A butterfly card, in some earth tones - CTD meets FMS

The colors suggested by Wanda at The Color Throwdown # 720 were very appealing to me - kraft, copper, sage green and black:

I used these colors for a non-traditional butterly stamping (MFT 'More Brilliant Butterflies' stamp set), I used Lawn Fawn pizza crtust and sage leaf, and I must say - I really love how it came out!

For the desgin, I followed the sketch from Freshtly Made Sketches #563, given by Jen B:

I loved how the circle is cut by the frame and not full.

I die cut a doily from a black cardstock, and topped it with some circular die cut in kraft. I adhered it to the white panel, with some of the doily going out of the edge, and cut the excess.

On top of it I adhered the stamped butterfly with foam tape and added a glittery copper enamel dot in the middle.

I think that the cut doily and the off the edge butterfly gives the card a bit of an interest, don't you think?

I stamped the sentiment (Mazal Tov in Hebrew) in sage, and added some more glittery copper enamel dots.

The white panel was double matted with matching colors cardstocks and adhered to the white basis.

And here's the card:
I used sketch no. 418 at Freshly Made Sketches:
This card also goes for the current challenge at TGIF, which is Happy Birthday!

Birthday cards for MTW - Treat Yourself

Two birthday cards for the mini challenge at More Than Words challenge blog:
The challenge asked to use the words "treat and/or trick". As we don't celebrate Halloween, the theme of treat or trick is not really part of our lives, but treat is certainly something universal :).

Believe in Magic - CSI case file no. 255

Happy Friday dear crafty friends,
It's a new month so there's a new challenge at CSI - case file no. 255:
At first I was inspired by the girl's dress. It reminded me the Princess' dress at Disneyland Paris. We went there on April 2016.
I let my self be a little girl again, and I went to meet the princess :).
My clues to solve the case were: solid white background, stripes and dots (the stencil in the background), glitter, texture paste heat embossing (the chipboard title), people embellishments (the tags with the vintage ladies), stars (on the title).
I added my journaling on the circular part of the small doilies, and it says: "Being a little girl again, believing in Princesses and delighted to meet one of them. Disneyland Paris, April 2016".
I've used Maja Design papers, from the 'Vingage Autumn' collection.
Lots of mixed media here -
Finnabair products: white and clear gesso, soft matte gel, heavy body gel, mini art stones, texture paste white.
Other products: Scrapiniec chipboard, I am Roses flowers, Kaisercraft stamps, TanySol doily die, Memnto Teal Zeel ink.

Here are some close-ups to the details:

I would like to enter it to the challenge at Mixed Media & Art, with this beautiful moodboard:
I really love this color combo!
Also for the 'Anything Goes challenge at SimonSays Wednesday challenge and the 'Stencil it' challenge at A vintage Journey blog (my layout is some shabby chic mixed media style)

Small Gifts

Sharing my take on Aug challenge at Once Upon A...Sketch, with this beautiful sketch and awesome theme to journal about the men in our lives:
The photo is of my darling boys, and the title says, in Hebrew: Small Gifts. it's the title of very beautiful Israeli song, and I used the lyrics for my journaling. In free translation it says: "Small gifts, someone sent me small gifts, shards of light, circles of faith; Small gifts, someone sent me small gifts, like the strength to accept what we don't have, what we have. what else can I ask for."
I also goes for the chevrons challenge at Frosted Designs.
I used my Aug Counterfeit Kit, with StudioFourteen40 flairs, Petaloo flowers, and Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst and magical. I also used Cheery Lynn Design doily die.

True Beauty - a lo for Stuck?! June 1st reveal plus GD for Color Me Scrappy

One of my April's layouts won Top 3 at Color Me Scrappy, and I was invited to be a Guest Designer over there for June. Here's June 1st palette, with the added creteria to use at least 3 different manufacturers. Here's the palette:
I combined it with my DT assignment for Stuck?! June 1st sketch:
I flipped the sketch to the side, and this is what I came up with:
At first, the color combo, with the pink, was very challenging for me, but I'm so pleased with how my lo came out! so soft and serene. The photo was taken on March this year, on the deck at Tel Aviv port. I've had a wonderful day, great weather and meeting my BFF.
The products I used to meet the CMS creteria:

Prima - pp, flowers
K & Co. - die cuts
Crate Paper - pp, a brad
My Mind's Eye - pp
Basic Grey - a brad
Fancy Pants - flair buttons
Purple Pumpkin - crochet doily

Here are some close-ups on the details:

much.

Don't Want to Sleep - Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge May 1st reveal

A new challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, and this time the prompt  is: Scrap or art journal your baby picture.  Journal anything unusual or interesting – were you a twin? sickly? curious?
As a baby I was very lively. My Mom telling that I just didn't want to sleep. not at all. She says it's not that I was upside down, awake by nights bus sleepy by days. I was awake all day long LOL. just wanted everyone to play with me. Mom was simply exhausted.
The photo is of me, around 6 months old, and my jouranling is all about that lively baby.
All papers on this lo, except the kraft cs, are Simple Stories/DIY Boutique. The crochet doily and the dotted flair button are Purple Pumpkin.
I would like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the Simple Stories products.
