Hello crafty friends!

Capture the Moment

One of the TOP 3 at Challenge YOUrself

Case file no. 328 at CSI has a wonderful beach/ lake side theme:
It was just perfect for our sailing photo, taken last year at Lake Como in Italy.
I used all 5 colors and from the evidence I took: stripes, grid pattern, beach elements, camera, circular elements, anchor and fringe.
I followed Laura Whitaker's sketch for Sketches In Thyme no. 431:
I'm an old fan of Laura's sketches!
Another challenge this layout goes for, is the August challenge at Challenge YOUrself - I'm on vacation:

I was also inspired by the marine inspiration photo at Creative Embellishments:
I was inspired by the blue and green colors of the water and used scalloped pattern under my photo.
The background was made in smooching technique, using Lindy's sprays: Tibetan Poppy Teal and Aloha Avocado.
I used some CE products - camera chipboard (heat embossed with Lindy's Orange Creamsicle ep),
fishnet background stamp and the chipboard title (heat embossed with Lindy's Spring Leaf Chartreuse ep and Guten Tag Teal ep, and then colored here and there with Lindy's Tibetan Poppy Teal shimmer spray).
To make the steering wheel and the anchor I die cut eace shape several times from a watercolor paper and glued together, so I got kind of chipboards.
The steering wheel was covered with pp with life buoy pattern (the same as I coverd the half circles).
The anchor was painted with Finnabair's Rich Copper Metallique Wax. I glued Finnabair's mini art stones, and colored the anchor again with Lindy's Tibetan Poppy Teal spray. After it was dried, I wraped it with a wax cord. I really love the aged look it got!
Some Robbin's Nest transparent drops added to the water drops look.

Vacation - CSI case file no. 324

It's already July! and it's the 1st, so a new case file (challenge) is up at CSI:

This time we have a yummy case file, filled with beautiful colors of yellow, pink and pale blue.
I used my June mini counterfeit kit for this layout, with a self made yarn rainbow I made, following Rachel Lowe's tutorial, which you can find HERE.
From the clues, I used: woodgrain pattern and wood embellishment, pattern with multicolored small pattern against solid (the tiny hearts pp), gesso, flowers, metal, enamel dots, sprinkle something, stamps and using the same font in different colos.
For my testimony, I was inspired by the IW 'Dance' and wrote my journaling on a painted spot.
Here're some close ups on the details:

It's all perspective - CSI case file no. 318

Winner at Splashy Mix challenge
May 2020

First Fav at Challenge YOUrself

It's a new month and that means a new files (challenges) at CSI.
The first one is Case file no. 318:
I went the traditional way: All 5 colors of the scheme are here. These colors are so fantastic together!
For the eviedence I used: wood background, polaroid frame, cameras and a clock.
My journaling, written  directly on the background, is of some of my thoughts this pereiod - how it is all perspective that makes one capble of going through crisis and harsh period in life, and how time changes our perspective.

I followed Laura Whitaker's April sketch for My creative Scrapbooking. I just love Laura's sketches!

It also goes for the current challenge at Challenge YOUrself, which asked of a b/w photo:

And for the new mixed media challenge at Splashy mix challenge 17:
I was inspired by the orange and yeallow colors.

Here're some close-ups on the details:

Lots of Prima Marketing flowers!

Find your balance - CSI case file no. 316

A 2nd layout for the Corona days... it's my DT layout for CSI case file no. 316, only I'm a little late for the reveal... here's the inspiration photo with the 'clues':
I used all 5 colors in th scheme. From the clues I used chevrons, tirangles, clouds, flowers, leaves, branches, butterflies, gold (gold embossing over a stencil in the background), stamps, scallops and 'rain drops' for the weather-realated element.
My jouranling is about our new 'everyday', the new routine, how I need to find my balance everyday from the begining, in a state of social distance. A very challenging period.

The colors went so well with the April challenge at Lindy's blog, teal, purple and pink:
Lindy's products that I used-
Starburst sprays: Azure Sea Asters, Hi Maintenance Magenta, Sweet Violet Purple Teal.
Shaker - Time Travel Teal.

I loved how you can play around with one product and get different shades of the color, only by adding water. So purple and pink were both from the purple shimmers - from the bold to the mute shades.

This layout was also inspired by April challenge at More Than Words - Everyday plus Bugs/birds:
We have a new 'everyday' now, not like we used to have. At this chaotic and challenging period, every day I need to find my balance from the begining, remember to breathe, relax. I often do this when I walk with my dog in the early mornings.

Here're some close-ups on the details:

I wish you all good health.

If you can dream it - you can do it (art journal)

Honourable Mention
November 2019

This is a new page in my art journal notebook, for two challenges.
The 1st - More Than Words challenge - success plus a key:
When I look back, I realize that the most successful things in my life were things I dreamt about, and then made them happen. So for me 'if you can dream it, you can do it' is the key to success. I also adhered a small key next to the message, to make it stand as my say.
The 2nd challenge is the color challenge from Lindy's Gang blog, with this beautiful color palette:
Here're some close-ups on the details:

Lindy's products I've used:
Moon Shadow Mist: Buccaneer Bronze.
Flat Magical: Caribbean Cruise set (Luscious Lime)
Shakers: Gutten Tag Teal.

Other products:
Prima Finnabair art basics: gesso clear, gesso white, soft matte gel.
Prima Finnabair extravgance: patina effect paste blue.
Prima Finnabair Art Daily stamps: Dream without fear set.
Stampers Anonymous TH stamps: mini motivation set.
