A birthday card in coral, dark green and silver

One of the fav
Hello crafty friends!

I have a new card to share with you, made with the inspiration of a few challenges.

At The Color Throwdown #721, the colors chosen by Amy Rysavy were way out of my comfort zone! I rearly use coral on my crads, but I wanted to give it a try:

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers' outlines with Lindy's Gang Silver Moon Sapphire ep. The inside of the flowers were stamped with Ranger's Tea Rose archival ink, and the flowers were die cut.

The leaves were stamped with Ranger's Library Green archival ink and die cut. I also stamped a few sprigs in green, directly on the white basis.

I also stamped the sentiment in green ink.

I cut 3 stripes of silver cardstock, and heat embossed them with the Lindy's ep. I wanted the stripes to ground my flowers, so I adhered the stripes diagonally, and aranged the flowers and the leaves toward the left bottom corner.

To finish up, I added a glitter green enamel dot to the center of the big flower, and a few silver glitter enamel dots around the sentiment.

The white panel was adhered to a silver cardstock basis.

Somehow, in the photo the green looks much more darker than in real, but I couldn't get a better take of the card to show it.

It also goes for the Embossing challenge at AAA Birthday cards challenge:

It also goes to the 'Anyting Goes' challenge at SimonSays Wednesday challenge.

Happy Birthday in blue

A winner at Seize the Birthday

This is a card combining two stamps - one is from Stampin' Up, 'BIRTHDAY', which I have a little more than a year, and the other, 'happy', is from SimonSays Stamps, which I have for ages, many many years.

I like the way the liitle' happy' stamping is overlapping the big' BIRTHDAY' one, and I like the ombre in the blues.

I used Lindy's embossing powder in silver to create the two lines, framing the sentiment, and matted the panel on a black cardstock.

The card is for some challenges:

The Paper People #617- color challenge: blue, silver and blak & white:

This color combination is so perfect for a masculine card, and everyone need more of these.

Seize the Birthday #251 - many of something + a birthday card:

I have many 'happy' here :).

A Happy Birthday card - CAS Colours & Sketches + The Color Throwdown + AAA Birthday Cards

It has been (too) long time since I posted here. I've been very busy at work, an it kept me away from my crafting table.

But, here I'm again, with a CAS card for two challenges:

I used the colors from this week's challenge at The Color Throwdown #707, where Lori gave us a beautiful colors to work with - navy blue, turqouise and mustrad:

I recently came across a lovely technique of using embossing powders. I firstly saw it at Chris Stocks' UT channel, and as she refered to Marion Emberson UT channel, I looked there also. What can I say? so creative and beautiful results.

So I sprinkled ep from those 3 colors on a piece of white cs, heat embossed from beneath, and then die cut the leaves. They came up with a texture and shine. I used Lindy's Gang ep: Scotch Broom Yellow, Guten Tag Teal, Hyacinth Blue Jade.

I placed the leaves on a piece of white cs, following the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches #484, not before I stamped the sentiment:

For a whimsical look I turned upside down one of the leaves, the one with fructures, and also added a small metal paper clip in turqouise.

I double matted the white cs with navy blue cs and mustard cs, and adhered it to the card basis with foam stirpes.

It also goes for the current challenge at AAA Birthday cards, which is 'Anything Birthday Goes':

And for the 'Emboss' challenge at Perfectly CAS:

It was so good to get back to crafting!

Butterfly birthday wishes card

Featured Stamper

Today's card came together very quickly! I was so inspired by two challenges, and set to make this card.

The colors Barbara gave at The Color Throwdown #692 are: pink, purple, gold and white. Such a beuatiful combination!

Next was the great sketch by Amy, at Freshly Made Sketches #535:

For the focal point I wanted to use one of the butterflies from 'More Brilliant Butterflies' set by My Favorite Things, but I also wanted a circular element, so why not use them both?

I stamped the butterfly in two shades of pink (Ranger's archival ink 'pink peony' and Hero Arts' 'Cotton Candy'), and ink (Hero Arts' 'Passion Flower).

I don't have the co-ordinate dies for this set, so I cut it out with sccisors.

I had a scrap of white/gold pp, so I used it for the large banner. I looked at my washi tapes and found one that was just perfect for the colors - gold and pink. I adhered it on a scrap of white cs, and there's the stripe on the bottom.

