Show some sparkle! - GD for 2nd challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge

This is my 2nd project as a GD at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge blog, and this time the challenge is to show us some sparkle, glizt or glam!

Graphic 45 is our sponsor this month. They are known for their fabulous vintage    products and papers. To pay homage to their glamour and style, create a project         that shows off your hoarded sparkly items. Show some glitz! Pump up the glam!           Use the photo collection below for extra inspiration. You need not match the colors or style of the photos, just use them as inspiration - notice the glass, gems, pearls, metal, glitter! Being a GD at CHAC, made me make projects I usally don't make, and that is awesome! I worked on my tag with several mediums, and for the sparkly part, I used glimmer mists, glitter and bling.

 The new sketch at PageMaps was a great starting point for me to create this lo, with a photo of my boys a few years ago. Here's the sketch:

I've used the color palatte from July's PPP at Prima. I used lots of Prima's goodies: flowers, vines, mistables, stamps, a brad, a wood envelope, chipboard, say it in crystals and alpha stickers. Other than the Prima's products, I also used AC & Bazzill cs, gesso, mists,embossing ink&powder, a doily, distress ink and cheesecloth.

I love this photo of my kids, they look so happy, simply celebrating life. So I would like to enter it also for the word inspiration challenge at BITW, and since the photo was taken on the outside, I enter it also for 'The great outdoors' challenge at Frosted Designs.

דף חדש שהכנתי לכמה אתגרים - סקיצה של PageMaps, שילוב צבעים של Prima, השראה ממילה של BITW ונושא של פעילות מחוץ לבית ב-Frosted Designs.

ברקע, שרק מבצבץ, יש עבודה עם ג'סו, השפרצות, חותמות ואמבוסינג. הרבה פרחים של פרימה, ענפים, קישוטי עץ, צ'יפבורדים, חותמות וקנבס רזיסט.

This is my take on sketch #82 from Sketchabilities:

The photos are of my boys with me, taken about a year ago.  It was a cold but sunny day on December and we took a trip not far way from our home. The winter theme was inspired by the look I had from my window a few days ago (photo at the end of this post), but I used a warm palette. I love the contrast.

The colors of this lo are based on the inpriation photo from an Israeli challenge blog "Out of the lines":

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה ב-Sketchabilities, עם השראת תמונה וצבעים מהאתגר של "יוצאות מהקווים". תמונת ההשראה הייתה של טוסקנה, וזה ישר מעורר אסוציאציות של קיץ חמים, עם קרני שמש מלטפות. אז בהפוך על הפוך הכנתי דף עם תמונות של הילדודס איתי בטיול שטיילנו בחרבת בית עיתאב בדצמבר לפני שנה. באותו יום מזג האוויר היה קר למדי, אך בשלב כלשהו של הטיול השמש יצאה וזרחה במלוא הדרה. האוויר היה נקי וצלול, ומראש החורבה נשקף נוף יפהפה של שפלת יהודה.
 זה לא ממש מפתיע שהלכתי על תמונות חורפיות, בהתחשב במזג האוויר ששרר פה בימים האחרונים, ובמראה שנשקף מחלון ביתנו בבוקרו של יום חמישי האחרון:

הדף הזה הוא למעשה מיחזור/עשיה מחדש של דף שהכנתי בעבר, ובדיעבד לא כל כך אהבתי. אולי הפעם הוא ימצא חן בעיני יותר :).

My take on the sketch from My Creative Sketches, with a photo of my youngest, when he was about 1 year old. It was his older brother's birthday party, and he fell a sleep. So precious, so perfect.

I used dp from different manufacturers - Bo Bunny, Glitz, DCWV, October Afternoon and Prima; Mr. Huey's color mist, Prima say it in crystals; MS punches; WP story tellers alphas. The felt flowers and the shaped matting were made with the Big Shot; lace and flowers are from my stash.

