Natural Beauty - my September Counterfeit Kit

I've missed playing with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I love the concept of this blog - use your own stash to mimic a kit provided by one of the kit clubs the inspiration kit.

For those of you who are not familiar with this blog - I highly recomend that you pop over. Not only there ton of inspiration by the DT's and the Guest Designers, but they also provide you with tips and tricks to make your own items for your kit.

This month the inspiration kit is September 2016 Studio Calico - 'Lost River Kit':

I was inspired by the colors, the natural feeling and some of the patterns, and this is what I came up with - 'Natural Beauty' kit:

It's super easy to make them, and here's a video of how to:

All put together, so it's easy for me to grab what I need while working on a project:

The inspiration kit had also a documenter kit:

I was inspired with the bold colors, in contrast with the soft colors of the main kit, so I've made an 'add on' kit, with some scraps of papers, and more embellies and stamps - 'Natural Beauty add on kit':

I wanted to add some more sequins, but couldn'd find my seaqins bag, so I just might put some more of them once I find them LOL.

I didn't put inks and mists to my kit, as I use them on a regular basis, according to what I'm working on.

Since the Jewish New Year is just around the corner, I've put some stamped labels with blessing for the new year. I'm plannig to make some new year cards.

I really can't wait to start working with my new kit!

Grandma's Love

My 3rd lo with my June Counterfeit Kit. The photo is of my boys with my mom, on my youngest 1st birthday. 

I used  #211 sketch from Creative Scrappers:

All the supplies are from my counterfeit kit. The journaling tag and the washi tape are homemade. I also made most of the banner above the photo, and added a few small stickers banners from my kit. Here are some close-ups on the details:

The photo is of my youngest, and the journaling is about my boy's strengths.

I love the contrast between the boyish style and the doilies (the matting and the envelope).

My Sweet Baby - Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop

תמונות הנוף הן מטיול שעשינו ביום העצמאות לנחל דוד. לא הסתפקנו במסלול הקצר, של נחל דוד התחתון, אלא העזנו ועלינו למסלול של נחל דוד העליון. המאמץ היה שווה ביותר. הנוף שנשקף מלמעלה כל כך יפהפה ומקסים, עם הניגודיות בין צבעי המדבר לצבעי ים המלח, שבמימיו משתקפים הכחול של השמים והאדמדם/סגלגל של הרי אדום ממזרח.

DIY Washi Tape - a tutorial

At Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, we have a new challenge - Washi Tape, so I've made a simple tutorial how to make your won washi tape.

הדרכה פשוטה וקצרה איך להכין וואשי טייפ (סרט דביק מדוגם).

supplies:

masking tape

glimmer mists

distress inks

inks in desired colors

stamps

חומרים:

מסקינג טייפ

גלימר מיסט בצבעים שונים

דיו דיסטרס בצבעים שונים

דיו בצבעים שונים

חותמות

step 1:

adhere stripes of masking tape to a non-stick placement. color your tapes with glimmer mists/distress inks.

מדביקים רצועות מסקינג טייפ על  משטח לא דביק. צובעים את הרצועות בצבעים שונים של גלימר מיסט ודיו דיסטרס.

stpe 2:

stamp your colored tapes.

מחתימים את הרצועות הצבועות בחותמות שונות.

There you've got your own washi tapes!

This smile - lo

Here's my take on #7 challenge at Let's Get Sketchy, with this sketch:

The sketch was my jump point and I've changed it a little (or a lot... LOL), but I think you can still see the original sketch in my lo. All the supplies are from my counterfeit kit - dp are Jillibean Soup; die cut- K&Co.; 'washi tape' - homemade. There are only two things I've added - the blue thread and the punched butterflies (I've used some scraps I had); the alphas are from a local manufacturer.  This is my 7th lo from this kit!

The photo is of my youngest, when he was about 17 months old. At that time (and for very long time) he used to have this smashing smile, his mouth full of big teeth, and he used to wrinkle his nose in such a cute way. He no longer does it, but still he has some cute faces :).

דף מעוצב נוסף מקיט החיקוי שלי (השביעי במספר!), עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים כשהיה כבן 17 חודשים. באותה תקופה, החיוך שלו היה יוצר קמטים בגשר האף שלו, ואני עד היום עוד מתגעגעת לחיוך הזה :). העיצוב של הדף ממש נו"פ, עם שימוש בשאריות של דפים מדוגמים מפרוייקטים קודמים. המסגרת של הדף ושל התמונה היא סרט דביק מדוגם תוצרת בית.
