Smiles - case file no. 134 @ CSI

We have a beautiful summery palette at CSI, along with a fab sketch by talented Em Stafrace.
I used my Aug Counterfeit Kit for this lo:
Edit: one of the Top 3 at Frosted Designs!

AND one of the Fabulous Five
For August at Counterfeit Kit Challenge

The clues I used to solve this case file were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Sketch - checked.
Evidence - sun, ribbons, metal, circles.
Testimony - IW smile. hidden journaling on a tag - on one side I wrote some of the lines from an Israeli song named "Smiles", and it says, in free translation: "If the sun rises and it's a new one every morning; if the flowers just smile to the world; if there's a laughter rolling to the sky - so why don't we laugh with everyone else? You should learn from the flowers, not to be miserly with smiles, and the world, you'll see' will be suddenly so good; You should dream and hope, try just once; You should laugh, should live, should love". on the other side of the tag I wrote: "In these hard times of a war in Gaza, going on for almost 4 weeks, I want to remind myself how good it is to laugh, to love, to live. Your smiles, on a joyful  day in Eilat, warm my heart and encouriging me at this unpleasent period".
Here's the song (based on a French song):
I used papers from EP and MMe; die-cuts are from Fancy Pants, along with a circular chipboard; sun wood vener is MR, and so is the paper clip; buttons are from MME; the flair and the vellum tab and dot are from StudioFourteen40. I also used some modeling paste, Portfolio oil pastels and some Ayeeda's mist.
I would like to enter it also for the following challenges:
August challenge at Creative Embellishments, with this inspiration photo:
(I was inspired by the orange/yellow colors and by the wavy design of the inspiration photo, which reminded me rolling laughter, plus my title is the name of the song).
Stamps, masks and paper clip - Frosted Designs.

Special case file at CSI: S365-7 with scrap365

A little earlier than usual, a new special case file it up at CSI, with Scrap365, case file S365-7:
And this is my take on this case file, with a photo of my boys going down the mountain from David's Fall at Judea desert:
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Evidence - clouds, hot-air balloon, stripes, polka dots, string, labels
Testimony - inpiration word 'high', plus ducumenting an adventure. the journaling is on the tag behind the layers, and it says: "On Independence day 2012, we went for a trip to David's Fall. the way to the fall was pretty easy one, and then we decided to climb up the mountain, to the top of the fall. Climbing up so high was quite an adventure and was not that easy, but we did it!"
I used the sketch #120 from Sketchabilities:
I used a flair from StudioFourteen40 and the hot-air balloon chipboard is from Creative Embellishments. I colored the chipboards with gesso and oil pastels.

Crazy for you - CSI #123

Case file #123 is up at CSI, with a mysterious inspiration photo:
Well, my take on this challenge is more to the crazy side LOL. I used photos of my boys inside a 'shark' mouth, on our visit to the underwater observatory in Eilat 6 months ago. The boys had so much fun getting inside the shark's mouthe, making horrified funny faces.  They were really something :).
I used Carta Bella Rough & Thmble collection, and went crazy with the mixed media background. I used two flairs from StudioFourteen40 (Boys will be boys set 2; Post Mark set 1).
I used sketch 30.1 from May challenge at Page Drafts, which is called 'One of a kind', documenting that special and wonderful day. Here's the sketch:
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all 5 colors are there.
Evidence - mixed media background, a creature (the 'shark'), rub-ons and stamps, drape something.
Testimony - I wrote my journaling directly on the background paper, all around the edges of the page, just like in the PD sketch. I also used the inspiration words 'mystery' and 'enchanted' to describe our experiences at the underwater observatory that day.
I would like to enter this lo also for the current challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo, which asked to use at least 3 stamps. I used  4 different stamps on my background.
Here are some close-ups on the details;

Missing You

Edit: this lo won 'Star Witness' at CSI!

This is my take on March sketch at Skissedilla, March moodboard at Scrap Around the World, and case file #115 at CSI.
Usually I don't do girly pages, but the challenges at SATW and at CSI inspired me to go out of my comfort zone of boyish/masculine pages and make a girly one, about me!
Here's the sketch from Skissedilla:
Here's the moodboard at Scrap Aroung The World:
I was inspired by the pink/peach colors of the dress, and the layers of it. I was also inspired by the blooms, so springy :). Another inspiration was the typewriter, which gave me the vintage/retro feeling, as my old photo is.
It also goes for the black/white photo challenge at Scrapy-Wyzwaniowo.
Here's case file #115 at CSI:
The photo is of my Dad and me, way back when I was about 2 year old.
The clues I used to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Evidence - hearts, lace, bird, grid, leaves, flowers, stamps, mixed media background.
Testimony - I used on of the prompt - 'In what good ways you are like you father?' My Dad passed away more than 17 years ago. I still miss him a lot. He was a man who stood up for what he believed in, without fear. Part of mymy jouranling is on the front, and part on the back of the page, and it says: "Mom used to say that I'm so alike  you, having the same character you had. And indeed, just like you, I stand up for what I belive in, going with all the way with my truth, till the end, never giving up. From you I've learnt not to be afraid even facing very powerful people. Although it has been a long time since you passed away, I miss you. I miss you so much. I long to talk with you, tell you what's going on with the kids, with my work. longing to hear your insights, your good advice. I wish I could only once hear you saying to me: 'you're no longer a dummy, you're already a butterfly', or seeing in your eys how much you're proud of me. I still have that big hole in my heart cause you're not here anymore."

Sweet Birthday Party - Stuck?! Feb 1st reveal

This is my DT layout for Feb 1st sketch reveal at Stuck?!, with this fab sketch by Laura:
The photo is of my boys, when we celebrated the youngest's birthday at the Chocolate Restaurant.
For my page I used lots of mists - Lindy's Stamp Gang (tainted love teal), Heidi Swapp (seafoam) and Mr Huey's (warm calico&opaque white). On the background I also used Stucio Calico's mask with gesso, Stampers Anonymous' stamp, washi tape and builder tape, and added some Bella Blvd arrows stickers. For the matting I used scraps from Lilly Bee designs, Heidi Swapp and Little Yellow Bicycle. More embellies are Echo Park sticker, and die-cuts (TH dies) and some balck half perals. I also used supper cute Wycinanca's gears border, which I painted with Portfolio's oil pastels.
Here are close-ups on the details:

We'd love to see your take on this sketch, so join us in the fun!
Thank you for stopping by and I'd love to read your comments.