באחד מימי ההולדת של הבכור, בשלב כלשהו צעיר הבנים, שהיה  כבן שנה, תפס תנומה. העברנו אותו מיד ליד, ובאופן מפתיע זה בכלל לא הפריע לו והוא המשיך בתנומתו. המתיקות והשלווה המושלמות שהונצחו בתמונה, הצדיקו דף.

הסקיצה שהתפרסמה ב-My Creative Sketches התאימה לי לעיצוב התמונה הזאת. השתמשתי בשאריות דפים מדוגמים של חברות רבות, כשאת חלקם פינצ'צ'תי. פרחי הלבד והמאטינג של התמונה נעשו בעזרת הביג שוט. השפרצה של Mr. Huey's לבן השלימה את המראה האוורירי והחלומי של הדף.

Spread your wings & SOAR

This is my take on August sketch contest at My Creative Sketches, with this beautiful sketch:

What I really loved about this sketch is that it can be interpreted in so many ways. You can make is CAS or multi layers, you can see so many interpretations by the DT over there, so much inspirtion. 

I decided to work with My Mind's Eye dp, most of them from Indie Chic collections, and used many scraps to make a multi-layers layout. I also did a lot of fussy cutting from another MME dp, and used some MME stamps and stickers. The bling is Prima, the baker's twine is Q&Co, the white cs is AC, and the alphas are Fancy Pants and Basic Grey.

The photo is of my yongest, during our last summer vacation, actually on our last day of that vacation:). He just loves to pose for the camera :).

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה. הסקיצה מאד מצאה חן בעיני, בעיקר בגלל הורסטיליות שלה - אפשר לפרש אותה בדרכים רבות מאד, החל מנו"פ וכלה ברב-שכבתי. אני בחרתי (כמובן) באופציה הרב-שכבתית וכל הדפים המדוגמים הם של My Mind's Eye. השתמשתי בהרבה שאריות מפרוייקטים קודמים (כולם, אגב, מקיט החיקוי של החודשים האחרונים). מאחד הדפים המדוגמים חתכתי בעדינות הרבה פרחים, והוספתי גם כמה סטיקרים של MME, והחתמות מחותמות גם כן של MME.

אגב קיט החיקוי, היום העליתי גם את הדף הראשון שהכנתי מהקיט של חודש ספטמבר, ומחר אעלה דף נוסף, לאתגר הראשון לחודש הזה. אתן מוזמנות לקפוץ גם מחר....

שמחתי מאד לראות בחודשים הקודמים שהייתה התעניינות וגם קצת היענות להשתתף בפרוייקט של קיט החיקוי. אמרתי כבר בעבר, ואומר שוב - זו דרך נפלאה גם להשתמש בחומרים שכבר יש לנו, ולעיתים גם ל'נקות אבק' מחומרים שנשכחו, ובנוסף אם רוצים, יש המון הדרכות לחיקוי של חלק מהקישוטים בעצמנו, עם המון יצירתיות. מלאי הקישוטונים שלי עלה פלאים מאז התחלתי להשתתף בבלוג הזה.

עוד דבר שמאד משמח אותי לראות שיש יוצרות ישראליות שהכירו באמצעותי אתרי אתגרים נפלאים והן משתתפות בהם. כן ירבו!

Mom & Son - a lo

Me and my eldest, more than 7  years ago.  All dp on this lo are Jillibean Soup, and I mixed collections (Pasta Fagioli, Southern Chicken Dumpling and Neopolitan Bean Bisque). Most of the supplies are from my May Counterfeit kit (8th layout from this kit), and I added some scraps from my April Counterfeit kit.

דף שמיני שהכנתי מקיט החיקוי של חודש מאי ב-Counterfeit Kit. תמונה של בכורי ושלי לפני למעלה מ-7 שנים. הייתי אז בשלהי ההריון של צעיר הבנים. רוב החומרים מהקיט של חודש מאי, והוספתי כמה שאריות מהקיט של חודש אפריל (כך זה כשמכינים קיטים ענקיים ועשירים בחומרים... הכנתי המון עבודות ועדיין נשארו מספיק שאריות לדפים נוספים). כל הדפים המדוגמים הם של Jillibean Soup. הם יצאו לאחרונה עם כמה קולקציות מקסימות, עם צבעים עליזים ועשירים, ובדף הזה ערבבתי בין כמה קולקציות.

