Amazing - a mixed media layout

Happy Saturday to you all!
Today I'm sharing with you a mixed media layout I've made for some challenges.

First is the current challenge at 7 Dots Studio blog, with this beautiful moodboard:
When I saw this moodboard, the color combination reminded me the photo I took at Sainte Chapelle cathedral in Paris, with light coming through the stained glasses. I drew some more inspiration from the twinklings, and the photo of the old street (I always think of Paris when I see photos of old streets).
All papers, tags, sticker and die-cuts are 7 Dots Studios.
Next is the current challenge at Mixed Media Place blog, with a quite similar in colors moodboard:
Once again, the colors of purple and teal drew my attention, and also the touch of brown and cream, with twinklings and the stone paved street.
Working with shades of purple and blue/turquoise was perfect for two color challenges.
One is at Lindy's Gang blog:
Although the pallete is quite pastel one, I decided to go on much bolder version of these colors, with the addition of gold.
The Lindy's products I've used are:
Embossing powder - Caesar's Gold.
Love, love, love how they all combined together.
Last, and certainly not least, is the Feb challenge at Art Playground blog, which also combined shades of purple and blue/teal:
As explained it the excellent tip on this blog, it is very important to add different shapes to your creation, to make it more intersting. One way, which I used here, is working with stencils and modeling paste. The stencil I've used (Magenta) has already different shapes - lines and circles. I used the stencil in the vertical way, the way the windows in the photo go. Then I added more circles with the tags, the gold sequins, the die cuts under the the title and the splatters.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments very much.

Clowns - a mixed media layout for 13@rts Circus challenge

I had so much fun making this mixed media layout for the current challenge at 13@rts, which is Circus.
Here's the fab moodboard:
I knew I would use a photo I took at Madame Tussaud's museum at London, whith the clowns.
To make my layout even more clownish, I turned the patterned paper, so the printed words were upside down :)
I added lots of stitched circles to the already printed ones on the pp, and used lots of mediums to create a fun atmosphere.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

13@rts products I've used:
Alice in Candyland - 'Whatfever U Want', 'Queen of Hearts'
Untill Dawn - 'Days and Nights'
Mediums - Gesso clear, Gesso white, Gel medium
Mists - Pastel Blue, Chalk Blue Light
Color Glow - Ruby, Amber

Thank you for visiting my blog. Your comments are much appreciated!

Believe in Magic - CSI case file no. 255

Happy Friday dear crafty friends,
It's a new month so there's a new challenge at CSI - case file no. 255:
At first I was inspired by the girl's dress. It reminded me the Princess' dress at Disneyland Paris. We went there on April 2016.
I let my self be a little girl again, and I went to meet the princess :).
My clues to solve the case were: solid white background, stripes and dots (the stencil in the background), glitter, texture paste heat embossing (the chipboard title), people embellishments (the tags with the vintage ladies), stars (on the title).
I added my journaling on the circular part of the small doilies, and it says: "Being a little girl again, believing in Princesses and delighted to meet one of them. Disneyland Paris, April 2016".
I've used Maja Design papers, from the 'Vingage Autumn' collection.
Lots of mixed media here -
Finnabair products: white and clear gesso, soft matte gel, heavy body gel, mini art stones, texture paste white.
Other products: Scrapiniec chipboard, I am Roses flowers, Kaisercraft stamps, TanySol doily die, Memnto Teal Zeel ink.

Here are some close-ups to the details:

I would like to enter it to the challenge at Mixed Media & Art, with this beautiful moodboard:
I really love this color combo!
Also for the 'Anything Goes challenge at SimonSays Wednesday challenge and the 'Stencil it' challenge at A vintage Journey blog (my layout is some shabby chic mixed media style)
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments very much.