The sentiment (Scrapbook.com) was heat embossed with Lindy's Gang 'Oom Pah Pah Pink' ep. I placed it under the pp stripe, as it seems as another stripe.

I finished up with some translucent dew drops.

A CAS card in pink

 Happy Friday!

CAS card usually means lots of 'white space', but it doesn't have to be only in white color!

As long as you keep your card uncluttered, minimum layers and embellishments - you can use any color you like.

And so I did with this card.

I used the colors from Global Project Design #317, which asked for pink, blue and mint:

The design follows the sketch from CAS Colour & Sketches #445:

I stamped the rose flower in some pink hues and then fusy cut it. The leaves were die cut from a water color paper, that first was sprayed with Lindy's Gang Mad Hatter Mint shimmer mist.

I die cut the stitched and scalloped banner from a blue dp, that has like white light spray on it.

I adhered it to the PINK cs basis, and on it I adhered the flower with the leaves. A few translucent 3-d drops and my card is done!

I'm still not sure for what occasion I'll be using this card - a birthday, an anniversary, a good luck card, etc., so I didn't add any sentiment at the moment.

One of the FAV at

Hello crafty friends and thank you for popping up at my blog.

Today I'm sharing a pile of autumn leaves for a 'thanks' card.

I really love the rich colors of this one!

I was inspired by the current challenge at Color Throwdown #663, where Broni asked for orange, brown and gray:

I started with a pale gray woodgrain dp, and made some splatters with brown, gold and orange Lindy's sprays.

I die cut 3 different leaves patterns from 4 different dp, and aranged them in a pile, overlapping each other.

I die cut 2 stitched tags, in 2 different sizes, one from gold cs and one from darker gray cs, stampped the setiment on the smaller tag, and tied a bow with both tags. I also adhered a brown leaf under the smaller tag.

Then I adhered the tags to the gray pannel with foam dots.

I matted the pannel with orange cs, and adhered to a dark gray card basis.

For the final touch, I added some golden sequins.

It alos goes for Tic Tac Toe challenge #134:

I took the middle row - leaves, Thanks and shades of brown.

Just for You- a CAS mixed media card

ShowCased at Less Is More
September 2021

It has been a long time since I went on mixed media crafting, and dived into the world of CAS, but it appears one can combing these two :)

So here's my CAS mixed media card:

I used some Lindy's products (listed below), wattering them and then I used a plastic bag to spread the colors on a watercolor paper. I also flicked some gold spray above.

I die cut 3 stitched hexagons from the colored paper. I die cut a leaf and heat embossed it with Lindy's ep. I love the shimmer look of it!

I assambeled the elements, following the sketch, stmpped a sentiment in an orange ink and my card is done!

Lindy's products I used:

sprays: Grab a Guy Gold, Yellow Rose of Texas

shakers: Autumn Maple Crimson, Antique Gold, Octoberfest Orange

ep: Oakleaf Olive

It goes for September challeng:

Winter sun - CSI case file no. 343

I've been MIA for very long time, due to some health issues, but was able to make this layout for CSI Case File no. 343:

I used all 5 colors from the scheme. For my evidence I used: woodgrain background, winter-themed embellishments, snowflakes, lacing, string, wood, trees, hearts, tringles, chevrons and grid design (the blue paper for the matting has a gentle grid pattern).

I documented a boat sailing in Nantes, two years ago. It was freezing on the boat, but the winter sun poped here and there, and warmed us a little.

Here're some close-ups on the details:

Happy Day - mini kit for Counterfeit Kit June 2020

Counterfeit Kit Club got a lovely kit to counterfeit this month - Clique kits international called 'Wonderful World'. Here's a photo of the kit:
I decided to make a mini kit based on the inspiration kit, using some ot the colors - pink, pale blue and yeallow.
Papers - I gathered one 7 Dots Studio 12x12 pp and some 6x6 pp (WhiteRus').
For the embellishments - stickers (TH chit chat, Kaisercraft curasive words, La La Land), paper flowers, wood flowers, Robin's Nest dew drops, doily chipboard, enamel dots, paper clip and some washi tape stripes.
I also put in two Martha Stewart's punches to match the butterflies and photo corners in the inspiration kit, and some Lindy's Gang products in matching colors.
Naturally, I also included a counterfeit item - the yarn rainbow -
I used Rachel Lowe's tutorial to make this rainbow. You can find it HERE.
I will be using this mini kit for my DT layout for CSI, which will be posted on July 1st, so stay tuned...
