This is my take on case file #112 at CSI. I loved the subtle and beautiful palette, and my photo, taken at Lugano lake on 1995, was a perfect match with it's colors.

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - all colors are here.

Evidence- patterned background, something sheer, something puffy, wood, frames, flowers, buttons, floral pattern.

Testimony - I've made a vellum pocket, and my journaling is in the envelope, inside the pocket. I wrote about that awesome vacation I've had and how the tranquility of the vies calmed me and made me reach some important desicions concerning my life at that time: "Over there, in front of the beautiful tranquil vies of Lugano lake, I could feel serenity, take a good insight of my life. There, at that tranquility, I've reached important descisions, thae led me, half a year later, to leave my hometown, my job, a bad realationship I've had, and to move forward to something better for me. Lugano, August 1995."
I finally used my so hoarded Fancy Pants products - mainly Park Bench collection (pp, stickers, alphas, die-cuts, a paper bag and an envelope). I used Petaloo flowers and flowers I've made with Die Namics dies. The frame was also made with Die-Namics dies. I also used Studio Calico heart wood veneers, American Crafts cs & brads, EK flower bling. The doilies and the floral swirls were cut with Cheery Lynn dies, and I colored the swirls with Hiedi Swap color shine & Lindy's Stamp Gang Sturbust mists, I love the shimmery look of it. Buttons and pearls, and a builder tape, are from my stash.

Summer Vacation - a lo for #80 case file at CSI

At CSI, case file #80 was a soft summery one. I took one of the photos that was taken way back on  summer 1994, when I was on vacation at Alania, Turkey. The title says: "Summer Vacation".

Here's the case file:

The clues I used to solve this case were:

Scheme - all 5 colors.

Sketch - by Em Stafrace.

Evidence - flowers, triangles, buttons (flair buttons), lace (both ribbon and cs, cut with my Big Shot), floral pp.

Testimony - the hidden journaling, in the envelope says: "Not without some fears, I finally went to a summer vacation aborad all by myself. I went to Alania, Turkey, with a group of people I never met before. It was a bliss! The place was simply gorgeous. We went to the seaside, took jet ski, drove to the a village on the mountains, went to the old city and walked to the fortress on the hill. What can I say? it was so easy to take this vacation :))), and it gave me the courage to take tours on my own afterwards."

דף שהכנתי לאתגר המשולב ב-CSI של השראה, סקיצה וצבעים. הפעם פלטת הצבעים הייתה מאד עדינה ונשית. לקחתי אחת מהתמונות שצולמו במהלך חופשה שלי באלניה, תורכיה, לפני כמעט 20 שנה. זו הייתה הפעם הראשונה שהעזתי לצאת לחופשה בחו"ל לבד, עם קבוצה של אנשים שלא הכרתי קודם לכן. הייתה חופשה מושבחת ביותר :)).
השתמשתי בביג שוט לחיתוך מפיות התחרה ובאותיות של יעל יניב. יכולתי גם להשתמש, סוף סוף, בכל מיני חומרים ורודים ונשיים ששוכבים להם מיותמים בקופסאות.

You Are So Loved

This is my take on December's sketch at My Mind's Eye blog:

The photo is of my youngest, when he was 6 months old, and my hidden journaling documents 8 facts about him at that age.

I was inspired by case file #50 at CSI (I really liked this palette, and this is my 2nd lo with this palette):

My 'clues' to solve the case were:

Evidence: ribbon, fabric, stripes, metal; Testimony: a ribbon on my hiddend journaling tag and the journaling documents 8 facts about my boy when he was at that age.

Almost everything here is MME, and I mixed a few collections:

dp - The Sweetest Thing/Bluebell/Bright; Indie Chic/Nutmeg/Boy.

stickers - Lost&Found 3 Oliver.

brads - Indie Chic/Nutmeg; Lost&Found 3/Oliver.

stamps - Indie Chic/Nutmeg/Hanging Out.

