True Beauty - a lo for Stuck?! June 1st reveal plus GD for Color Me Scrappy

One of my April's layouts won Top 3 at Color Me Scrappy, and I was invited to be a Guest Designer over there for June. Here's June 1st palette, with the added creteria to use at least 3 different manufacturers. Here's the palette:

I flipped the sketch to the side, and this is what I came up with:

 At first, the color combo, with the pink, was very challenging for me, but I'm so pleased with how my lo came out! so soft and serene. The photo was taken on March this year, on the deck at Tel Aviv port. I've had a wonderful day, great weather and meeting my BFF.

This is my take on some challenges:

Prima - March PPP, with this beautiful palette:

I used many Prima's products - papers, stamps, flowers and leavs, say it in crystals blings, sugar dots, flair buttons, alphas, chipboard and even packages. Some of the flowers on this lo, were made from Prima's papers with Die-namics dies and mists.

Berry71Bleu March challenge, which asked to have green as the dominant color, the word 'lucky' or 'luck', and some lace/doily. I took the 'green' thing a little further, and recycled Prima's packages.
I would also like to enter it to the 'free for all' challenge at Off the Rails Scrapooking.

I woudl like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the summer theme.

מעתיקנית אחת.... Scraplifting

בבלוג של קיט החיקוי, ישנה ציטטה שבתרגום חופשי אומרת: "חיקוי הוא המחמאה הגדולה ביותר". ואכן כשמעתיקים את העבודה שלי, זו בהחלט מחמאה עבורי. מישהי התלהבה מאד ממה שעשיתי, עד כדי כך שהחליטה לעשות "בדיוק את זה".
העתקה של דפים בעיצוב דפי אלבום, סקראפ ליפטינג scraplifting, נפוצה מאד וגם מקובלת. כל עוד שומרים על הכללים.

אני מאד ממליצה לכן לקרוא את המאמר המצויין הזה שמסכם את כל התופעה ואת הכללים הנהוגים בה. בגדול אפשר לסכם ולומר שהעתקה היא כאשר לפחות 70% ממרכיבי דף מסויים מופיעים בדף שלכן. העתקה יכולה להיות של העיצוב, של הצבעים, של הנושא, של הטכניקות וכו'.
סקראפ ליפטינג מסייע מאד גם למי שמתחילה בתחום, שבאופן הזה יכולה ללכת, צעד אחד צעד, בנתיב שכבר סלול. הוא גם מוצלח מאד לוותיקות ובקיאות, הן לשם שחרור מוזה תקועה והן לצורך לימוד והתנסות בדברים חדשים ויציאה מהקופסא. סקראפליפטינג הוא כיפי.
יש שני כללים חשובים שאותם כדאי לשמור -
האחד: תני קרדיט! הטוב ביותר - להביא את המקור עם קישור (ואם זה כל כך מצא חן בעיניכן, אז מן הסתם הוא שמור במועדפים/פינטרסט שלכן...).
השני: לא לעשות שימוש בסקראפליפטינג להפקת רווח אישי (סדנאות, קיטים, תחרויות, מועמדות ל-DT וכיוצ"ב).
אז אחרי שחפרתי לכן על העקרונות, הנה היישום :)...
אש קטנה ואני אתגרנו זו את זו. כל אחת צריכה הייתה למצוא אצל השנייה דף שאותו  היא רוצה להעתיק, ולעשות עליו סקראפליפטינג.
יד על הלב? היה לי קשה. העבודות של אש קטנה הן כל כך יפות ומיוחדות, עם הסגנון האישי המאד מיוחד שלה, שנראה היה לי מאד יומרני להעתיק אותה. חוץ מזה, לאחרונה אש קטנה ואני מכינות דפים לאותן סקיצות, בבחינת פרשנויות שונות לאותה סקיצה, וקצת קשה לעשות זאת שוב, בדרך אחרת.
אז חפרתי לי קצת בבלוג שלה, והתבייתתי על הדף הזה, שאותו היא הכינה במסגרת הפרוייקט המאד מאתגר שלה "מא' ועד דף". את הדף הזה היא כינתה: "בנים/בנות":

והנה הסקראפליפטינג שלי:

מעבר לעובדה שסובבתי את העיצוב, כדי להתאימו לתמונה האופקית שלי (לעומת האנכית בדף של אש קטנה), והוספתי דף מנוקד כחול (במקום ירוק) - הדף הזה הוא ממש העתקה אחד לאחד של הדף של אש קטנה. בראש ובראשונה ברעיון של עיצוב עם ורוד לדף של בנים.

לקחתי דף בסיס בצבע קרם עם נגיעות קלות של ורוד (הצד השני שלו ורדרד בהרבה). הרכבתי שכבות של ניירות מדוגמים בצבעי ורוד ואפור כמאטינג, עם התוספת של הקרטון הגלי. את הדף המאטינג הורוד קרעתי כמו שעשתה אש קטנה. השתמשתי גם במסיכה, אלא שבמקום להתיז גלימר מיסט כמו אש קטנה, עבדתי עם דיו דיסטרס. אפילו הכנתי פרח אקורדיון/מניפה עם כפתור במרכזו, בדיוק כמו אצל אש קטנה.
במקום דף מנוקד בירוק, הוספתי דף מנוקד בכחול, פשוט כי ירוק ממש לא התאים לתמונה שלי, וכחול כן.
החלק מעל התמונה נראה היה לי  ריק מידי. בדף של אש קטנה יש דיגום מובנה בדף, של כוורת. כדי למלא את החלק הריק, וכדי לחקות גם את החלק הזה בדף, פשוט חתכתי כמה מעוניינים מהדף המדוגם של הרקע, הדבקתי מתחת שאריות מהדף הורוד, ואת המעויינים הגזורים יישנתי בקצוות עם דיו דיסטרס והדבקתי אקראית עם דבק ספוג.
הנה כמה תקריבים:

אני מאד אוהבת את התוצאה, וסביר מאד להניח שלא הייתי מגיעה להכין דף כזה, אלמלא ההשראה של אש קטנה וההעתקה ממנה.

Scraplifting is very common in scrapbooking, and it is okay, as long as you keep the rules of scraplifting. Here's an excellent article about scraplifting, and I encourage you to read it.

With that said, I want to show you my scraplifting. I scrapflifted a layout a friend of mine did. We challenged eachother to do mutual scraplifting. My friend, Eshktana, is a very talented scrapper and we've become good friends IRL. Her work is alwyas an inspiration for me. Please pay her blog a visit, you won't be disappointed, I promise.

Here's Eshktana  page that I scraplifted (the photo is the 1st above).

I took almost everything from her page - pink for a boyish layout, the whole design (I only turned the design, since my photo was horizontal and her's was vertical), the elements, the colors (with the exception of adding blue dotted pp instead of green one). I also used a mask, only I worked with distress ink, while she used glimmer mist. For the small changes, my layout is not a CASE of her work, just scraplifting.If you wish to see how Eshktana scraplifted my work, you need to hop to her blog. enjoy it!

The photo was taken 5 years ago, and it's amazing how the boys have grown up....sigh...

Most of the supplies are from my October Counterfeit Kit, and I only added the corrugated cardboard and the journaling spot for my title.

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה, עם תמונה של הבנים, שצולמה לפני 5 שנים. מדהים איך הם גדלו...

כמעט כל החומרים בדף הם מקיט החיקוי של חודש אוקטובר, ולמעשה כולם שאריות (אף דף חדש לא נחתך לצורך ההכנה). הוספתי רק את הקרטון הגלי ואת תגית הכיתוב ששימשה לכותרת.
הקישוטים הם תוצרת עצמית - הפרחים המקופלים, העלים המקומטים, כפתורי השעם והבלינג.

Scrapping Everyday Miracles

We're on the middle of our summer vacation, and that means that I have very little time for scrapping... but we're having a real great vacation, going to museums, having old friends visiting us, playing at the pool and relaxing at the beach. 

Spkeaking of the beach, I have a few layout with photo from the beach to share with you. Today I'll share with you the 1st one.

The photo is of my boys, 4 months ago, when we actually opened our bathing season, on our Passover vacaion. They just love to jump at the waves :).

Some of the materials are from my August Counterfeit Kit - the accordion flower, the kraft stars, the MME strips and sticker for the title, so it's #4 lo with this kit.

I used August sketch from C'est Magnifique, drawn by Nadia Cannizzo, but I turned it, cause I liked it more in the horizontal design:

I've made it with the inspiration of case file #32 from CSI:

The 'clues' I've used to solve the case are: 

For the evidence: stars - I used kraft stars I cut from a Jillibean Soup dp, and I used the frame of the left over to make another stars, with cs and vellum to fill up the gaps. I also used some starfish trinkets and star beads; my translucents items are the vellum, the white mesh for the matting and the star beads; the wet medium for me is the glimmer mist I used to color the gauze, and I really love the airy feeling it gives to the lo; I used vellum not only for the stars, but also as the main horizontal strip, and I used MS border punch on it; dots - with mask (the light blue in the background) and rub-ons (the dark brown); I also used mesh and gauze.

For the matting of the photo I've created kind of a 'window' from corrugated cardboard, and  I soften the inside edges with white acrylic paint (another wet medium I've used).

I was really inspired by the 'treasure' theme of the case, so I've added some pearls, beads and rhinestones to complete the look. oh, did you see the little seahorse trinket on the right side of the photo? can anyone tell what movie I just saw with the kids?....

For the testimony: my journaling is about our beach trip. 

I would like to enter it also for Scrapping Evereyday Miracles, which asked for favorite vacaion plus using a mask (I used a Crafter's Workshop circles mask).

אנחנו בעיצומה של חופשת הקיץ המשותפת שלנו, וזה אומר עוד פחות זמן לסקראפ מהרגיל... בקייטנת אמא יש פעילות בכל יום, ובסה"כ הזמן עובר עלינו בנעימים. הסופ"ש הזה היה בסימן של העדר פעילות מתוכננת, וכך נמצא לו גם הזמן להכין דף אלבום נוסף. ברוח הקיץ, השתמשתי בתמונה של הבנים משתעשעים בים, רק שזה היה בתחילת העונה, בחופשת הקיץ. הים היה אז סוער למדי, אבל לשמחתי הילדים שלי היו מאד זהירים ולא נכנסו מעבר לקו המותניים, כפי שאפשר גם לראות בתמונה.

חלק מהחומרים בדף הזה נלקחו מקיט החיקוי של חודש אוגוסט (פרח המניפה, הכפתורים, הקארדסטוק הלבן, הדוילי והכוכבים מקראפט. גם הרצועות האופקיות מהדפים המדוגמים, כמו גם הכותרת, הם מאותו קיט - תוצרת MME). 

הקישוטים בחום כהה הם מדף ראב-אונים בו זכיתי לפני כמה חודשים. השתמשתי בדף וולום כחול, גם לרצועה האופקית הרחבה, שפינצ'צ'תי עם בורדר פאנצ' של מרתה סטיוארט ,וגם כמילוי לכוכבים מקראפט. המסגרת שלהם היא בעצם השארית של חיתוך הכוכבים עצמם - ניצול שאריות במיטבו, או פינת החסכן במיטבה :). 

כשכבה ראשונה הנחתי תחבושת צבועה עם גלימר מיסט. אני אוהבת את המראה האוורירי שהתחבושת הצבועה נותנת לדף כולו.

כמאטינג לתמונה השתמשתי בקרטון גלי, אלא שהפעם בשונה מהרגיל, את התמונה הנחתי מתחת לקרטון ויצרתי בו 'חלון', שאת שוליו הפנימיים 'לכלכתי' בצבע אקרילי לבן. בין הקרטון הגלי לתחבושת ולדף הוולום, הנחתי גם דף של רשת לבנה עדינה מאד, עם זריקות של צבע עליה.

