When I've made my November's Counterfeit Kit, I had a hard time choosing my papers, cause I had so many beautiful that I wanted to include in my kit, and had to decide which will get into the kit and which will remain out.

So when I had the chance to make an add-on page kit, I was so happy. Not that I included ALL the rest of the beautiful papers, but even some of them are enough. I took 2 cs, a few dp and a few leftovers and here's my add-on page kit:

With this page kit I've made my lo, with a photo of my eldest, about a year ago:

כשהכנתי את קיט החיקוי לחודש נובמבר, נתקלתי בקושי גדול בבחירת הדפים. הפעם, מאחר שחיקיתי קולקציה שאני בחרתי והיא לטעמי, התקשיתי לבחור בין שלל הדפים היפים שהוצאתי. היה קשה לברור ביניהם מי נכנס ומי נשאר בחוץ. 

לכן, כאשר התבקשתי להכין קיט נוסף, קיט של דף אחד, שמחתי מאד. ולא שהכנסתי לתוכו את כל הדפים שנותרו בחוץ, אבל גם מקצתם זה טוב. הכנסתי 2 קארדסטוקים וכמה דפים מדוגמים שלמים ועוד כמה שאריות, ביחד עם קישוטים - והנה הקיט מוכן.

עם הקיט הזה הכנתי את הדף שלי, ובו תמונה של הבכור לפני כשנה.  יש פה הרבה קישוטים שהכנתי בעצמי - פרחי הקרושה, הבאנר של הכותרת (האותיות נחתכו בעזרתו האדיבה של הביג שוט), פרח המניפה/אקורדיון. השתמשתי בשני עלי בד זהובים, שהולכים כל כך יפה עם אווירת השלכת של הדף, וכדי להשלים אותם, הוספתי גם פרפר מנצנץ, שהוכן עם נייר דבק ואבקת נצנצים, כך שהדף גם מתאים לאתגר החדש של "יוצאות מהקווים".

Summer Fun

We still have very warm days here, but one can already feel the changes - the days getting short, the evenings are a little colder. But with summer still around, I've made this lo, with a photo of my eldest from the end of our summer vacation, at the beach.

My inspiration was from case file # 35 at CSI:

I don't know what about you, but with this inspiration, I could almost feel the cold lemonade, so I just had to add those lemons pieces, leftover from a Jillibean Soup dp I had on my April Counterfeit Kit. Another leftover I used, also Jillibean Soup dp, was the dotted dp (from my August Counterfeit Kit). 

My 'clues' to solve the case are:

Evidence - shelles, fruit accents, photo corners, flowers.

Testimony - the journaling documents the time we had at the beach, with good old friends; random about that day; photo corner on the jouranling spot.

הימים עדיין חמים מאד,  אך באוויר כבר מורגשים שינויי מזג האוויר - הימים כבר מתקצרים, בערב כבר קריר יותר. אך באווירה של הקיץ שעדיין כאן, הכנתי את הדף הזה, עם תמונה של הבכור, בחוף הים, בסיומה של חופשת הקיץ שלנו.

ההשראה הייתה האתגר ב-CSI, והצבעים  מייד העלו לי אסוציאציה של לימונדה קרה, אז היה מתבקש להוסיף את 'חתיכות' הלימון.
על הקארדסטוק של הבסיס, עבדתי עם מסיכה ודיו דיסטרס, והתחלתי להעמיס את השכבות השונות. הוספתי חיתוכים עם כיתובים ותגית ג'ורנלינג, פינות תמונה, פרחי קרושה סרוגים ופאייטים בצורת קונכיות.
הדף יצא מאד קיצי ועליז, ממש מזמין לקפוץ לים ולנצל את מזג האוויר הטוב ואת הכיף שבחוף הים.

Sun in your heart

 When I saw September challenge at WW1, I knew right away that I have the perfect (for me...) photo to scrap for this challenge. It's my youngest, at the beach, trying to 'capture' the sunset in his hand. This photo just screams "orange & black"... 

This color combo can be very dramatic, and I wanted to soften it, so I worked with a subtle orange, kind of peachy oragne.

I applied gesso with the mask and when it dried, I sprayed it with orange glimmer mist. I love the texture it gives to the page. I used dp from My Mind's Eye and Fancy Pants, velvet trims and lace.  I crocheted the small doilies, and topped them with a button, pearls and a Prima flower. The alphas were in white but to make them stand out, I misted them too with the orange glimmer mist.

The title says, in Hebrew: "Sun in your heart", and it's a line from an Israeli song.

I also added a black star sticker, and a tranparent tag with the date. 

I folded the dp on the right upper corner and tore the cs in 3 places to add some interest to the page. What do you think?

כשראיתי את האתגר של חודש ספטמבר ב-WW1, שדורש שילוב של לבן עם כתום, ושחור, מייד ידעתי באיזו תמונה אשתמש. תמונה של צעיר הבנים, מנסה 'ללכוד' את השמש השוקעת בידו. התמונה הזאת פשוט צועקת "כתום ושחור"!.

