Nantes December 2018 - 13@rts & Sketches In Thyme

At the last day of this year, I'm sharing a layout I've made for two challenges.
One is the inspiration challenge at 13@rts blog:
I was inspired by the main image - the plaid pattern, the christmas trees, the wood floor, and the theme.
I've used 13@rts' stitches and word stickers, as well as their white ink.
The 2nd challenge is a sketch challenge from Sketches In Thyme, sketch no. 401 (I rotated the sketch on the side):
Here're some close-ups:

I wish you all a very Happy New Year!

It's the most wonderful time of the year - CSI case file no. 303

I can't believe it's already December! how time flies when having fun...
It's time for a new case file at CSI and it has a lovely inspiration photo:
For my layout I used one of the many photos I took last on December 2018, on my vacation in Nantes. The city was all decorated for Christmas and the Christmas markets were fabulous!
I used all 5 colors. For the evidence I used: polka dots, stripes, woodgrain, ornaments, trees, sequins, flowers, felt, I made the trees using a scalloped punch and used a sticker phrase. I documented something about Christmas and wrote 4 important things about that vacation.
I used Laura Whitaker's sketch from My creative Scrapbook:

LIfe is beautiful - October Counterfeit Kit

New months and new kit to counterfeit, at Coutnerfeit Kit Challenge blog. This time it's not a kit, rather a collection, and one by Prima - St. Tropez:
When I make my kits for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge, I start with the colors, then I go for pattrens and last are elements.
This is what I came up with for this collection:
Colors - mint/seafoam, navy blue, baby blue, brown, pink, cream, yeallow.
Pattrens - maps, flowrs, tripes, woodgrain, fruits.
Elements - nautical, boarding tickets, journaling cards, hearts, butterflies, bicycles, bloons, crystals, flowers. words - life, hello, ocean, journey.
With all of the above, I dived into my stash and this is what I came up with - 'Life is beautiful', my counterfeit kit:
main kit
rub-ons, smaller pp
alphas
bits & pieces

embellishments (lots of flowers, most of them handmade by me)
And what is a kit without an add-on one? So here's my 'Life is beautiful add-ons':
I really love this kit and I'm already working on a layout I'll be sharing with you in a day or two, so keep an eye.

Warm and cosy

We have a new sketch for you at Scrap Africa, sketch #40:
Isn't it just an awesome sketch?
Here's my take on this sketch:
I used products from 7 Dots, Thoughts Keeper collection by the talented Olda Heldwein, that I got as a giveaway, thank you Tusia Lech for your generousity!
I used 12x12 pp no. 2, and papers from the 6x6 pad, stamps and stickers - all from that fab collection. and I would like to enter it to 7 Dots' challenge, which is 'Warm and Cosy, just like my youngest's photo, taken when he was just a baby. Here's the inspiration circle from the challenge:

I also used modeling paste with some Perfect Pearls over The Crafter's Workshop stencil, and some modeling paste over a doily stencil.
To go along with the warm and cosy theme, I also adhered felt flowers, made with Die-Namics dies. StudioFourteen40' flairs, splatters of mists, dew drops, micro beads, large rhinestones, sequins and die-cut doily - and my lo is finished.
There's a lot of 3-D in this lo, so it also goes fot the 3-D challenge, exercise #2 at the Mixed Media Place.

A world that has been gone

A new challenge at CSI, special case file S365-9:
And this is my take on this case file:
My clues were:
Scheme - all 5 colors are here.
Evidence - leaves/branches, music elements, mist, hearts, fence, scatter something (scattered Stars of David),.
Testimony - I documented about a journey I had recently to Poland. this photo was taken at the old Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw. I wrote my journaling right on the background, and it reads: "A journey in time, to a world that has been and don't exist anymore. Great communities, enriched colture, a varied world, fuul of content. The Jewish Cemetery at Warsaw, a very big one, full of old tombstones, that tell the story of people who lived and contributed to their people, as much as to their country. A cemetery with so much sorrow in it, with a monument for 1.5 million jewish children, who were murdered by the Nazis."
It also goes fot the 'Good 'ol Days' challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show.

Good Luck card with a list of wishes - Scrap Africa October 15th reveal

Hi everyone! it's the 15th of the month, so it's a little busy here in my bloggy world, as I have 3 different DT projects to share, each on a seperate post :), so let's get started.
At Scrap Africa, our leader, the lovely Denise, asked us to make a projects with a list, which includes at least 10 items. well, this challenge was right up my alley, as I needed a 'good luck' card for our babysitter, who starts her B.A studies in a few days.
My card is fairly simple, no mixed media this time LOL:
For the list part, I used a My Mind's Eye stamp, which consist of 10 numbered lines, and I also framed it with a frame stamp, then I tucked it into a burlap pocket. I also used Prima stitches stamp on the backgroun dotty paper, added a die-cut felt flower and two ribbon roses, cut some felt leaves - and I'm done!
On the list I wrote our wishes for her, may she succeed. we love her dearly.

Door hanger

I've made a door hanger for my office, to hang when I'm at a meeting. the background is in a mixed media style, while the flowers were cut from felt. I love the contradiction between the two parts, plus I got to use some of my hoarded felt :).
To make the flowers I used Die-namics dies, in different sizes.
I would like to enter it to the flower challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous, for their 'All pretty flowers' challenge.
For the colors I was very inspired by September moodboard at Sassy Scrapper:
I loved this moodboard so much, that I've made another project, inspired by this moodboard, to be revealed in a couple of days ;-).

Here's my card:
And here are some close-ups on the details:

u really love this color combo! so delicate and feminine. I will give this card to a very close friend of mine, on her coming birthday.