Other: burlap, Mr. Huey's color mist (classic tan), TH Ranger distress ink (brushed corduroy & faded jeans), AC brads, MR kraft envelope, Signo Uniball black pen.

I used 12 brads (11 you can see, and onother one is on the journaling tag, inside the envelope), so it also goes for the challenge at Frosted Designs.

פלטת הצבעים ב-CSI כל כך מצאה חן בעיני, שהכנתי ממנה דף נוסף. הפעם עם תמונה של הבכור, כשהיה בן 6 חודשים. רוב המוצרים בהם השתמשתי בדף הזה הם של My Mind's Eye - דפים מדוגמים, בראדים, חותמות וסטיקרים. הוספתי עוד כמה בראדים של American Crafts, בד יוטה, גאזה, ומעטפה של Maya Road. קצת התזות של Mr. Huey's ויישון עם שני צבעים שונים של דיו דיסטרס. הפעם נתתי מנוחה למכשיר ההשחתה של אינגבילד (מפתיע, נכון?) וההשחתה נעשתה ע"י קריעה. גם הביג שוט נותר מיותם זו הפעם.

The Sweet Moments of Life - a lo

My last lo from May Counterfeit Kit, done for the #5 sketch at Scrap Africa:

The background dp is lilybee Design, and the other dp is Jillibeen Soup. The envelope behind the photo, which holds a hidden journaling is homemade and so are the journaling spots, the tag behind the chipboard title and the the fabric where I stamped the sentiment.

The photo is of my boys, 6 years ago, when we finally came back home after Lebanon war II ended. We where refugees from our home because of the bombing and it was not that easy nor pleasant experience. So one can truely appreciate the simple moments of rutine, of the kids having fun at bath time, without worring about hearing an alarm and rushing to the shelter. That is what I wrote in the hidden journaling.

A while back, I've made a mini album about our experience at that time of war, and I named it "Life is Beautiful".

הדף האחרון שהכנתי עם קיט החיקוי של חודש מאי. יש פה הרבה קישוטים שהכנתי בעצמי - המעטפה עם הכיתוב הנסתר, תגית בד עם החתמה ותגיות הכיתוב מקראפט.

התמונה היא של הילדודס משתעשעים באמבטיה משותפת לפני קרוב ל-6 שנים. התמונה צולמה לאחר שהסתיימה מלחמת לבנון השניה, כשסוף סוף חזרנו לבית שלנו, לאחר תקופה בה היינו פליטים ונדדנו הרחק מאימת הפצצות. 

מי שחווה על בשרו את  הנדודים של פליט, את החרדה הקיומית האם יש עוד לאן לחזור - יכול להעריך את הרגעים הקטנים של חזרה לשגרה, של אמבטיה משותפת לילדים מבלי להיות בחרדה מפני אזעקה שתשמע ותריץ אותנו למקלט. על כך כתבתי בכיתוב הנסתר. על החוויות שלנו מאותה מלחמה, הכנתי לפני זמן מה מיני אלבום, שקראתי לו "החיים יפים".

The photo is of my youngest, and the journaling is about my boy's strengths.

I love the contrast between the boyish style and the doilies (the matting and the envelope).

דף מעוצב שלישי עם קיט החיקוי של חודש מאי. אני ממש אוהבת את סרטי התיפורים הללו, הם מוסיפים לכל עבודה טאצ' נפלא. הרבה מהקישוטים בדף הזה הם תוצרת בית - המעטפה עם גימור התחרה, ה'וואשי טייפ' שעליו הכיתוב, דקלוני הקראפט והג'ורנלינג ספוט בקראפט. מצא חן בעיני הניגוד בין הצבעים הכהים וה"גבריים" למפית התחרה והכפתורים הוינטאג'יים.

Envelope mini album/notebook - my scrapping notes

To go along with the NSBD, I've made a mini album (or a mini notebook), from kraft envelopes.

