Fine (evereything's gonna be fine, fine, fine...)

Edit: This lo won #68 spcc
color combo. Thank you!

This lo was chosen as a Ginger Gem
Gingersnap Creations
neutrals plus one challenge
Thanks you!

I've already made 2 lo about summer afternoon at the beach, one of each of my kids, and now it's my turn... :) Like I've wrote in previous posts, it was a very stressful day for me and I was very depressed, but being by the seaside, with my kiddos, turned it into a fab afternoon. I had to remind myself that "what it all comes down to is that everything's gonna be fine, fine, fine"... Hand in my pocket by Alanis Morisette, the inspiration for this week over Scrapping the music (love, love, love that song!).
The journaling says, in hebrew: "reminding myself that everything, but everything, is gonna be fine. The finest there is. We're healthy and happy. All worries, all problems, all will find it's solution. Everything's gonna be just fine".
The journaling spot and the matting of it were embossed and then inked with distress ink, and so were the cream butterflies.

Sketch is of Helen Croft's, on Sketches in Thyme, only I flipped and turned it to fit my photo:

colors are for Our Creative Corner, with this color scheme:
and for sp-color combo:

 And some more challenges:
vintage - alphabet; for fun
neutrals plus one color - #72 gingersnap
handmade flowers - #17 paper romance; scrappy frogs
recipe (2 dp, embossing, buttons) - #65 mawtt
lace & pearls - #28 cuyl

Thanks for stopping by!

Very clean, in green - lo "וכשאני נקי - אני מותק"

I've won for this lo at paper niche on their chipboard challenge! Thank you so much paper niche!

Here is my take on Tesa's challenge:
Theme - everyday life. Bath (almost) everyday... LOL The photo was taken 5 years ago, and this is my eldest, when he was 3 years old, before his brother was born.
Sketch - I took #67 the scrappiest
Colors - monochromatic, you can use one neutral, and NO CARDSTOCK (that was the scarry part... LOL). At first I wanted to do blue, but after I saw Tesa's take on her own challenge, I changed my mind....So mine is green with a little touch of white/cream.
Technique - layers, layers, layers.
Supply/tools - use ribbon, lace. use your scissors in a creative way.

It was a tough one to make a totally monochromatic lo, and that part of no cardstock only dp - well, that was quite a challenge.... I did poor work about using creatively my scissors. I just used my shaped scissors to cut the edges of one of the dp and the vellum one.

But what I really really love is the crochet flowers.... Yep! this is my new obsession, so you'll see more of them very often... Look at them! Aren't they just gorgeous? and they have layers, and layers... LOL I also love those heart shaped buttons.

On the corners I stamped with one of my swirls stamps (clear dollar stamps). I used some green clips to attach the photo to the green cs matting (ooppps, just a little cs, I didn't cheat!). I doodled a frame with zig green pen.

For the title I used pre-cut letters from Practical magic, and I added some diamond glaze on them, and also on the musical note chipboard. The title is a line from a children's song and it says: "and when I'm clean - I'm sweetie". I also used a round chipboard to write the date the photo was taken (Feb 2005), and a small heart chipboard.
The lace is also green with white embroidery.
There is a lot of transparency on this lo - the green vellum, the lace, the green organza ribbon and the diamond glaze, and it goes for the challenge over practical scrappers.

And the other challenges I'm entering this lo are:
flowers - alphabet; scrap & stamp; charisma cardz;
buttons & blooms - #85 saturday challenge
buttons - frosted designs
texture - delightful sketches
chipboard - paper niche
metal - #16 magical crafts (the clips)
color: green - #14 ecp
2 pp - #20 tellen's place
men - 4 fun

I had a great time making this lo. Tesa caught with this monochromatic rule and the no cs one, and this is what challenge is about, isn't it?.....
I hope you enjoyed looking at my new lo, and I really appreciate every comment you leave me.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely weekend.

A Vintage Pink Family

A relative of mine gave birth to a baby girl a few weeks ago, so I've made this card for her.
I recycled a package of something I got, I even don't remember what, and that is the wavy craft cs. Also I used Pink music notes cs (also for the butterfly), pink lace ribbon, green leaves ribbon, silk riboon tiny flowers, flowers with tulle, 3 small buttons, 3 black pearls for the butterfly's body, 3 pink pearls, and I used gold stickles on the big pink flowers and on the butterfly. The image is a freebie from Pollycraft (you should really go and grab them, Paula has lovely digis, and she gives one freebie every friday).
I teared almost every edge on this one and inked it to get the old look...you can't see it, but the edges under the image and the lace ribbon, are also torn. also i drew some faux stitching around the image with glitter brown gel pen.
I just love this color combo of pink, green/olive & brown/craft.
I didn't do much vintage cards, but I think I'm starting to fall in love with this style...
I enter this card to the following challenges:
Gloria's signature style - day 359 on 365 cards. Gloria made an adorable vintage card for a man, you can see it here. the challenge was to create a vintage style card and scraflift some feature from Gloria's card. as you can see, my card is certainly not a card for man... LOL, but it sure is a vintage card and I "lifted" the 3 pearls on the right upper corner (okay, Pam asked to scraflift a standout feature, so I cheated, but just a little, and it has been such a long time since I cheated on 365 cards, so you probably asked yourself if I'm okay... LOL)
another one for color combo (pink, olive, brown) - #81 color throwdown
another for 3 colors I love (pink, green, brown) - #43 gingersnap
vintage with flowers - simon says
pink - #69 one stop craft (Itzuvit is the hostess of this challenge, and she made a fab card!); #45 twisted thursday; #1 i love digi
flowers - another one for cute daisy may` fttc55
distres + pearls + glitter - #92 a spoon full of sugar
music to my ears - #7 creative craft (the background dp and the butterfly - music note dp).
in the frame - #80 my time to craft
another for handwriting - frosted designs
ribbon & sparkle - #39 C.R.A.F.T.
recipe: dp+buttons+ribbon (mine is the lace ribbon underneath the image) - stamp something
texture: at least 3 different textures - #26 crazy 4 challenges (mine are: the wavy cs, the lace, the buttons, the tulle, the silk flowers, the pearls)
touchy feely - #31 incy wincy designs (they're having a blog hop for the new release)
three's a company - #7 raise the bar (mine are: 3 pink pearls. 3 black pearls, 3 buttons)
cupcake inspirations - #48 hope stamps eternal
fancy edge & ribbon - # 21 crafty catz (mine is the scalloped edges of the image and the lace ribbon)
lucky me - #8 pile it on ( I'm so lucky to have some time to craft! lately I just couldn't find the time, nor the energy to craft...)
bling it on - #38 the treehouse
cute - #22 quirky crafts (this image is so cute...)
Thank you so much for stopping by and looking at my card. your comments are mostly apperciated and welcomed.
Have a lovely warm day.

Tweetheart vintage sneak peak - a real CELEBRATION!

This week on 365 cards, Pam is challenging us with a triple alphabet challenges. each day she pick a letter, and ask for 3 specific things starting with that letter. only sometimes she really needs to stretch to match the letter to whatever came to her head that moment... (and no, Pam, emboss for B, is not "stretch a little", it is definitely stretch a lot... LOL).
On to what is the challenge for today - D, the three D (no, no dimensional, which was the perfect choise to represent D, only Pam had to make it hard on us) - dark brown, diamonds & distressing. Okay, I know diamonds are the girl's best friend, but this dard brown can be very distressin... LOL. Luckily I just got Trish's new comming release on Simple Doodles, and that cheered me up :). Tomorrow on Simple Doodles Trish will bring some new fab digi stamp, and believe me - you don't want to miss it, so make sure to pop over Simple doodles for the new release. and when she gets to 50 followers, Trish will give a lovely freebie, so all you need to do is become a flollwer!
The diamond shape pp was computer generated, the sentiment is a new dige at simple doodles. I took the image from here (btw, great blog! and so many vintage stuff, and free!), and I distressed the edges and inked it with gold ink, so it's even more old looking. then I adhered it on a lace doily, that was also inked with red and brown inks (yes, I kind of in love with these doily, so I use it a lot :)). the butterfly is also from the grafics fairy, and I cut it in two sizes, inked with chocolate color ink, I adhered red pearls and used some gold glitter for the edges. isn't it just adorable?
The paper flower on the right lower corner was made of polka left over pp & another purple pp leftover (I decided to enlarge my flower stuff by using all those scraps leftovers).
the sentiment is one of the new release on simple doodles, and I embossed it and inked with brown ink.
and it goes for the following challenges:
the 3 D (dark brown, diamonds, distressing) - day 335 on 365 cards

A quadrant Thank You card

Today the challenge at 365 cards was to divide (and conquer...): Pam challenged:
It's about dividing your card into quadrants - there should be 4 equal parts and each quadrant should contain one of the following:1 stamped sentiment1 punched out item1 floral embellishment1 rhinestone
And there should be no overlap of items from quadrant to quadrant (but items within a quadrant can overlap).
Also, using the rhinestone as an example, you can have several of them if you wish, but they can only be in one quadrant Well, that was a real challenge!
I saw the challenge of once in a blue moon at gingersnap, and it's exactly what I needed here. I chose the option of CAS with a pp, and that what came out...
as always, it goes for some challenges:
divide & conquer - day 305 at 365 cards - the upper left quadrant with 3 small punched flowers; the upper right quadrant with 3 tiny rhinestones on each flower; the lower left quadrant with flower button embellishment; the lower right quadrant is with the stamped sentiment. Pam, I promised you flowers instead of tomatoes...
case a CAS - gingersnap
anything but christmas - #50 charisma carz
as always, I'd be happy to read your comments. thank you for looking at my card. have a lovely day!

A Buttoned Wreath

Day 296 at 365 cards - Pam aked for a wreath, but we were not allowed to stamp a wreath or use pp with wreaths. the whole idea was DIY kind of challenge...

I never had a real wreath, and never hanged one on my door. I made this buttoned wreath as a birthday card for my mom, she'll be 76 in 12 days!

I used pp from indian summer of Basic Greay and stamped it with flourish stamp. for the wreath I cut a golden ks in the O shape and covered it with fabric leaves and lots of lots of lots of buttons (I love those flower shaped ones. got myself lots of them, ih many colors). the lace is brown in real light, only in the photo it looks black... on top of the lace I adhered the pale blue flower, added the sentimen (a new one I just got as my rak on Irit Shalom's #1 royal challenge) and the two roses on a riboon in the corner.
