Summer 2010 - lo קיץ 2010

With hot summer already here, the color challenge at Design Dollies was just on time - orange, yellow, aqua blue and white - for my youngest's photos from last summer.

I used the sketch from ScrapWithV:

The 'waves' were made from cereal box, that I painted with acrylic paint and added Diamond Glaze on it. If you wish to know how I've made them, here's the tutorial I've made. Here are some close ups:

The cs is Bazzill, the dp is My Mind's Eye, the title (which says in Hebrew: "Summer 2010") was made with stencil and Fancy Pants' dp, some ric rac ribbon, ric rac cs painted with orange acrylic paint, chipboard and buttons.

דף חדש, באווירת ובצבעי הקיץ. התמונות הן של צעיר הבנים מהקיץ שעבר, גם בחוף הים וגם בבריכה.

קישוט הגלים הוא שוב צ'יפבורד תוצרת בית (בקרוב ההדרכה...).  האותיות גזורות עפ"י שבלונה של אותיות 'קסם שימושי' מנייר מדוגם של Fancy Pants. הדף המדוגם הוא My Mind's Eye והקארדסטוק הוא Bazzill.
שמתן לב שלאחרונה התאהבתי בקונספט של דפים לבנים? אז מחר אעלה עוד אחד לבן, לכבוד חג שבועות. למעלה יש הצצה קטנה אליו. הוא בהחלט שונה מדף הקיץ הזה...

עוד יום עבודה אחד (שגם הוא יהיה רק חלקי, מאחר שהילדים עדיין בחופש), ושוב סופ"ש!!!!

Caressings and smiles - lo for Sketches In Thyme

It's Team B's turn again at Sketches In Thyme, and this my take on this week's sketch. The photo is of my youngest, about 4 years ago, caressing a rabbit, smiling and having lots of fun.

I turned it to the opposite side, but otherwise kept it as it is.

I useds some chipboards, pleated ribbon and some buttons. I also painted a frame around the dp.

דף מעוצב שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה ב- Sketche In Thyme. התמונות הן של בני הצעיר, מלטף ארנבת בפינת הליטוף באגם חי ביראון, לפני קצת יותר מ-4 שנים.

סובבתי את הסקיצה, כך שתתאים לתמונות שלי, ומעבר לכך נשארתי די צמודה לסקיצה. השתמשתי בצבע אקרילי לצבוע מסגרת לדפים המדוגמים, וכמה צ'יפבורדים, סרטים וכפתורים. האותיות הן של "תוצרת הארץ".

תודה על תשומת הלב, וחג משפחה שמח מחר!

Some peace - lo איזו מן שלווה

This photo of mine was taken years ago, on August 1995, on a Bre' mountain nearby Lake Lugano. It is one of the most peaceful places I've been to. On that journey I visited Lugano twice: On my way from Italy to Swiss, and then once again when I crossed the Alps back to Italy to return home. I just had to stop there once again and come back to that particular spot on Mount Bre'. Looking at these photos, and I think you can perfectly understand me. The title of this lo says in Hebrew: Peaceful.

When I look at my crafty works lately, I might say I'm in my 'blue period'... To my lately regular color combo, blue, brown/kraft and cream/white/ivory, I added this time some greenish shades. I think the color combo of all of them turned awesome.

The lo was based on the sketch over sketches in thyme. I just love the sketches Kim brings every week, and they have a very tallented bunch of ladies for DT's. Here is the sketch:

I stamped over the dp with two of my fav stamps, and they just match the swirled pattern on the dp.

I just love this ribbon flower! So easy to make, so wonderful effect. The tutorial how to make it is here. And what do you think about that charm and key? I love love love them. I also liked the look of that zipper, with all the branches flourishing out of it.

I used chipboards (the brown flower and the brackets of the journaling), brads (the glittered green one on top of the Prima aqua flower, and with the key on the left bottom corner), a key diecut, a green button with metal embellishment on it and a metal corner (left upper corner). The small butterflies are also metalic.