שילוב הצבעים הזה הוא מאד לא שגרתי עבורי. אני כמעט ולא משתמשת בכתום כצבע דומיננטי. כשהוא בא ביחד עם שחור, השילוב הזה יכול להיראות מאד דרמטי, ולכן בחרתי לעבוד עם גוון מרוכך של כתום, מעין כתום אפרסקי.

התחלתי עם בחירה של הדפים המדוגמים שיונחו על הקארדסטוק הלבן, ג'סו, גלימר מיסט, דיו דיסטרס ותחרה שחורה. הדפים המדוגמים הם של My Mind's Eye ו-Fancy Pants:

על הקארדסטוק הלבן עבדתי עם ג'סו ומסיכה בדוגמת כוורת דבורים:

בזמן שנתתי לג'סו להתייבש, הכנתי את השכבות של הניירות המדוגמים שיהוו מאטינג לתמונה. הן עברו, כמובן, טיפול של טאץ' אישי (= דיסטרסינג).

אחרי שהג'סו התייבש, התזתי עליו גלימר מיסט בצבע כתום. אגב, באותה הזדמנות של התזות, גם התזתי את הגלימר מיסט על אותיות 'תוצרת הארץ' בצבע לבן, כדי שהכותרת תבלוט.

יצא אפקט יפהפה של כוורת כתומה, במרקם מחוספס:

עכשיו הזמן להעמיס על הקארדסטוק את השכבות, עם הקישוטים - שני בורדרים של  קטיפה שחורה, תוך שימוש גם בפס ששומר על הדבק (פינת החסכן כבר אמרנו?...), מפיות קרושה קטנות שסרגתי בעצמי, ועליהן הנחתי כפתור, פנינים ופרח של פרימה. הוספתי גם סטיקרים של פרחי ספוג מנצנצים בתלת-מימד. עוד סטיקר של כוכב שחור ותגית שקופה עם כיתוב תאריך בשחור (מיחזור של תגית מבגד) - והדף כמעט מוכן.

ההשראה לכותרת באה מהשיר שהתנגן בדיוק ברדיו :)...

משהו היה חסר לי, אז קרעתי את הקארדסטוק הלבן ב-3 מקומות, ונתתי לאחד מהדפים המדוגמים לבצבץ מבין הקרעים. הקרעים והגלגול של הדף המדוגם בפינה הימנית העליונה הוסיפו בעיני עניין לדף. מה אתן חושבות?

Edit: This lo is on the "Watch List" at CSI

 A summer lo I've made, with a photo of my boys that I took just two weeks ago, when we had a lovely afternoon at the beach. We stayed there till sunset, eat our dinner there and came back home in darkness. We do it very often on Summer, it's a wonderful way to spend the hot hours. 

My journlaing is about it - "At the beach, till the end of the day, till sunset; towels and clothses in the bag; food for dinner in the picnik cooler".

For my inspiration I had case file #33 at CSI:

My 'clues' to solve the case were: for the evidence - wood/woodgrain (background dp and buttons), clouds, white background, bircks, transparent element (the white date on the right side of the photo), metal and nautical elemet (the starfish trinket on the doily); for the eviedence - my journaling is in 3 strips.

Another inspiration came from the word inspired challenge blog - Bird is the Word - whith the word "Shadow" for inspiration.

דף חדש שהכנתי, עם תמונה של הבנים שלי בחוף הים, תמונה שצולמה לפני שבועיים בחוף פלמחים בשעת השקיעה. בילוי של אחה"צ בחוף הים, עד סוף היום והשקיעה, הוא בילוי נפלא לשעות החמות של אחה"צ. לוקחים צידנית עם אוכל לארוחת הערב, ונשארים עד השקיעה וחוזרים הביתה בחשיכה.
הדף הוכן עם השראה של 4 אתגרים - לצבעים, אלמנטים, מילת השראה וסקיצה. 
אחד מהאתגרים הוא בבלוג אתגרים ישראלי חדש - סברס סקראפ, והאתגר הפעם היה משהו ימי, עם תוספת של קישוט בהכנה עצמית - שניים מהקישוטים שלי הוכנו על ידי: מפית הקרושה הקטנה והעננים (והנה הדרכה קלילה על איך להכין עננים כאלו).

Same challenges, two layouts

I've made two layouts for the case file #25 at CSI and the sketch challenges at Boys Rule. This time at CSI, the challenge had a litle twist - to scraplift one of the DT's layouts.
Here's the case file:

The 1st layout, Winnie the Pooh's home:

The photo is of my eldest peeking out of a burned tree in Dan Reservation. The tree is called "Winnie the Pooh's tree". The tree is hollow so you can crawl inside and climb a little so your head is peeking out of the tree, something like Winnie the Pooh's home. The journaling tells the stroy of this "Winnie the Pooh's home". It's a hidden journaling, pulled by the 'bird' on the right upper corner of the photo.
For this lo, I was inspired by Annette Gearside's layout. The eveidence I used to 'solve' this case are: the small blue shape as an architectual element, clouds, border punch, the woodgrain dp for the background of the page.
The testimony is a little twist by me - my journaling is about something special about a home, but not my home, rather Winnie the Pooh's home.. LOL

I used the June 22nd sketch from Boys Rule, only I used one large photo instead of two:

The 2nd lo, (your love's put me) At the Top of the World, is with a photo from a magical place in Judea Desert, a place with a stream in the deseret, that falls into the Dead Sea. This is one of my fav places in our country:

Again I used a sketch from Boys Rule:

I kind of scraplift Shaunery Wharton's layout. The clues I used: for the eveidence - border punch and wood elements (some of the alphas, the star). For the testimony - I told, in short, the story of past and present of this magical place.