Home (is where we are together) - a lo

This is my take on the challenge at Once Upon  ...Sketch, with the theme "Home" with this beautiful sketch by Nadia Cannizzo:

I chose one of my boys' photo from one of our (many) travels, and I chose this photo because of the errows to different directions. The subtitle is a message from me to my kids, considering that we left our hometown almost 4 years ago, and left all our family and friends behind. We all miss our hometown very much. The hidden journaling (on the other side of the tag) is about it, with my questions whether it was the right thing to do. But still - home, the real home, is where we are together.

My inspiration for the colors is #106 The color Room:

All materials on this lo are from my counterfeit kit. I did a lot of fussy cutting with the flowers and bird. the lacy flower was made from the lace ribbon, the same one that I used under the doily. I sanded the photo, and I love the way it looks. The tag is one of my homemade tags that I've made for my counterfeit kit.

דף מעוצב נוסף מקיט החיקוי שלי, והוא נעשה לפי אתגר סקיצה ונושא ("בית"), ביחד עם אתגר של שילוב צבעים. התמונה הזאת היא של הבנים שלי, לפני 5 שנים בטיול בגשר התלוי בנשר. התמונה נבחרה בגלל הסימונים לכיוונים שונים שעל העמוד בתמונה, שכן הכיתוב החבוי (בצד השני של התגית) מדבר על מעבר המגורים שלנו, עם התהיות שלי האם זה היה מהלך נכון. ועדיין מה שחשוב הוא שהבית, הבית האמיתי, הוא היכן שאנחנו נמצאים ביחד.

התגית היא מעשה ידי, אחת מכמה תגיות שהכנתי לקיט החיקוי של חודש אפריל. שייפתי את התמונה עם נייר לטש דק, האפקט מאד מוצלח בעיני. עשיתי הרבה חיתוכים עדינים על הפרחים והציפור מתוך דף של DCWV, שהוא מאד עמוס ועד כה לא מצאתי לו שימוש מרוב שהוא עמוס...

Another lo I've made with my counterfeit kit, a very springy one. It's me, 9 years ago,  carring my eldest on my back on a spring travel we had with good friends. We walked down the river and reached this wonderful waterfall. 

I used #203 sketch from Creative Scrappers:

All dp and journaling label are Jillibean Soup and I added a green cs (DCWV), bling (Zva), brads (Stamperia), velvet alphas (local manufacturer), mini alphas (MLS), a doily and pearls (my hoarded stash). I also used MS lace border punch and butterfly punch. The rolled flowers were made acoording to Wintam's tutorial.

דף נוסף שהכנתי עם קיט החיקוי שלי (counterfeit kit), עם אווירה אביבית. התמונה היא מלפני 9 שנים, אני סוחבת במנשא גב את הבכור, בטיול עם חברים במפלי פרוד. כל הדפים המדוגמים, וגם התווית עם התאריך הם של Jillibean Soup, הוספתי דף ירוק של DCWV, בלינג, דוילי, בראדים ופנינים. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ' של מסטיקים ורחלי גזית,  ואת הפרחים המקופלים הכנתי לפי ההדרכה הנפלאה של WINTAM.

אני מפתיעה מאד את עצמי בשימוש בקיט החיקוי, כי היה לי די קשה להתחבר לקיט ההשראה. לא הייתי משוכנעת עד כמה אשתמש בקיט שבניתי לעצמי, כי הצבעים והסגנון של הדפים די שונים מ'אזור הנוחות' שלי.  אני ממש שמחה לראות שאני מצליחה להכין דפים שונים מהסגנון הרגיל שלי, ואפילו לאהוב את התוצאות (שלא לדבר על התחושה הכיפית של להשתמש בחומרים הקיימים ולפנות מקום).
