This is my take on May challenge at White With 1, which is to use only white with gold:
Making a monochromatic layout is very challenging but eventually I was surprised how many shades of gold I used :).
The photo is of an alley in the Jewish Quarter Jerusalem, and it was taken on Hanukkah, when jewish people lit hanukkah lamps and put them outside their homes. It was a magical tour through the Jewish Quarter, with all the candles light, Jerusalem of gold and light.
I pulled out many embellies in gold that where so very neglected - stickers, golden fabric leaves, and rhinestones. I also used some long forgotten DCWV golden foil papers.
I also used altered chipboards - one I've made myself with a Sizzix die (and here's a tutorial on how I altered it), and the other is from Creative Embellishments, which I painted with gold acrylic paint. I also used some StudioFourteen40 gold sequins and a flair (Ledger set 2), and Creative Embellishments' photo corner chipboard.
So my layout is actually a mix of old and new, just like Jerusalem itself :).
