Welcome to the new challenge at Simply Create! The challenge starts tomorrow, on Friday, but Trish lets us post our creations a day before :)))

These weeks challenge is "Mom Saying". 

This is my lo for the challenge. Okay, not much of  "saying"... (a little rebel, LOL). 

 The photo is of me, at about 4 years, on Mother's Day at the kindergarten. The title says: "Little Mama".

I used BG kraft cs, and the dp is K&Co., lots of flowers, pearls, lace, charms, white signo gel pen, AC stamps and 7Gypsies stamps and and made scrap flower and lacy birds.

Genesis - new beginnings for Scrap That Poetry and another happy mail

I've made this lo for the challenge over Scrap That Poetry, where the poem for inspiration was "The rock cries out to us" by Maya Angelou. What a meaningful poem! There was also a sketch provided to work with, created by Heidi:

At first I thought I'd use for this challenge a photo from our last trip, but then I decided to use this photo of my eldest, 4 days after he was born, for the inspiration drawn from the lyrics about give birth, new beginnings. Giving birth to my boy was the most powerful experience I've had in my entire life.
Throughout most of the pregnancy, there was an Israeli song that was playing in my head over and over again, called "Genesis". Especially I love the lines that says, in free translation: God had been mercy at dawn, and he gave you to me, for guardianship (pardon my very un proffesional translation...). My boy loves this song deeply (no wonder... ).
And so the title in Hebrew is "Genesis", and the journaling is that special line from that song. I also wrote most of the lyrics as a frame to the dp.

I wanted this lo to match a previous lo I've done, with another photo of my boy that was taken the same day. Here is the previous one:

I tried to keep most of the elements. I love how it turned out.

דף עם תמונה של הבן  הבכור שלי, 4 ימים לאחר שנולד. לאורך כמעט כל ההריון התנגן לי בראש השיר "בראשית" בביצוע של שרון עזריה, ובמיוחד השורה "אלוהים היה רחום עם שחר, ולמשמרת נתן הוא לי אותך". את המילים של כמעט כל השיר כתבתי מסביב לנייר המדוגם, ואת השורה הזאת כתבתי עם עט ג'ל מטאלי על דף וולום. השתדלתי שעיצוב הדף יתאים לדף קודם שהכנתי עם תמונה שצולמה באותו יום.

This photo, of my youngest, was taken at his kindergarten on May.

The inspiration for the colors of this lo was these cute little buttons. They were made from polymer clay by my sister. Arn't day just adorable?

And look at this fabric flower - I posted about these gorgeous fabric flowers a few days ago, here, and I just love them. They just give special touch to a creation. On this one I used some green stickles.

The journaling block, as well as the right upper corner, are BG, from a 'do me a favor' kit (I think it's the lemonade one).

I hand stitched around the cs, with some help from my kids. :)

התמונות בדף הזה הן של בני הצעיר, בגן שלו לפני כ-3 חודשים. הפעם בחירת הצבעים לדף הזה נעשתה דווקא מתוך הכפתורים הקטנים המרובעים בפינה השמאלית התחתונה של הדף. אחותי הכינה אותם מפימו והם שבו את ליבי בשילוב הצבעים שלהם.

הפרח הוא שוב פרח בד, ממנו התלהבתי כשראיתי בבלוג של פית מרציפן, והכנתי עם דבק פלסטי ונצנצים.