התמונות הללו צולמו לפני 15 שנים, על פסגת Monte Bre, מעל אגם לוגאנו בשוויץ. אחד המקומות היפים ביותר ומעוררי השלווה שראיתי. הייתי שם במהלך טיול שכלל חלקים מאיטליה ושוויץ. כל כך התלהבתי מהמקום, אז חזרתי אליו שוב כשחציתי בחזרה את האלפים בחזרה לאיטליה.

השתמשתי שוב בפרח שעשוי מסרטים, פרח מצ'יפבורד עם כפתור ופרחי פרימה עם סיכה מתפצלת ששדרגתי אותה עם אבקת נצנצים. קישוטים נוספים שהשתמשתי בהם - סרטי תחרה, תליון נשי עם מראה עתיק, מפתח מתכת ומפתח של חיתוכי וינטאג', פינת מתכת, הרבה פרפרים, ריצ'רץ' וסרטי עלים ירוקים.

לשילוב הצבעים שאהוב עלי מאד לאחרונה, הוספתי גם גווני ירוק. התוצאה שהתקבלה מצאה חן בעיני מאד, והשתלבה מאד יפה עם הצבעים של התמונות.

I've won for this lo at paper niche on their chipboard challenge! Thank you so much paper niche!

Here is my take on Tesa's challenge:

Theme - everyday life. Bath (almost) everyday... LOL The photo was taken 5 years ago, and this is my eldest, when he was 3 years old, before his brother was born.

Sketch - I took #67 the scrappiest

Colors - monochromatic, you can use one neutral, and NO CARDSTOCK (that was the scarry part... LOL). At first I wanted to do blue, but after I saw Tesa's take on her own challenge, I changed my mind....So mine is green with a little touch of white/cream.

Technique - layers, layers, layers.

Supply/tools - use ribbon, lace. use your scissors in a creative way.

It was a tough one to make a totally monochromatic lo, and that part of no cardstock only dp - well, that was quite a challenge.... I did poor work about using creatively my scissors. I just used my shaped scissors to cut the edges of one of the dp and the vellum one.

But what I really really love is the crochet flowers.... Yep! this is my new obsession, so you'll see more of them very often... Look at them! Aren't they just gorgeous? and they have layers, and layers... LOL I also love those heart shaped buttons.

On the corners I stamped with one of my swirls stamps (clear dollar stamps). I used some green clips to attach the photo to the green cs matting (ooppps, just a little cs, I didn't cheat!). I doodled a frame with zig green pen.

For the title I used pre-cut letters from Practical magic, and I added some diamond glaze on them, and also on the musical note chipboard. The title is a line from a children's song and it says: "and when I'm clean - I'm sweetie". I also used a round chipboard to write the date the photo was taken (Feb 2005), and a small heart chipboard.
The lace is also green with white embroidery.
There is a lot of transparency on this lo - the green vellum, the lace, the green organza ribbon and the diamond glaze, and it goes for the challenge over practical scrappers.

 את הדף הזה הכנתי לאתגר שהציבה לי Tesa, שהיה אתגר נגדי לאתגר שאני נתתי לה. האתגר כלל את המרכיבים הבאים:
נושא - חיי יום יום.
סקיצה - לפי בחירתי.
צבעים - מונוכרומטי, אפשרי צבע נייטרלי אחד. אבל אסור קארדסטוק! השילוב הקטלני הזה של צבע אחד ובלי קארדסטוק, ז"א רק נייר מדוגם, היה לי בהחלט מאתגר. בחרתי בצבע ירוק, אם כי בהתחלה רציתי לעבוד על כחול, אבל הדף ש-Tesa הכינה היה בכחול, אז העדפתי לבחור צבע אחר.
טכניקה - שכבות, שכבות, שכבות.
חומרים/כלים - להשתמש בסרט ובתחרה, ולהשתמש באופן יצירתי במספריים. את האחרון די חיפפתי...  ופשוט גזרתי עם מספרי צורות את השוליים של אחד הניירות המדוגמים ושל נייר הוולום הירוק.

