case file # 92 at CSI

for their October's sketch

I've made this lo for case file #92 at CSI using October's sketch from C'est Magnifique, and the mood board at Scrap Around The World.

My main inspiration from this mood board was the pastel colors and the shabby chic style of some of the photos. I was also drawn to the lace glasses with the light pink flowers, and to the dotty jug. love the calm and soft atmosphere of this mood board, just like the sunrise time :).
And here's case file #92 at CSI:

A very soft and feminine color palette. When I looked at the prompts ('my full name and how it was decided on'), I new I'll scrap this sunrise photo, because the name my parantes gave me has something to do with sunrise.

The palette just 'screamed' Prima's Delight collection, so I used some products from this collection, along with some other Prima's products.
The clues I used to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors used.
Eveidence - pearls, book pages, something that dangles, charms, lace, distressing, stack elements.
Testimony - I chose one of the prompts and in my jouranling I copied a part from a letter my late Dad wrote to me when I was 16 years old. In this part he explains why he and Mom gave me my name. at that time there was recession and my parents' economic state was very bad. Also my Dad had his 1st heart attack  (which was very severe) and was unable to work. they were very depressed. And that's what he wrote to me (in free translation): "The period before you were born was such, that you almost were born orphan. And then you were born, and by giving you your name we expressed the big hope that has risen in our hearts. Your Dad".
The journling is on a hidden tag, tacked between the layers, with only the butterfly charm on the top showing.

האתגר השבועי ב-CSI, עם פלטת צבעים מאד פסטלית ונשית, פשוט צעק: "Prima Delight" (הדף הזה, וגם זה, והקישוט הזה, וגם הכפתורים הללו- לדוגמא), אז נעניתי לקריאה :)). השתמשתי גם בסט חותמות תיפורים של פרימה, שהוא פשוט מוצלח מאד ומאד שימושי.

הדף הזה החזיר אותי לעיצוב שאבי-שיק, עם הרבה דיסטרסינג וריבוי שכבות, אבל עדיין עם מיקסד מדיה - הרקע נבנה מדפי ספר ישן שנצבעו עם distress stain picket fence וג'סו, ומעליהם עבדתי עם מסיכת עיגולים של סטודיו קאליקו ומשחת עיצוב עם  מרקם חולי והחתמה בחותמת הזו של פרימה. בנוסף עבדתי גם עם מסיכה TCW Ledger ואבקת אמבוסינג לבנה.

בשכבות השתמשתי בניירות המדוגמים של פרימה,הרבה פרחים, גאזה, תחרה מוילון ישן וחיתוכים בביג שוט של דוילי וענפים מסולסלים קטנים.

התמונה צולמה מביתנו, קצת אחרי הזריחה בבוקר של חודש יוני לפני למעלה משנה. המראה של הערפילים שהיו בואדי בין ההרים נתן ניחוח קל של הרים באירופה.

True Friends

This is my take on December's sketch at My Creative Sketches, here's the sketch:

I used mostly products from my January Counterfeit Kit, and added only some white fllowers (I didn't have any flowers in my kit! shame...), glimmer mist, dew drops and pearl pen.

The doilies were cut with Cheery Lynn dies. The paper are mix & match of Ruby rock it and Basic Grey.

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה, עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר. הוספתי פרחים (לא להאמין, אבל לא הכנסתי פרחים לקיט החודש...), dew drops והשתמשתי ב-pearl pen למסגור של הדף והעיגול מהדף המדוגם.

Remember When

This is my take on Kaisercraft #2 December sketch. I mixed two of Kaisercraft's collection - These Days & Prickled Pear. I fell in love with the Prickled Pear collection, and I knew I just had to have it. 

The photo is of my eldest, when he was almost 3 years old, helping me in the kitchen.

My inspiration for this lo was case file # 48 at CSI:

How I 'solved' the case -

Scheme - I used all 5 colors, only this time I used only small touches of white.

Evidence - clock, mosaic, silver metalic element (I worked with several mediums on the small chipboard - distress inks, Perfect Pearl, UTEE and stamping and then again with Perfect Pearl - it gave a metalic look to the chipboard), fruit accents, plain brads and something lacy (the cs and one the die cut under the photo).

Testimony - the jouranling documents how my son loved to do all kitchen works - washing the dishes, baking banana cake, putting everything in place, etc. He was certainly a little helper (well, he still is).

The flourishes and the doily were made with Cheery Lynn dies and my Big Shot, and so is the big clock face (TH alternation).

This lo goes also for the challenge at Frosted Designs, which asked to use 3 different inks/paints/mists - I juse distress ink for the clock chipboard, chalk ink for the mask, and some drops from black Mr. Huey's.

זוכרות שהעליתי רשומות על קולקציות של בנים? אחרי שהעליתי אותן נתקלתי בקולקציה מדהימה של Kaisercraft, שנקראת "Pickled Pear". יש לה צבעים מדהימים של ירקרק לימוני, שחור, לבן, אפור וירקרק בהיר. מה רבה הייתה שמחתי ש Mrs. G הביאה אותה לאיקסמיקס. ולא לקח זמן רב עד שהתחלתי להשתמש בה. בדף הזה הוספתי גם שני דפים מקולקציה אחרת של אותה חברה - These Days, שאמנם הצבעים שלה קצת שונים, אבל הדפים השתלבו יפה.

בדף הזה נעזרתי בידידי הביג שוט ביחד עם תבניות חיתוך חדשות שקניתי גם כן באיקסמיקס - דוילי ועלים מסולסלים. גם השעון הגדול נחתך מצ'יפבורד בעזרת תבנית חיתוך של TH, ונצבע בדיו דיסטרס ואת השוליים 'לכלכתי' עם דיו ירקרק של פרימה.

אבל הדבר שאני הכי גאה בו בדף הזה הוא הצ'יפבורד הקטן, שהינו תוצר של הסדנא המדהימה שהעבירה Mrs. G - הכנת קישוטונים בטכניקות של מיקס מדיה, לשילוב בסקארפ. הצ'יפבורד הזה יצא מדהים, אלא שלמרבה הצער הוא לא מאד פוטוגני. תאמינו לי שבמציאות הוא פשוט יפהפה. הוא הוכן בשילוב של Perfect Pearl, דיו דיסטרס, ו-UTEE, עם החתמה שעליה עברתי עם Perfect Pearl  נוסף. הוספתי גם שתי נקודות קטנות של Pearl Pen. את כל המוצרים הללו אפשר למצוא בחנות איקס מיקס.
עם הדוילי, הסטיקר של התחרה  ודף הרקע שבו רצועות תחרה אפורה - הדף מתאים גם לאתגר התחרה של 'יוצאות מהקווים'.
