Thanks for being you - a thanks card

One of the Top 3

Another Thanks card, with fall collrs.

I used distress oxide inks (festive berries, mustard seed and brushed corduroy) for the slplashes and the hollow leaves.

The splashes are SU and the sentiments are Duddlebug. The leaves dies are unbranded.

For the final touch, I added some glittery dots in coordinate colors.

The white panel was mounted with thin foam tapes on the kraft basis.

A butterfly on a branch - birthday wishes

One of the weekly fav

Happy Saturday and Shanna Tova everybody!

We had a lovely family gathering yesterday evening, and I spent the morning making a new card, a birthday wishes card. I used scraps of cs, both for the die cuts and for the stamping, reducing the scraps pile!

I die cut the background blue branch, using SSS Clustered Leaves die, and then I die cut from a navy blue cs with SSS Detailed Clustered die, and layered it on the blue branch. I adhered the double branch to the white basis.

I stamped and die cut the butterfly, using MFT More Brilliant Butterflies stamps and dies set (on of my FAV!), with distress oxide inks (mutard seeds, squeezed lemonade and chipped sapphire).

I die cut a small flower and small circles from a yellow cs, adhered it to the branch and above all - adhered the butterfly with foam tape.

The sentiment (SU) was stamped over a yellow cs and adhered to the basis with foam tape.

Three flowers bouquet birthday card

Today I'm sharing with you a birthday card I made in lovely colors, one of my fav color combos - green, pink and gray.

The three flowers bouquet was made with stamps (first layer) and two die cuts, that I colored with inks in green and pink (the 2nd and 3rd layers). The sentiment was stamped with gray ink

The white panel with the bouquet was double matted with olive green cardstock and gray cardstock, and then adhered to the white basis.

I also added some gray enamel dots for more interest.

Birthday Wishes in green and yellow

I loved both the color challenge at Color Throwdown, and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, so I combined them into my birthday card.

I stamped the flowers using two yellow inks, so I got a tone on tone look. The center of the flowers were stamped with blackk ink. I die cut them with the coordinate dies (Papertrey Ink Pop-up Florals set).

I stamped the sprigs,on a white cs, using two different SU stamps set (Heavenly Hollyhocks and Sending Smiles), in mint and dark green.

I then aranged the flowers on top of the stamped sprigs, using foam dots for the bigger flower.

I stamped the sentiment (SU Sending Smiles), and adhered it to the flower and the panel.

I matted the white panel on a dark green cs, and then adhered it on the white basis.

For the final touch, I adhered some mint dots.

It also goes for the 'Garden' challenge at Addicted to CAS:

Sending sunshine to brighten your day - Just Us Girls challenge

Mentioned at Just Us Girls

With all the bad news around, I really needed something to brighten my day, you can call it escampism... I do hope for better days for us.

So the current challenge at Just Us Girls #674, Sunshine, was so perfect for me:

Instead of using a sunshine image, I just went on sunshine colors - bright yeallo and apricot.

The current challenge at Inkspirational #287, was also prefect for this card, as they asked for a Clean & Simple card, with the optional twist of sunshine or rain:
I stamped the butterfly (MFT Brilliant Butterflies stamps and dies set) with two tones of yellow, adding some more ink to the edges, to make some depth. The intricate lace wings were stamped with apricot ink, and the body itself - in black.

The sentiments (SU  Sending Smiles stamps and dies set) were stamped with yellow and apricot inks.

I aranged the elements on a white vanilla cs, using some foam dots, and matted it with an apricot cs, then adhered the panel to a white cs basis.

I finished the card with some clear drops.

It's time to celebrate you - CAS Colours & Sketches

One of the weekle winners

CAS Colours & Sketches #498 has a double challenge - colors AND a sketch:

My take on the sketch is a little loose - I replaced the big circles with pink flowers, the middle one emphesized with layers of stamping  and die cut, while the small circles between are the leaves and the small pale blue flowers.

I added some clear dew drops:

I love how delicate and feminine this card turned out!

A monochromatic blue birthday card

One of the Top 3

I came across a great video by Jennifer McGuire, where she domonstrate stamping on a dark cardstocks, and I wanted to give it a try (you can see the video HERE).

It's a great technique and I'm sure I'll be using it more in the future.

I used solid dark blue cardstock, but stamping with the white pigment ink gave it a pale bluish tone, and made the blue ink stand out.

For outlining the flowers and leaves, I traced the edges with an embossing brush, and so I did inside the flowers, and then heat embossed with white ep.

The white outlines, along with the white matting make the whole design just pop up.

I added some glitter silver enmael dots as an extra accent.

Here're some close ups to showcase the different blue tones:
