Sending sunshine to brighten your day - Just Us Girls challenge

Mentioned at Just Us Girls

With all the bad news around, I really needed something to brighten my day, you can call it escampism... I do hope for better days for us.

So the current challenge at Just Us Girls #674, Sunshine, was so perfect for me:

Instead of using a sunshine image, I just went on sunshine colors - bright yeallo and apricot.

The current challenge at Inkspirational #287, was also prefect for this card, as they asked for a Clean & Simple card, with the optional twist of sunshine or rain:
I stamped the butterfly (MFT Brilliant Butterflies stamps and dies set) with two tones of yellow, adding some more ink to the edges, to make some depth. The intricate lace wings were stamped with apricot ink, and the body itself - in black.

The sentiments (SU  Sending Smiles stamps and dies set) were stamped with yellow and apricot inks.

I aranged the elements on a white vanilla cs, using some foam dots, and matted it with an apricot cs, then adhered the panel to a white cs basis.

I finished the card with some clear drops.

Everything Beautiful has it's Moment - a CAS card

A Top Cup at Sundy Stamps

I've been a little MIA lately, health issues, but now I'm getting better each day.

Today I'd like to share with you this CAS card I made.

I stamped some 'paint splatters' with pale aqua distress ink, and added some real gold splatters. I stamped the background of the butterfly with two tones of lime green ink, and the detaild one with black ink. The sentiment was also stamped in black.

I adhered two b/w stripes pp, and added a thin gold washi tape in the middle of each of them.

The pannel was adhered to the white cs basis with foam tape.

To a Dear Friend

I was very intrigued by the colors given at As You See It challenge blog, and wanted to give it a go.

Here's the inspiration photo:

I die cut the flower and colored it with inks in Ranger's Tea Rose archival ink, TH Bundled Sage disress ink and Ranger's Library Green archival ink. Then I adhered it to another 3 identical die cuts. to give some dimension.

I die cut twice the leaves and colored them with Bundled Sage disress ink.

I embossed a dark greenish/turquoise dp and adhered it to the bottom of a kraft cs, and above it I added a jute and lace ribbon.

I adhered the flowers and the leaves on top. The sentiment (Stampin' Up) was stamped with the dark green ink on a kraft cs, fussy cut around and mounted on a sage cs, and then I adhered it on the ribbon.

The panel was matted with dark green cs and then mounted on the kraft cs basis.

As I really love this color combo, I just might use it for another card, this time a more masculine one.

It goes for the following challenges:

Follow your heart - a card for Color Throwdown

A card, again clean & simple, for the current challenge at Color Throwdown #601:
I must admit - the colors combo was a bit challenging for me, not my colors combo, but the photo inspiration was so beautiful and the DT's works gave so much inspiration, so I had to give it a try.
For the 'brush storkes' I used distress inks, and for the sentiment and the small spots - archival ink.

Just be yourself - an art journal for Art and Soul Studio

Happy Monday, I'm excited to share with you my creation as a Guest Designer for Art & Soul Studio blog.
I was inspired by the current challenge, which is a bold and beautiful moodboard, and you have to use red:
I took my inspiration from the feminine photos, the checkered pattern and the splatters, and decided to make an art journal, with a message from the older me to the younger me.
Here're some close ups:

I also made a video of the creative porcess:
I was also inspired by two more challenges:
7 Dots Studio, with this stunning moodboard:
7 Dots Studio products I've used - Writer's block tags and die cuts; Furtune teller 6x6 pad; Thoughts Keeper stamps.
Lindy's Gang November colorful challenge:
Other products I've used:
Ranger's Archival ink - vermillion, watering can, shadow gray, jet black.
Kaisercraft - texture stains clear stamp set.
Unknown - circle stamps.
