Yesterday was the Jewish New Year's eve, and now we're on our holiday. I've made this New Year card to go along with a gift. There are a few more cards I've made, I hope I'll get to show them to  you in a couple of days.

לכבוד השנה החדשה הכנתי כרטיס אלגנטי, עם טכניקה שאני לאחרונה מאד אוהבת להשתמש בה. השתמשתי בשאריות שנותרו על השולחן מפרוייקטים קודמים, וכך יצא שהכרטיס הוא בגוונים סתוויים, של שילוב בין תכלת/טורקיז לכתום וקרם.

את הכרטיס הזה אני מעלה לכמה אתגרים, וביניהם גם לאתגר כרטיסי ברכה לשנה החדשה שעלה באתר של סברסקראפ. גם בפורום עיצוב אלבומים וכרטיסים עלה אתגר כרטיסים לשנה החדשה, וגם לשם אני מעלה את הכרטיס הזה.

Gift card holder

I've made this gift card holder for a friend. It looks like a card, but it's actually an envelope. Here's the back side:

An Altered box and a card

I've made this altered box and card for good friends for the Jewish New Year.

I took this chocolate box I got from hotel we were staing at on one of our vacations (so good I kept it...LOL), this is how it looked in the begining:

I covered it with DCWV printed cs, added a lovely flower button and a tag, and that's it. And the final look (filled again with yummy chocolate :)..):

I would like to enter this altered box to the 'trinket box' challenge at LESSology.

I'm also entering this card to the 2nd day challenge at  Artful Delight, which is tic-tac-toe. I went on the diagonal row: make a card, include at least one button (I used 4 - the flower buttons)  and use a border punch.

I'm also entering this card to #4 challenge at Scraptastic, which is an easy peasy one - make a card :).

קופסת שוקולד שקיבלנו במלון בו התאכסנו באחת מחופשותינו, קיבלה שדרוג חגיגי ואלגנטי לכבוד השנה החדשה, כדי למסור אותה לחברים טובים (מלאה, כמובן, מחדש בשוקולדים...). את הקופסא המקורית ציפיתי בנייר מדוגם של DCWV, הוספתי תגית וכפתור פרח והקופסא מוכנה. צרפתי לקופסא כרטיס תואם.

Sweet masculine card

A happy birthday card for a co-worker. I used the sketch from Frosted Designs (It's their 1st card sketch challenge, and Debbie made this fab sketch):

CAS-ual Friadays asked for a CAS card, with a twist - use at least 3 shades of a monochromatic color plus brown. I have 4 shades of blue on this card (scalloped circle, circle, scalloped border & alphas) and there's a lot  of brown on the icecream.

Another challenge I'm entering this card is day 207 at 365Cards - Pam asked for a sweet treat masculine card. I think blue plus brown are ultimate masculine, and icecream is definitely boys' fav, don't you think so?

Dp and the ice-cream image are from 'Summer Seeds' kit.

Your fav animal - A card for Simply Create

Friday again and it's time for a new challenge at Simply Create. This time the theme is "Your Fav Animal".

Mine is definitely dogs! I had two dogs about 10 years ago, at the same time. They were my 'babies' till I gave birth to my eldest. Who knows, I might have a dog again, someday... I'm sure my boys would love it.

I used the beautiful sketch from CardPatterns:

I had some scraps of October Afternoon dp from two layouts I've done recently, so I just cut out the dog and the doghouse from another OA dp, added a ribbon, and there it is.

You have two weeks to complete your 'Fav Animal' creation and upload it to Simply Create. We all looking forward seeing your beautiful creations!

כרטיס שהכנתי כחלק מצוות מעצבות ב-Simply Create, לאתגר דו-שבועי חדש, שכותרתו - 'החיה האהובה עליך'.

כלבים הם החיה האהובה עלי ביותר. עד לפני כ-10 שנים גידלתי שניים מהם, בעת ובעונה אחת, והם היו התינוקות שלי, עד שבכורי נולד. ומי יודע? אולי ביום מן הימים ישוב לשכון כלב בביתנו.... הילדים בטוח יאהבו זאת.

השתמשתי בשאריות נייר מדוגם של October Afternoon שנותרו משני דפים שעבדתי עליהם לאחרונה. חתכתי את הכלב והמלונה מדף נוסף של OA, בורדר פאנצ' וסרט, מאטינג וחותמת - והכרטיס מוכן.

