Measuring Hieghts - Stuck?! Feb 15th reveal

Feb 15th sketch is up at Stuck?! with a wonderful sketch by Laura:

I used my Feb Counterfeit Kit for this lo, to create a joyful and cheerful page. While we were visitng the Ausralian Park, the boys decided to measure the kangaroo's height, and I titled the layout 'Measuring heights'. It was so lovely to see how gentle they were and how freindly the kangaroo was.

בבלוג של !?Stuck  יש סקיצה חדשה, שכיף לעבוד איתה. השתמשתי בקיט החיקוי שלי לחודש פברואר, והוספתי התזות של מיסטים וקצת distress stain, להוספת עניין וצבע. התמונה היא מביקור שלנו בגן גורו, הבנים החליטו למדוד את הגובה של הקנגרו...

A {mase} ing - Stuck?! Dec. 15th reveal

Another fab sketch by Laura is up at Stuck?!:

The photo is of my youngest, trying to find his way in a big maze at the Australian Zoo.

For my page I used Simple Stories products, from Smarty Pants collection. I painted some gesso on the background paper and used a red ink with TCW stars mask.

עם הסקיצה החדשה שעולה היום ב-Stuck?! התפרעתי לגמרי (יחסית...). השתמשתי בדפים וקישוטים של Simple Stories מקולקציה שנקראת Smarty Pants. יש לקולקציה הזאת צבעים חזקים מאד. אתן יכולות לראות באיקס מיקס את הפד של 15X15 של הקולקציה הזאת.

על הדף הכהה (אגב, במציאות הוא כחול כהה ולא שחור כמו שנראה בתמונה) מרחתי ג'סו בכיוונים שונים, אח"כ עבדתי עם דיו אדום על מסיכה של כוכבים. הוספתי דפי 6X8, בראדים וסטיקרים מאותה קולקציה, וואשי טייפ וחיתוך של עץ מתבנית בה התחדשתי לאחרונה.

יצא דף עליז וצבעוני, בדיוק כמו התמונה של צעיר הבנים שמחפש את דרכו באחד מהמבוכים שיש בגן גורו (מי שטרם ביקרה במקום - מומלץ ביותר!).

תודה שקפצתן לבקר. תודה לכל אלו שטרחו והשאירו תגובות לפוסטים הקודמים, זה בהחלט מחמם את הלב כשאתן משאירות איזה סימן שביקרתן כאן.

ובאווירה של חמימות - מאחלת לכל מי שעדיין סובל מנזקי מזג האוויר (אנחנו עדיין נצורים בבית...), שזה יחלוף במהרה ונחזור לשגרה.

A new lo I've made with September sketch challenge at My Mind's Eye, and case file #91 at CSI.

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - all colors used (the khaki green doesn't show well in the photos, with a very bright sunny day when I took the photos, but that's the color of the leaves under the big flower, and of the flat flower under the small coral flower).
Evidence - leaves, wet medium (modeling paste, distress stains), stripes, border punch, tearing.
Testimony -IW - Enjoy. in my jouranling I documented one of our family traditions of enjoying a soft icecream in a certain place where we go on almost every trip we take to the north. This icecream is loved by all of us (which is not that obvious, since my eldest doesn't like icecream at all...). It's a family tradition since my childhood, and we still keep it :).
Both the big flower and the smaller one are handmade, and I used two distress stain to get the right color, to match the pink/red coral hue of the MME dp and the one that's in the challenge.
I did some mix&match of MME products from different collections: Miss Caroline, Lost&Found 2, Indie Chic, Lost&Found 3, Find Your Wings and Fly (okay, I admit - I'm a big hoarder). I also used Prima mask with modeling paste, MS lace border punch and AC Thickers.

דף שהכנתי לאתגר משולב ב-CSI וסקיצה חודשית של My Mind's Eye. השתמשתי במוצרים מקולקציות שונות של MME (חלקם כבר די ישנים, אבל עדיין מאד אהובים עלי). עם משחת עיצוב ומסכה של פרימה יצרתי קצת מסגרת מתחת לכל השכבות. חלק מהקישוטים הם גזירה עדינה של אלמנטים מדפים של MME. הפרחים, גם הגדול וגם הקטן, הם הפעם מתוצרת עצמית. הגעתי לגוון שלהם ע"י ערבוב של שני גוונים של distress stain.

תזכורת קטנה - מחר אני אעלה דף שהכנתי כחלק מצוות העיצוב ב-Sketchabilities, ואתן מוזמנות לחזור ולבקר מחר ולראות את הדף שהכנתי.

Ready, Set, Go!

This week's case file at CSI had bold colors, with a whimsical image for inspiration. 

Here's case file #90:

I used Sept 15th sketch from Stuck?!:

The photos are of my youngest, getting ready to eat chocolate from a giant syringe at The Chocolate Bar, where we went for his birthday.

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - I used all 5 colors. by playing with the stamping and re-stamping the polka dots with distress ink (spiced marmalade), I managed to reach the two colors of orange. kind of ombre effect. I like it.

Eveidence - tie something, polka dots, kind of white space (at first I thought of a more 'white space' design, but finally I used 2 photos, so with the matting, it took more space on my page), 2 different alphabets, triangles, something transparent (vellum as photo matting and dew drops).

Testimony - I wrote my journaling on the hidden tag on a diary form, and tosd the story of going to the Chocolate Bar for my son's birthday, how excited he was about it, what he ordered and 5 fun facts about his endless love for chocolate.

דף שהכנתי לאתגר המשולב ב-CSI, והשתמשתי בסקיצה מ-Stuck?!. התמונות הן מהביקור הראשון (אך בהחלט לא האחרון...) שלנו בשוקולד בר של מקס ברנר בנמל ת"א, לכבוד יום ההולדת של צעיר הבנים לפני כשנה וחצי. הוא כל כך התרגש ושמח, והזמין לעצמו כמויות של מתוקים, כשגולת הכותרת הייתה מזרק שוקולד ענקי (את ההתנסות השניה שלו עם מזרק השוקולד (המשעשעת ביותר), תעדתי גם במיני אלבום על חופשת הקיץ של 2012 וגם בדף אחר).

case file #86 at CSI!

This week's case file at CSI is very feminine (or at least that is how I felt about it), so it was a perfect opportunity for me to use papers and embllishments with pink :))). I used a photo of my own feet, that was taken about a year ago, on our summer vacation 
All patterned papers, chipboards, brad and stickers are My Mind's Eye, and I mixed and matched different collections.
To go along with the theme of my page, I decided to tear the papers, and to add splatters of white paint here and there.

My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all 5 colors, however the yellow and orange are in small amount.
Evidence - scallops, paint, stripes.
Testimony - the journaling, handwritten on the hidden tag,  is about feeling free whenever I  travel to Eilat, the southern place in Israe. It's a sunny place almost all year round, a tourist city

דף שהכנתי לאתגר ההשראה ב-CSI, בשילוב עם אתגר סקיצה, חומרים, 3 בריבוע ולאתגר של יוצאות מהקווים, כשהפעם בחרתי ברשימה של עינת, ומתוכה לקחתי: פסטל, רכות וגיוון. עם כל כך הרבה דפים של בנים שאני מכינה, מידי פעם כיף לגוון עם דף נשי, על עצמי. גם קריעת הדפים היא לא שגרתית אצלי, והנה גיוון כפול ומכופל לדף אחד.