שני דפים, שונים, לאותו אתגר של שילוב צבעים/אלמנטים והשראה ב-CSI. שניהם גם לאתגרי סקיצות באתר אחד - Boys Rule.
הדף הראשון - בתוך שמורת תל דן נמצא לו עץ שרוף, שתוכו חלול. לתוך החלל שבפנים ניתן לזחול, ובטיפוס קטנטן להוציא את הראש החוצה מתוך הגזע השרוף. כל כך מזכיר את ביתו של פו הדב, וכך אכן קרוי העץ בשמורה. בשמורה הזאת טיילנו פעמים רבות, והתמונה היא של בכורי, מציץ מתוך העץ באחד מטיולים אלו. הילדון כל כך רזה, שאין חשש שיתקע בפתח, כפי שארע לפו הדב בסיפור.

הרבה מהאלמנטים הקישוטיים בדף הזה הוכנו על ידי -  המעטפה שמשמשת מאטינג לתמונה, תגית הג'ורנלינג המסולסלת, פרח הקרושה, העננים והדגלון. הרשת הבהירה מחקה את מראה הסבך שבתמונה.
הדף השני - מטיול שלנו ביום העצמאות האחרון לנחל דוד. לאחר שמיצינו את הברכות והמפל התחתון, העפלנו לראש המפל. הטיפוס היה קשה, שביל למיטיבי לכת. אך היה זה דווקא צעיר הבנים שקיפץ כאיילה שלוחה על ההר, בעוד הבכור ואנכי מתנשפים מאחור. הטיפוס המייגע היה שווה כל שניה. המראה הנשקף מראש ההר הוא אחד המרהיבים ביותר בעיני.
בדף השני השתמשתי בחומרים מקיט החיקוי שלי לחודש יוני, ב-Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

Giggle

It's has been quite hectic lately in my life, between full time job, kids and household - very little time and energy is left for scrapping and even less - for visiting blogs I really love. So I kind of neglected one of my fav blogs - Artful Delight. I don't thing I can really catch up, but at least I managed to make a lo for their lovely sketch:

The photo is of my youngest when he was about 3.5 months old. He sure was a chubby baby :))).  

I kept this lo very close to the sketch and in a clean & simple style (well, after all it's a bath theme.. LOL)

I mixed different companies - cs: American Crafts; dp: October Afternoon, My Mind's Eye, Stamperia; alpha stickers - Basic Grey; stamps: Inkadinkado. I made the tag (from an old cloth tag) and the flower embellishment. I used some glimmer mist and MS lace border punch.

I would like to enter this lo also for the recipe challenge at Scraptastic (I used two colors of cs - white and baby blue; misting; punch a border), the stamping challenge at ScrapFit (I stamped on the tag. btw - Scrapfit are having a 550 followers giveaway - you really don't want to miss it!),  and for the sitckers challenge at Burlap & Buttercups (the BG alphas stickers); tag - simonsays stamp.

הפעם דף נופ (נקי ופשוט), אחרי כמה דפים עתירי שכבות וקישוטים. ערבבתי חומרים מחברות שונות - קארדסטוקים של AMERICAN CRAFTS; דפים מדוגמים של MY MIND'S EYE ו-OCTOBER AFTERNOON; אותיות כותרת - סטיקרים של BASIC GREYץ את התג הכנתי בעצמי (מתגית של בגד) וכך גם את הקישוט של הפרח עם הלבד. מאד מצאה חן בעיני התוצאה של המסגרת עם הבורדר פאנצ', ויתכן שעוד תראו את האלמנט הזה הרבה בזמן הקרוב...

מאד מצא חן בעיני שילוב הצבעים מ-The Color Room, שהוא שילוב לא שגרתי עבורי. השתמשתי בו שוב לדף הזה, עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים כשהיה כבן 3.5 חודשים.
שתי סקיצות די דומות שימשו לי השראה לדף הזה, האחת מ-Frosted Designs והשניה מהקומונה הבית הפתוח לעיצובים בנייר.

דף הרקע הוא של DCWV; הדף המדוגם עם העיגולים הוא מביג דיל; המסגרת המעוטרת היא חותמת דיגיטלית; הפרחים הם של PRIMA (ממסטיקים); את מפיות התחרה סרגתי בעצמי; השתמשתי גם בגלימר מיסט (MY PUNCH) ובסרט תחרה מהאוסף הפרטי; אותיות - תוצרת הארץ (מסטיקים ורחלי גזית)
