanted a circular element, so why not use them both?

I stamped the butterfly in two shades of pink (Ranger's archival ink 'pink peony' and Hero Arts' 'Cotton Candy'), and ink (Hero Arts' 'Passion Flower).

I don't have the co-ordinate dies for this set, so I cut it out with sccisors.

I had a scrap of white/gold pp, so I used it for the large banner. I looked at my washi tapes and found one that was just perfect for the colors - gold and pink. I adhered it on a scrap of white cs, and there's the stripe on the bottom.

The sentiment (Scrapbook.com) was heat embossed with Lindy's Gang 'Oom Pah Pah Pink' ep. I placed it under the pp stripe, as it seems as another stripe.

I finished up with some translucent dew drops.

Bloom and Grow

Mini challenge Winner

Headliner at The Paper Players

TGIF!!! and how lovely that it's a sunny day here, so no wonder my card is a fluttery one.

I blended ink in colors following the challenge at The Paper Players:

I then stamped the butterflies and sentiment, die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, die cut with the same die from a coordinating cs, just to pop a little behind the panel and adhered it to my white cs basis.

To finish up my card, I added some yellowish dew drops.

It also goes for the following challenges:

A girly birthday card

Hello dear crafty friends!

Today I would like to share with you a girly cas birthday card I made for several challenges.

I deciede to split the card front by using a lacy stamp, and not using any dp, to make my card as CAS as possible.

I stamped and die cut the flowers and leaves, adhered them on the opposite side from what is in the sketche, and added an orange dew drop in the center. I stamped the sentiment by the flower.

I matted the panel with a pink cs and adhered to the white cs basis, and that's it.

A CAS card in pink

 Happy Friday!

CAS card usually means lots of 'white space', but it doesn't have to be only in white color!

As long as you keep your card uncluttered, minimum layers and embellishments - you can use any color you like.

And so I did with this card.

I used the colors from Global Project Design #317, which asked for pink, blue and mint:

The design follows the sketch from CAS Colour & Sketches #445:

I stamped the rose flower in some pink hues and then fusy cut it. The leaves were die cut from a water color paper, that first was sprayed with Lindy's Gang Mad Hatter Mint shimmer mist.

I die cut the stitched and scalloped banner from a blue dp, that has like white light spray on it.

I adhered it to the PINK cs basis, and on it I adhered the flower with the leaves. A few translucent 3-d drops and my card is done!

I'm still not sure for what occasion I'll be using this card - a birthday, an anniversary, a good luck card, etc., so I didn't add any sentiment at the moment.
