A new month means a new case file at CSI - case file no. 259:
The first element from the inspiration image that my eyes were drawn to, was the black spech buble with the white handwriting in it, so I incooprated it with one of the embellishments (a Kaisercraft's stamp, heat embossed with Lindy's Purely White ep):
I've used all 5 colors, and my clues to solve the case were: speach bublles (I have 5(!) in this layout. can you spot them all?), architectural elements (Echo Park's Eiffel Tower stamp, Kaisercraft's skyline stamp), transportaion (Kaisercraft's plane stamp), travel themed elements (Echo Park's suitcase stamp), cursive fonts, stamping and map pattern (sort of - the globe die cut).
For my base, I've used Altair Art pp (Sunrise 04 blue), as it mimics the sky so well. Prima's stitches stamp was used for framing the pp, and some Lindy's sprays were used to splatter here and there (Mango Mania flat fabio, Sidewalk Chalk flat fabio, Sassy Sapphire starburst shimmer spry).
Enamel dots were added here and there.
The journaling, on Prima's Amber Moon papers cut to tags, document a wonderful day on our travel to Paris.
It was pretty cold and grey, but suddenly the sun came out of the clouds.
I used the inspiration word "Good", as the shining sun remined me the Beatles' song I've used for my title: "Good Day Sunshine":
I need to laugh, and when the sun is out
I've got something I can laugh about,
I feel good, in a special way.
I'm in love and it's a sunny day.
I've used sketch #151 from Sketchabilities:
I enjoyed working on this layout, and I really love the outcome.
Here are some close-ups:
