The photo was taken on April 2016, on our visit at Disneyland in Paris. By that time, my boys have already introduced me to the world of the Superheros (Marvel, DCComics), and I was totaly swept away with this world. Something I've learned from my kids :).
Testimony - IW smile. hidden journaling on a tag - on one side I wrote some of the lines from an Israeli song named "Smiles", and it says, in free translation: "If the sun rises and it's a new one every morning; if the flowers just smile to the world; if there's a laughter rolling to the sky - so why don't we laugh with everyone else? You should learn from the flowers, not to be miserly with smiles, and the world, you'll see' will be suddenly so good; You should dream and hope, try just once; You should laugh, should live, should love". on the other side of the tag I wrote: "In these hard times of a war in Gaza, going on for almost 4 weeks, I want to remind myself how good it is to laugh, to love, to live. Your smiles, on a joyful day in Eilat, warm my heart and encouriging me at this unpleasent period". Here's the song (based on a French song):
I used papers from EP and MMe; die-cuts are from Fancy Pants, along with a circular chipboard; sun wood vener is MR, and so is the paper clip; buttons are from MME; the flair and the vellum tab and dot are from StudioFourteen40. I also used some modeling paste, Portfolio oil pastels and some Ayeeda's mist.
I would like to enter it also for the following challenges:
(I was inspired by the orange/yellow colors and by the wavy design of the inspiration photo, which reminded me rolling laughter, plus my title is the name of the song).
Evidence - chevrons, polka dots, flowers, numbers (on the envelope behind the photo), ampersand, heart, transparent element (the vellum tab), scallops.
Testimony - my circular journaling spot has a decorative edge, and I used all the inspiration words on my journaling: "Life with you are a continuous invitation for adventures, celebration and joy. there's always a funny face, a happy frank and a cracking up. Eilat, Nov 2013". I would like to enter it also to the June challenge at Orange Paperie & Co., which is a tic tac toe challenge. I have two rows - twine, orange chippies and punching, orange, cogs.

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog. I appreciate every comment you care to leave me.
I turned the sketch to fit the photo of my boys, and of course I added more layers to the basic sketch.
My inspiration for the palette was from the extra challenge at Color Me Scrappy, with this moodboard (I tookd the left photo):
Tammy, the new owner of CMS, asked what do we like/dislike about color challenges. Well, I like color challenge for two reasons: first it makes me go out of my comfort zone, use colors of colors combo I normally don't use, and I feel it evolves my creativity. The second reason is that it makes me use some of my hoarded/neglected papers and embellies.
The palette I chose was one of my fav - green/blue/yellow/gray, so it was easy to work with it. I decided to use some of my most old and neglected papers - DCWV 'The Guy' stack and 'Cafe Mediterranean' stack. I added some scraps of Basic Gray and Echo Park, along with StudioFourteen40' flair (A Happy life set 3) and vellum dot (Everyday dot - set 1) and tab (Everyday tab set 2 - out of stock but I hope it will soon be back!). I would like to enter it also to the Word challenge at Scrap&Play, with the word 'flowers'. my choises are: F-flair button; L-layers; O- one photo; W - white; E- Echo Park polka dots pp; R- round vellum dot; S - sequins.

Case file #122 at CSI is up, with a beautiful inspiration photo and awesome palette:
This is my take on the challenge:
A photo of my oldest, taken about 6 months ago on a vacation we had in Eilat. He has so many qualities and I couldn't dream of a better child. The title says in Hebrew: "You are the child I've asked for", and it's the nave of an Israeli song.
This is how I solved the case:
Sketch (by the talented Em Stafrace) - I've changed it a bit, beacuase I wanted to use one photo, rather than many small photos, so I've minimized the upper banner, which was made from scraps of the big banners under the photo.
Scheme - all colors are here.
Evidence - actually I used all the elements here :) flowers, leaves, metal (brads from my stash and StudioFourteen40's flair buttons from Boys will be boys set 5 & A happy life set 5), ribbon (baker's twine to hold the upper banner), something transparent (StudioFourteen40 vellum dots set 4 & vellum file tabs), grid pattern (on the two green pp), cursive font (some of the block alphas of the title and my handwritten journaling tag), circles, fabric (gauze), labels, tags and sprig.
Testimony - hidden journaling on a tag, handwritten in cursive, and it says: "Even in my best dreams I couldn't ask for a better child than you are. Your talented and wise, loving and caring, considerate and helps me in so many ways. You have a big sensetive and loving heart and I hope you'll remain like that forever. You are the child I've asked for, the one I always dreamed about. Love you, Mom. April 2014." I would like to enter this lo to current challenge at The Crafty Scrapper, which is 'use layers'. this challenge is right up my alley, as I always use many layers on my laouts :).
