Nothing Fancy

Happy Saturday, dear crafty friends!
I'm working on a project for the new case file reveal at CSI, and while working on it, I took a little break to make this tag for two challenges.
The first is the mini challenge at More Than Words, which asked to use the word "Fancy":
The 2nd is a stunning moodboard at Scrap Matrix - this color combo of purple and teal is simply gorgeous!
My friend, Helen Wallace, encouraged me to join, so here it is...
Lately I love making flat embellishments by stamping in verious colors and/or coloring it with Lindy's sprays.
This time the stamping is in layers, and it's my new LOVE!
I've used Ranger's archival inks in shades of purple (for the flowers) and different shades of teal (for the leaves).
As for the big flower, after stamping it, I stamped the upper layer once again, this time with embossing clear ink, and heat embossed it once with Lindy's Desert Moon Turquoise ep, and then with Purely White ep. I really love the way it turned up!
I built the layers, using the stamped flowers and leaves, and adding some die-cut I've already had from previous projects.
In 3 weeks it will be Passover, and I alreay have at least one tag for the holiday...
Thank you for visiting my blog. Your comments are much appreciated!
As for the CSI case file, here's the sneak peek image:
Stay tuned... the reveal is on April's fool LOL

We Are Family - a mini album with Echo Park papers

Happy Saturday dear crafty friends,
Today I'm sharing with you a mini album I've made for a friend from work.
I've made it using THIS tutorial, and it'a super easy project.
I made some changes to adjust it to what I love.
It measurs (outside) 8"X4.5", and on the inside one side is a waterfall and the other one is a pocket, where I placed a mini album. The whole mini album can consist more than 30 photos.
I've also attached a small bag with die-cut embellishments, so she can embellish the mini after adhereing her photos.
Since my friend has 3 young childern, a girl and 2 boys, I used Echo Park papers, which are so perfect for a cheerful and happy mini album.
Here're some photos:

I'm entering it to the March challenge at Mini Album Makers:
and also for a local challenge, to use DT's tutorial.
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments very much.

This life is pretty amazing - art journal

Hello dear crafty friends,
Lindy's Gang has a beautiful subtle color challenge this month, which I really like, so I've made an art journal, using their awesome products.
I started by giving a good coat of white gesso, and then added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil:
Next, I added Mad Hatter Mint spray, dilluted it with water:
I wanted another shade of green, so I added Aloha Avocado spray, and againg dilluted it with water:
Now it's time for some stamping, with different shades of gray and black inks, using Finnabair's stamps and 49 and Market Pascale's stamp:

Stamping a sentiment, using Stamper Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp, with Ranger's Arcival ink Jet Black:
I die cut some leaves from a watercolor paper, and heat embossed it with Merry Go Round ep:

I also die cut some more leaves and colored them with Pop Rock Purple flat spray, and stamped some flowers with gray ink:
Then I made my design with all those colored die cuts:
I also die cut other shape of leaves, and heat embossed them with Silver Moon Sapphire ep:
Splattering around with Magnolia Magenta Gold shimmer spray, adhering dew drops and enamel dots for the flowers center, and adding some silver micro beads, then doodling a frame all around:

And that's the final result:

A Wonderful Day - case file no. 278 at CSI + Sketches in Thyme

Top 3 at Sketches in Thyme

Hello dears, today I'm sharing with you my layout for the new case file at CSI, case file no. 278, with this inspiration photo:
As soon as I saw the IP, I knew right away that I have the perfect photo to match the colors of the scheme - a photo of my boys, at Eilat Bay, sailing on a boat. it was such a wonderful day, and it was during a so needed vacation we had during a hard period in our life.
I used sketch no. 364 from Sketches In Thyme:
As for the clues to solve the case file, I used: dots, grid pattern (almost unseen, the journaling 'clouds'), gingham, stripes, woodgrain, hearts, sun, string, kites, die cuts, pinwheels, triangles and diamond shapes. My journaling, on the clouds, documents our wonderf day.
Here are some close-ups on the details:
