This is a lo I've made as a Special Agent at CSI, for case file #98:

My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors used. I admit the purple was very challenging for me, so I had it in a very small amount - with the dew drops and sequins.
Evidence - stripes, polka dots, pages, frames, spiral notebook punch, labels.
Testimony - journaling on the tag behind the photo: "Giving birth to the two of you and creating my own special family, was a dream come true. There aren't enough words to describe the happiness I felt on each of the days you were born."

זה הדף השלישי שלי החודש כמעצבת אורחת ב-CSI. שילוב הצבעים הפעם היה לי יותר קשה, עם הסגול. הדרך לפתור את הקושי הייתה להשתמש במעט מאד מהסגול, רק עם כמה נגיעות של dew drops ופאייטים.

השתמשתי בכמה דפים שנמצאים אצלי כבר זמן רב, של Bo Bunny (דף הרקע), October Afternoon, DCWV. את מסגרת הצ'יפבורד הלבנה צבעתי עם דיו גירי צהוב, וכמאטינג לכל השכבות שמתי חיתוך דוילי של CheeryLynn.

So Cool! - GD for Scrap Africa

I was very thrilled when my lo 'Strike a Pose' lo was chosen as one of the Top at Scrap Africa  for their 'Blue/Green and White challenge , and I was very honored when Denise asked me to be their Guest Designer for October 1st challenge.

I was asked to make a lo based on this sketch from Page Maps:

The photo is of my youngest, about 18 months ago, at the beach. 

For the background I used CW bricks mask with modeling paste and then I maked the 'bricks' with another CW circles mask, to mimic the pebbles in the photo. I used some lace, zig-zag trim, star and film strip die-cut (both Sizzix TH Alternations). I also used some gauze, and  placed some metal embellishments on it, as if you've found a treasure comming out of the sea.

זכיתי במקום ראשון בבלוג של Scrap Africa באתגר של כחול/ירוק ולבן, עם הדף הזה, והוזמנתי להיות מעצבת אורחת שלהם החודש, עם אתגר סקיצה.

עבדתי עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים בחוף הים, שצולמה לפני כשנה וחצי. הרקע מורכב ממסיכה של לבנים עם משחת עיצוב, ולאחר שהמשחה התייבשה, החתמתי אותה עם מסיכה נוספת של עיגולים, כדי לדמות את חלוקי האבן שעל חוף הים. השתמשתי בתחרה ובסרט זיג-זג ובחיתוך של סרט צילום שנעשה עם ידידי הביג שוט. הוספתי גם תחבושת עליה מיקמתי כמה קישוטי מתכת, כאילו מצאת אוצר שנפלט מבין גלי הים.

 The new sketch at PageMaps was a great starting point for me to create this lo, with a photo of my boys a few years ago. Here's the sketch:

I've used the color palatte from July's PPP at Prima. I used lots of Prima's goodies: flowers, vines, mistables, stamps, a brad, a wood envelope, chipboard, say it in crystals and alpha stickers. Other than the Prima's products, I also used AC & Bazzill cs, gesso, mists,embossing ink&powder, a doily, distress ink and cheesecloth.

I love this photo of my kids, they look so happy, simply celebrating life. So I would like to enter it also for the word inspiration challenge at BITW, and since the photo was taken on the outside, I enter it also for 'The great outdoors' challenge at Frosted Designs.

דף חדש שהכנתי לכמה אתגרים - סקיצה של PageMaps, שילוב צבעים של Prima, השראה ממילה של BITW ונושא של פעילות מחוץ לבית ב-Frosted Designs.

ברקע, שרק מבצבץ, יש עבודה עם ג'סו, השפרצות, חותמות ואמבוסינג. הרבה פרחים של פרימה, ענפים, קישוטי עץ, צ'יפבורדים, חותמות וקנבס רזיסט.

Totally - a lo

Here's a lo I've made for Prima July BAP, with the inspiration of #81 case file at CSI and the blue/yellow challenge at Inkido.

The photo is of my youngest, and it was taken about 2 years ago, when he graduated kindergarten. I just love this photo of him.

Here's Prima's sketch I worked with:

All dp here are from several Prima's collections, and so are the flowers, flutter vine, bulb embellishment,  wooden buttons and words stickers. I also used IB chalk ink and IB distressing tool.

Apart from Prima's products, I also used Bazzill kraft cs,cheese cloth, twine, pale green sheer ribbon, AC Thickers. The date was made with my Dymo, and I used MS border punch.

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - all colors are here.

Evidence - twiggy branches, jute(cheesecloth)/twine, scalloped edges, circles (dotty dp, buttons), lightbulb accent.

Testimony - documented 6 awesome things about my boy, inspiration word (awesome).  On the back of the page, I wrote a few things about and to my boy: "You are so special and unique, and you have your own special way in this world. You've had your own way ever since you were born, and you keep going your own direction each and everyday ever since. You are really something and I love you so much. Mom."

דף חדש שהכנתי בשילוב של 3 אתגרים שונים: סקיצה של פרימה, השראה של CSI והשראה של Inkido.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, לפני כשנתיים, בסיום גן חובה. אני מאד אוהבת את התמונה הזאת, ובמיוחד את גרסת השחור/לבן שלה.

מסתבר שאפשר פרימה לדפים של בנים. רק צריך לנסות :)).

Summer 09 plus winners of my giveaway

Another  lo with my March Counterfeit kit, and this time something a little different from my usual style.  Almost everything in this lo is from this kit, and I only added the pink dp scraps.

I was inspired by the color palette #145 TCR, only instead of a girly look, I used it for a boyish layout, and I think it turned out well.

I used March sketch from Sketches With A Twist:

The twist was to use washi tape. Well, I used it in a creaitve way - I've made my paper straw from a washi tape! Here's a tutorial I've made how to make those straws.

In this sketch I was really atracted to the motion of the circles, and to create a motion on my lo, I painted with gesso, then applied some Mr. Huey's mist and stampped with circles stamp.

I was also inpired by this month's challenge at Scrap For Help, which was to use burlap/cheesecloth. Once again I used a plastic cloth tag to indicate the date (09 on the title).

דף נוסף מקיט החיקוי של חודש מרץ, בסגנון לא כל כך שגרתי אצלי. פלטת הצבעים ב-TCR הייתה הפעם  מאד נשית, אבל אני חושבת שהיא יכולה גם ללכת עם דפים של בנים, והתוצאה מוצאת חן בעיני. כדי ליצור את תחושת התנועה בדף, שמאד איפיינה בעיני את הסקיצה בה השתמשתי, מרחתי ג'סו במעין פיתול מלמעלה כלפי מטה, השפרצתי קצת Mr. Huey's והחתמתי עם חותמת עיגולים. הייתה דרישה גם לשימוש בוואשי טייפ, אז השתמשתי באחד מקשי הנייר שהכנתי מוואשי טייפ. כמצע לקשים השתמשתי בגאזה, שזו הייתה הדרישה באתגר אחר. הוספתי גם גאזה מתחת לאחת מפינות המטאינג ומתחת לפרח שבראש הדף, כדי לאחד את המרכיבים בדף.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, בקיץ 09, בקייטנה שבה השתתף. כשאני מסתכלת על התמונה הזאת, אני נדהמת מחדש כמה הוא גדל ב-4 השנים שחלפו.

You Are So Loved

This is my take on December's sketch at My Mind's Eye blog:

The photo is of my youngest, when he was 6 months old, and my hidden journaling documents 8 facts about him at that age.

I was inspired by case file #50 at CSI (I really liked this palette, and this is my 2nd lo with this palette):

My 'clues' to solve the case were:

Evidence: ribbon, fabric, stripes, metal; Testimony: a ribbon on my hiddend journaling tag and the journaling documents 8 facts about my boy when he was at that age.

Almost everything here is MME, and I mixed a few collections:

dp - The Sweetest Thing/Bluebell/Bright; Indie Chic/Nutmeg/Boy.

stickers - Lost&Found 3 Oliver.

brads - Indie Chic/Nutmeg; Lost&Found 3/Oliver.

stamps - Indie Chic/Nutmeg/Hanging Out.

Other: burlap, Mr. Huey's color mist (classic tan), TH Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy & faded jeans), AC brads, MR kraft envelope, Signo Uniball black pen.

I used 12 brads (11 you can see, and onother one is on the journaling tag, inside the envelope), so it also goes for the challenge at Frosted Designs.

פלטת הצבעים ב-CSI כל כך מצאה חן בעיני, שהכנתי ממנה דף נוסף. הפעם עם תמונה של הבכור, כשהיה בן 6 חודשים. רוב המוצרים בהם השתמשתי בדף הזה הם של My Mind's Eye - דפים מדוגמים, בראדים, חותמות וסטיקרים. הוספתי עוד כמה בראדים של American Crafts, בד יוטה, גאזה, ומעטפה של Maya Road. קצת התזות של Mr. Huey's ויישון עם שני צבעים שונים של דיו דיסטרס. הפעם נתתי מנוחה למכשיר ההשחתה של אינגבילד (מפתיע, נכון?) וההשחתה נעשתה ע"י קריעה. גם הביג שוט נותר מיותם זו הפעם.

Days of innocence

This is my take on two challenges - a sketch challenge and a color combo challenge.

The color combo is #134 palatte from The Color Room:

I was very inspired by a very tallented lady - Janna Werner, especially by this lo.

I used dp from Simple Stories, Fancy Pants and Pink Paislee; cs - AC and Bazzill; rub-ons: EK Success; alphas: Ep (the big ones) and My Little Shoebox (the tiny ones); pom pom riboon: October Afternoon; stickers: Cosmo Cricket, EP; chipboard buttons: WP; mist: Mr. Huey's; baker's twine: Q&Co.; misc.: homemade crochet doily, staples, strip ribbon, gauze and office paperclip - from my stash.

The photo is of my youngest, when he was about 14 months.

לא להיבהל מהדף בצבעי כריסטמס... נדלקתי על פלטת הצבעים שהייתה ב-The color room וגם על הסקיצה המאד מעניינת. משם כבר הכל התגלגל,  ואפילו די מהר.

קיבלתי השראה רבה להכנת הדף שלי מיוצרת גרמניה מאד מוכשרת, Janna Werner, ובמיוחד מהדף וההדרכה הללו (ותודה לחברותי ששלחו אותי להסתכל על הבלוג של הגברת הזאת).

בדף הזה השתמשתי בחומרים מחברות שונות (פירוט יש בטקסט באנגלית), ובמגוון של טכניקות. אני אוהבת את האפקט של הנזילות של Mr. Huey's ונהנית כל פעם למצוא דרך אחרת להשפריץ ולשחק איתו.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, כשהיה בן שנה וקצת, במסיבת הסיום של כיתת התינוקות במעון. הפרצוף שלו בתמונה, עם המוצץ בפה, משדר לי המון תום. ומייד הייתה האסוציאציה של "ימי התום". הכותרת היא בעלת משמעות כפולה, כי אלו ימי התום של תינוק על סף פעוט, ואלו ימי התום, השקט והשלווה של טרום מלחמת לבנון השניה. ממש זמן קצר לפני שנאלצנו לברוח מפני ההפגזות והיינו מעין פליטים.