האובססיה החדשה שלי היא פרחים סרוגים בקרושה, אז בעתיד הקרוב תראו הרבה מהם :).
השתמשתי בדף הזה בחותמות, בדודלינג למסגרת, אותיות של קסם שימושי (וכשנגמרו לי חלק מהאותיות, השתמשתי במסגרת שלהן), אותן מרחתי בדיאמונד גלייז, אטבים משרדיים צבעוניים, צ'יפבורדים, תחרה, סרט אורגנזה וכפתורים.

מאד נהניתי לעשות את הדף הזה. הרגשתי שהוא איתגר אותי וגרם לי קצת "לצאת מהקופסא".
אני מקווה שגם בעיניכן הדף מוצא חן. :)

My treasure - lo האוצר שלי

This photo was taken 4 days after my eldest was born, on the day we went home from the hospital (he was born on an emergency cs). He picked up this photo for me to scrapbook it. He is really my treasure, and that is the title for this lo.

I followed the challenge on Scrapbook & Cards Today, and I took this sketch to work with:

On Colourlovers I chose this palette, becaouse it looked the best with the photo's colors.

I searched through my stash: cs is DCWV, pp are Miss Elizabeth, threads and lace ribbon from my stash.

Did you see these beautiful flowers? I've made them out of fabric I cut from an old shirt I was about to throw. I added stickles for a wet look and adhered red flower rhinestones from my stash. It is based on the great tutorial about fabric flowers, and I find that it is a great use to all those cloth you even can't giveaway to charity. The buttons on this lo is also from that shirt.

The chipboards are WeR Memory Keepers, and the title was made out of used cereal box, the letters were painted with acrilic paint and topped with diamond glaze. The journaling - Sakura metalic jel pen. I hand stitched around with two different colors to match the lo's colors.

התמונה הזאת צולמה 4 ימים לאחר שבני בכורי נולד. היא צולמה ביום בו יצאנו מבית היולדות (הוא נולד בניתוח קיסרי חירום), והוא זה שבחר אותה כדי שאכין את הדף המעוצב. לידתו שינתה את חיי לחלוטין והוא אכן האוצר שלי, ממש כמו שאומרת הכותרת לדף.

את הדף הכנתי בהתאם לאתגר באתר הזה: Scrapbook & cards Today ולמעלה  יש את התמונה של הסקיצה שלפיה בחרתי לעבוד. האתגר שם מפנה לאתר של התאמת צבעים - Colourlovers, ושם חיפשתי עד שמצאתי את פלטת הצבעים שמופיעה למעלה. היא הכי התאימה לי לצבעים שיש בתמונה עצמה.

פירטתי את החומרים שבהם השתמשתי למעלה, באנגלית, אז לא אחזור הרבה, רק רציתי לספר שמצאתי את ההדרכה הזאת להכנת פרחים מבד, ואני מאד ממליצה להתרשם ולהכין גם כן. זה לוקח גג 10 דקות, מגזירת העיגולים ועד לפרח מושלם. לצורך כך השתמשתי בבד מחולצה ישנה שהייתי אמורה לזרוק אותה. גם הכפתורים מאותה חולצה. זו דרך נהדרת להשמיש מחדש את מה שנגזר דינו ללכת  לפח (למי אין בגדים שאפילו תרומה לצדקה אי אפשר לתת אותם?....).

התפירה  מסביב נעשתה בשני צבעים של חוטים. יש בתפירה מלא פאשלות שלא יכולתי כבר לתקן, אז השארתי (ושוב תודה לפיית המרציפן, גם על הרעיון של הוספת תכי רקמה וגם, הרבה, על העידוד ללכת עם הפאשלות ולהשאיר אותן....).

בתכנון - כפולה לדף הזה, עם גוונים דומים ועם תמונות נוספות מבית היולדות.... זאת ממש עבודה מעוררת זכרונות ורגשות. :)