ההשראה לדף הייתה מ-CSI. שילוב הצבעים הפעם הוא אחד מהאהובים עלי ביותר - גווני כחול עם גוונים של חום וקראפט בהיר. האווירה באתגר הייתה קצת של 'אוצר', או לפחות זו הייתה האווירה שאני חשתי, אז הוספתי גם כמה פנינים, אבני חן וחרוזים - כדי לדמות את האוצרות שנשפכים מתיבת אוצר שנפתחה בלב הים. הוספתי גם תליוני מתכת של כוכבי ים וסוסון ים, להשלמת האווירה הימית. ברקע גם עבדתי עם מסיכה של עיגולים ודיו תכלת בהיר.

אני אוהבת את התמונה ואת הדף שיצא. מה דעתכן? אשמח לקרוא תגובות :).

My take on #22 case file at CSI. The photo is of my youngest and I, when he was 5 months old. The hidden journaling is one of my longest ones. I wrote about my son's special way in this world, with his special personality. I also wrote about (some of) my wishes for him.

For the eveidence - patterned ribbon (the dotty one), corrugated (white) cardboard, border punch.

For the testimony - I added trim to my journaling spot and wrote about 3 of my wishes for my son.

עוד אתגר משולב של צבעים, חומרים/טכניקות וג'ורנלינג. הפעם ברוח חגיגות יובל היהלום של המלכה אליזבת...

תמונה שלי עם צעיר הבנים, בשלהי חופשת הלידה, רגע לפני החזרה לעבודה. הפעם כתבתי די הרבה, יחסית אלי,  בג'ורנלינג החבוי מאחורי התמונה. כתבתי על הדרך המשותפת שאנחנו עושים, על מציאת מקומו המיוחד בעולם ומקצת מהאיחולים שלי עבורו.

באתגר הרביעי שלה, אהבה בסוף הקיץ, הזמינה צרויה עבודות קיציות. הכותרת לאתגר הייתה 'אהבה בסוף הקיץ', כשמו של מיני אלבום מקסים ויפהפה שהכינה צרויה.

צרויה דיברה על האהבה בסוף הקיץ, ואני בהשלמה של המעגל, הכנתי דף על האהבה בתחילת הקיץ. כשמזג האוויר מתחיל להתחמם, והשמש שולחת קרניים ארוכות ומחממות, ועדיין לא חם מאד באופן בלתי נסבל, זה זמן מושלם להגיע לים.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, לפני כ-5 שנים. זה היה יום חם, אחרי פסח, ומייד אחרי שאספתי את הילדים מהגנים, נסענו לים.  המחצלת נמצאת תמיד בתא המטען של הרכב, וארוחת אחה"צ בים הייתה (רחמנא ליצלן לתזונה הלקויה...) - חטיפים. ובתמונה, צעיר הבנים זולל בתאבון ובשמחה את החטיף המועדף עליו - אפרופו. בכלל לא הפריע לו שנכנס גם חול לכל הסיפור, והא ראיה - פרצופו המרובב בחול :))).

כל הדפים המדוגמים בדף הזה הם מהקיט של צרויה 'זרעי קיץ'. על הקארדסטוק הלבן התזתי קצת גלימר מיסט כחלחל. השתמשתי בקרטון גלי ובמאטינג קראפט לתמונה - צבעים שמשתלבים כל כך נפלא עם צבעי הקיט.

העיגולים החלקיים שהופיעו בסקיצה התאימו בעיני כל כך לאחד הדפים מהקיט, שבו באחד מצידיו יש עיגולים המורכבים מתפזורת אותיות. באחד מהעיגולים החלקיים הללו השתמשתי ככותרת לכיתוב נסתר.

הכותרת, בשני פונטים - של 'קסם שימושי', ושל 'תוצרת הארץ'.

A lo with a photo of my youngest, almost 5 years ago. It was a hot day on April, and after taking the kids from their kindergartens, we went to the seaside. It was a great afternoon and we had a great time there. 

In the photo my youngest is eating one of his all time fav snacks (along with some sand...LOL).
