Follow Your Dreams - Maja Design and Lindy's Stamp Gang

Hello crafty friends,

Today I want to share with you a wintery layout I've made for several challenges. I've also made a video tutorial, so make sure you scroll all the way down.
Here are some close-ups:

The inspiration moodboard at Lindy's this month, has two options - one is a traditional Christmas colors, and the other is the combination of blue with either silver or gold.
Blue with gold is very royal, while blue with silver is very wintery. I went on the wintery option, with a photo of my youngest a few years ago, playing in the snow.
Lindy's Gang products that I've used:
embossing powders: cosmic blue violet, desert moon turqouise.

I was also inspired by the moodboard at Maja Design:
Blue, cream, brown is one of my all time fav color combo. I've used papers from the Denim & Friends collection, along with Vintage Romance 6x6 paper pad and Vintage Autumn 6x6 paper pad.
The chipboard frame is Scrapiniec. I would like to enter this lo also for the following challenges:
Mixed Media & Art, with this magical snowy/wintery moodboard:
I was inspired by the snow theme and the colors of white, blue, brown and gray/silver.
Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo, which gave the theme of 'splashes'.
Well, there're lots of splashes on my layout :).
Anything mixed media - Creative Artiste. And the last, but not the least, Creative Embellishments with this wintery moodboard:
I was inspired by the blue color and the snowflakes. The twist was to use a border, so I tore the dark dp diagonally and made a border :).

As promised, here's my tutorial of 'how to' for this layout:
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comments very much.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

#Hogwarts Express - a layout

A new I've made for some challenges:

I've used Aug 1st sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:
Isn't it just a fab sketch? I just love Laura's sketches. they have so many possibilities and the DT over there are full of tallent and inspiration.

I also playes with Case file no. 236 at CSI:
My clues were:
Scheme - I've used all 5 colors.
Evidence - stripes, polka dots, gold, banners, wet medium (gesso, Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst), scallops, twine.
Testimony - I documented an adventure, a tour me and my son took to the Harry Potter's studios near London.
My journaling says: "We landed at Heathrow Airport and we rushed to the hotel, only to throw our baggages there and make it to the last tour to Harry Potter's studios. And we made it to the Hogwarts Express. We had so much fun there."

The last challenge I'm entering my lo is Aug moodboard at Creative Embellishments:
I was inspired by the bold teal/turquoise in the photo. The challenge also requiered to use a hashtag, and I didn't have one, so I've made my own LOL!
I also used CE chippies on this lo (the letters of the title and the photostrip).
Here's a short video of close-ups:

I've also made a video about my creative process making this lo, with some triks and tips:

Retirment greetings album (front cover) - Words from the heart - mixed media style

My boss is retiring and I'm working on a greetings album from all of our department.
It's a great challenge for me to create a masculine project, and I hope he would love it. The title says: Words from the heart.
Here're some close ups:

Lots of mixed media here - TCWmasks, TH masks, gesso, lindy's stamp gang mists, glitter, embossing powders, microbeads, chipboards, metalic elements, distress stain, etc.
I'm entering it to the challenge at Mixed Media Place, with this beautiful moodboard:
I really love the gold with blue combination of the beach photo and the teal road with the rustic colors of the woods.
Thank you for stopping by.

Siblings

This is my take on the August sketch challenge at Berry71bleu, with this beautiful sketch, designed by Sandra:
I used my August counterfeit kit and did a lot of mixed media techniques on the background and the clock die-cut chipboard - gesso, mists, distress inks and distress stains, embossing powders, rub-ons, stamping in different hues of black/gray, TCW stencils with ink and modeling paste. love how my background turned out. I also used a StudioFourteen40 flair.
I would like to enter it also for the stamping challenge at Frosted Designs.

Gadgets

This is my take on August challenge at Scrap The Boys, which asked to profile our boys. I used a photo of my oldest, playing with his smartphone, else what?....LOL
Like many other boys at his age, he just loves all tech things - pc, smartphones, tablets, any gadgets, and the title says, in Hebrew - Gadgets.
Going along with the masculine tech theme, I made a mixed media background, with lots of mists (13@arts Ayeeda chalk blue light and chalk turquoise, Lindy's Stamp Gang moon shadow mist treasure iland aqua, Ranger's Perfect Pearls mist copper), and Tim Holtz distress stain antiqued bronze. I worked with TCW stencils (stacked triangles and quatrefoil reversed),  and with several dies (Sizzix TH weathered clock and gadget gears; Memory Box tessatina border). I also used some fab gears chipboards from Creative Embellishments.

Life is beautiful with you

A lo I've made, not as a DT assignment, but for a few challenges:
color palette - Color Me Scrappy #62:
I love these earthly tones!
inspiration - May challenge at Orange Paperie&Co.:
My inspiration was the circles on the 1st inpiration photo and the earthly tones plus the word 'Beautiful' from the the 2nd inspiration photo.
I used some StudioFourteen40's goodies - a flair (Je T'aime set 2) and a vellum dot (Everyday dot set 2).

Hatched from the egg - Scrap Africa May 1st reveal

Hi everyone! this is my 1st lo as a DT member at Scrap Africa, with a sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch, drawn by our talented Denise van Deventer:
I must admit, the sketch was very challenging for me, as I rarely work with circles. Then I remembered these photos of my kids, playing with eggshells, at the Undersea Observatory at Eilat, and I new that thery're just perfect for this sketch.
You should head over to Scrap Africa blog, so see what beautiful creations my sister DT made. So much talent over there!
The boys were so funny, popping their heads out of the shells, hence the title in Hebrew - 'Just hatched from the egg'.
I used my April Counterfeit kit for this lo, and added StudioFourteen's flair (Thrift Shop set 8), and some Creative Embellishments' chipboards. The patterned papers are Pink Paislee (mostly Portfolio collection, and some Vintage Vouge scraps).
I would like to enter this lo to the  Jo's challenge at Orange Paperie & Co., which asked for circles and flourishes.