Here's what the envelope looked like in the begining:

I made pockets for different 'folders'  - sketches (cards and lo), inspiration, shopping etc.

I wanted it to be very practical, so you can take it in your handbag and it won't disturb or damamged, so I kept it very simple, with no embellishments, only using some stamps.

I also stiffened the front an back cover by adhering a piece from a cereal box to the envelope, and only then the dp.

מיני אלבום או מחברת קטנה שהכנתי ממעטפות קראפט רגילות. מאחר שרציתי שהמחברת הזאת תהיה פרקטית, כך שאפשר לקחת אותה בקלות בתיק והיא לא תכביד או תהרס, לא הוספתי קישוטים, למעט חותמות.

בכל דף יש שני 'כיסים', ורשמתי בכל אחד את הנושא (סקיצות, שילובי צבעים, השראה וכו').

הכנתי את האלבום הזה לפי ההדרכה הזאת.

Owl-ways Be Happy - a birthday card

A birthday card for a 6y old boy. I've made it pretty quickly, so it's a kind of a CAS card (I've had the owl pre-made a while ago, wanted to put it on one of my lo, but didn't use it then).

The image is from Digital Delights, a prize I've won a while ago.

כרטיס שהכנתי יחסית די מהר ליום הולדת של ילד בן 6. ההכנה היתה די מהירה כי החותמת עם הפייפרפיסינג כבר היתה מוכנה לי (רציתי לשלב אותה באחד מדפי האלבום שהכנתי לאחרונה, אבל היא לא התאימה לי ובסופו של דבר לא השתמשתי בה).

Huggable - lo and a very happy mail :)

This lo is for the challenge over Artastic, which asked to be inspired by this painting of Frida Kahlo:

The added criteria were: a photo of me or family member with pet, shades of brown & orange, a single tropical flower.

I used this sketch from Scrap and Stamp:

And the stamps I used are the paws (rubber stamp), and the little puppy (digi stamp), which I did with paper piecing.

I got all these gorgeous things from my blogy great friend, Tesa!!! Here is her post about it (she hid the card and present box in her mom&dad's anniversary's post.. very clever...LOL). What she didn't post is about the most beautiful necklace she gave me!!! It's that silver flower you can see on the photo above. How on earth did she know that I'm a 'silver kind of gal'????

Let me tell you that all those goodies are even more beautiful IRL!

I'm so thrilled!!!! Thank you so much, girl friend. You've certainly made me very very happy! And as you can see, I already used the signo white pen.... LOL (but I thing I'll just hoard the rest of the goodies...)

דף שהכנתי לאתגר של השראה  מציור - Artastic (תמונה של הציור - למעלה). היה צריך להשתמש בתמונה עם חיית מחמד, צבעי כתום וחום ולהוסיף פרח אקזוטי.

לפסים שמתחת התמונה לקחתי דפים מדוגמים וגלגלתי אותם. ראיתי את זה בכמה וכמה בלוגים לאחרונה, והרעיון מאד מצא חן בעיני.

גם המעטפות הטרנדיות  מוצאות חן בעיני, והכנתי לי מלאי שלהן, בעיצובים שונים. זה כל כך פשוט להכין אותן - שלושה קיפולים, עיצוב הסגירה, יישון עם דיו והוספת קישוטים (סיכות מתפצלות, תחרה, כפתורים וכיוצ"ב).

לחותמת הדיגיטלית של הכלב עשיתי פייפרפיסינג והוספתי גם חותמת גומי של טביעות כף רגל של כלב...

התמונה הנוספת היא של מתנה מדהימה שקיבלתי מהחברה הבלוגית שלי, Tesa, ששלחה לי את הכרטיס המדהים הזה, עם קופסת מתנה מטופלת יפהפיה ובתוכה סרטי תחרה מקסימים. וגולת הכותרת - שרשרת כסופה עם פרח. מדהים!
