I {heart} you with a tag - cas card

A cas card, with color combo that was a little challenging for me, but I really like how it turned out.

I had this journaling card for ages, from a 12x12 journaling page, in pink-purple colors. These colors are far away from my comfort zone.

As soon as I saw the challene at Inspire. Create challenge blog, with a not so usual color combo, I new this journaling card is perfect for the challenge!

The sentiment on the card says in Hebrew: "I {heart} you".

I die cut a stitched scalloped tag from a textured yellow cardstock. I trimmed the journaling card to fit and adhered it on the tag. I added some punched flowers in matching colors, and added glitter enamel dots in the center of the flowers.

I matted with pale blue cardstock and adhered to the basis.

To the moon and back - a CAS card

Honorable Mention

Sometimes all you need to make a quick card is a good sketch, a wonderful theme and beautiful pp...

It's an 'all occasion' card, and can be used for a birthday, an anniversary, a valantine's day, or 'just because' one.

Get Well, We Love you - a cas pink card

I made this card using only solid cardstocks, in pink tones and white.

It's a 'Get Well' card, and the sentiment, a sticker, says, in Hebrew: 'Speedy Recovery, We love you!'.

I really like the bandais I've created, using embossing folder and punches.

It goes for the following challenges:

Speedy Recovery card - CTD meets FMS

A card I made for two challenges:

Color Throwdown #717 - pink, mustard and green:

At first, this color combination was quite a challenge for me, but then I went for a flowery theme, and it came very easily. In the photo, the 3 small flowers looks a little orange, but IRL thery're much more yellowish than in the photo.

Freshly Made Sektches #560 - a lovely sketch. The circle can be replaced by any shape:

I added the thin strip of mustrad plaid between the two rectangles, as I felt that on my card, the gap really needed it.

The sentiment is a sticker, and it says, in Hebrew: "Always keep your smile, Speedy recovery".

Only Solid Cardstock - Thankful

A CAS card, using scraps of solid cardstock, the same colors I used my previous card.

I simply adhered thin stripes of solid cardstocks to a white one, I cut a piece and then run the 'new paper' throw my Big Shot with a piercing die.

From the pierced one, I die cut the feathers and the flower frame. From the other piece I just cut two stipes, and matted them with white cardstock.

I punched a burst flower, adhered it to the center of the flower frame, and added two tiny cardstock dots.

The sentiment was die cut twice from a golden cardstock, and I embellished with 3 tiny cardstock dots.

I really love the outcome, and the fact that a CAS card can also be very colorful and even vibrant.

Only Solid Cardstock card - CTD meets FMS

Today I continiue with the 'Only Solid Cardstock' trend, and here's my CAS card.

I used Freshly Made Sketch #557 by Judy:

Only I rotated it to the side, instead of a landscape wide strip, I made it a vertical one. For the element on the main strip, the 'square', I used flowers and leaves. I also added a thin golden strip on each side of the main strip.

For the colors, I followed the beautiful color combo from The Color Throwdown #714, chosen by Amy, who asked to use navy blue, mustrad and brown:

The flowers were made with dies and punches, in the challenge color combo.

My card basis is not white, but light gray. I think it's better with these colors. What do you think?

I didn't add a sentiment, as I still need to decide for what occasion I will give it, so I left it to be added later.

This card also goes for the inspiration challenge at The Card Concept #181, with this beautiful Autumn inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the dramatic scene and colors to make my clean and layered card.

Which brings me to the last, but not least, challenge - Addicted to CAS #231,  where Nancy asked for layers:

Another Disney colors birthday card

Here's another Disney colors CAS card (you can see the previous one HERE).

This time I punched baloons from  solid cardstocks in aqua, red and yellow colors, following the challenge at The Color Throwdown:

I tied a black/ silver  twine to the balloons.

I added a sicker sentiment and some small stars sentiment, then matted the panel with aqua cs, and adhere it to the black basis.

I would  like to  submit  this card to the following challenges :

A CAS birthday card for a teenager

My son needed a birthday card for one of his friends. He specifically said it MUST be simple, no flowers or anything even remotly feminine!

Well, luckily there are web challenges to help a mom meet the criteria ...LOL

Since I was working on a card (HERE) for the current challenge at The Color Throwdown, I continued with the same colors, this time with more bold hues.

CAS Colours & Sketches have a very CAS sketch - it's all about the sentiment:

The Male Room's challenge is 'for a teenager':

I die cut the 'Happy' from yellow and grey cardstocks, and adhered them with a slight shaddow. I then die cut the birthday, actually two dies - background in blueish pp, and the word in green cs.

No embellishments, right?! I punched small stars from the paper I used before, and my card is done.

And my son? He said: "It's okay"...., and off he went to the birthday party...

Thanks in neutrals - a CAS card

A winner at Just Add Ink

Happy Saturday to all!

The Color Throwdown #CTD661 came up with a neutral colors, and it's quite challenging:

I used Just Add Ink #573 sketch for my card:

I used solid cs in colors of kraft, cream and black, and a dotted gray dp. I add a bit of darker tone of cream to the die cut leaves, a gray dot to the black flower's center, and a black thread to the tag with the sentiment.

I think I got the colors for this challenge, didn't I?