A card for a new baby

Here's a card I've made for a new baby. I also made a scrappy gift, but you'll have to wait till Thursday to see it, with my post for the new challenge at Simply Create.

I really liked this sketch!

And I've made it from the leftovers of the gift project.

I did some faux stitching and used faux baker's twine.

The card is also for the twine challenge at gingersnap.

Elegant kraft card for Simply Create

Tomorrow our new challenge at Simply Create (former Simple Doodles) will start, and this time it's "PUNCH IT!". Easy peasy one.

This is the card I've made for the challenge. I used MS doily lace border punch on two different kraft cs and two  cream cs. The accordion  flower was done also with a punch - a corner punch. The flourish stamp is 7Gypsies.

I'm entering this card also for the following challenges: day 318 at 365 cards; cute card thursday; the kraft journal;

ההצצה הקטנה היא לדף מעוצב חדש שהכנתי ואעלה אותו מחר. תוכלו לנחש מה הנושא של הדף?....

The Flower In My Garden lo & a Thank You card

Well, it's Friday again!!!  We have a new challenge at Frosted Designs, which is to use a quote in your creation. Easy one, right?

Here's the lo I made for this challenge, using DCWV cs (Cafe' Mediterrnean stuck I just got)and October Afternoon's dp (Fly a Kite paperpad):

I used the Dec 1st sketch from Stuck?!:

The spring theme was chosen for my take on my own challenge to my bloggy friend, Tesa. I challenged her to make a summer theme layout, with bright colors. I guess "spring" is cheerful too, right?
I love those flowers that I've made from the same dp I used on the lo. I also used the same dp for the punched butterflies (MS punch) and for the long leaves behind. The measuring tape is from Ikea, attached with staples, and sprayed with glimmer mist and inked with distress ink. I'm not sure where the chipboard with the quote is from, and the thin green ribbon is from a prize I won at Paper Niche awhile ago. I also used some butterflies rub-ons, rhinestones and blings and I handstitched the frame.

The photo is of my eldest, a few years ago, at Carmel mountain, and the title says: :"The Flower in my garden".

here are some close-ups on the blooms and butterflies:

The flower on the bottom was made out of little tiny scraps of all dp's I used on this lo. I simply took all those little tiny pieces and adhered them on a white cs, so I got a "new" dp, and then I cut the circles for the flower. That is what one may call 'being frugal... I love how it turned out. Here's a close up on that flower:

At Simply Create (the new name of former Simple Doodles)  we have also a new challenge, and an easy one too - embossing.

So on my card I just combined them both... LOL

את הדף הזה הכנתי לאתגר של "ציטטה" ב- Frosted Designs. בדיוק קיבלתי את הסטאק היפהפה של Cafe' Mediterranean של DCWV, ומשם לקחתי את הקארדסטוק שכל כך התאים בצבעים שלו לתמונה ולדפים המדוגמים של October Afternoon מ"מסטיקים", משם גם האותיות של הכותרת, "תוצרת הארץ", שנצבעו קלות בצבע אדמדם, להבליט אותן מעל הנייר. אני מאד אוהבת את הורסטיליות של האותיות הללו! בניירות המדוגמים השתמשתי גם לפאנצ' הפרפרים, וגם ליצירת הפרחים. הפרח התחתון נוצר משאריות קטנטנות של הדפים המדוגמים, שהודבקו על קארדסטוק לבן, כך שנוצר לי 'דף מדוגם חדש'. סרט המידה מאיקאה והסרט הדק הירוק שמעליו הוא מפרס שזכיתי בו לאחרונה. הוספתי גם כמה ראב-אונים של פרפרים ותפירה ביד של המסגרת לדף.

התמונה היא של הבכור, לפני כמעט 5 שנים, בחי בר בכרמל. המקום כבר לא נראה כך, למרבה הצער.

הכרטיס שהכנתי הוא כרטיס תודה, ונעשה לאתגר של אמבוסינג שמתחיל היום ב- Simply Create (החלפת שם לבלוג של Simple Doodles). החותמת היא של נותנת החסות לאתגר ב- Frosted Designs, והכיתוב הוא חותמת דיגיטלית מ-raindropecho.

היום מסתיימת שנת 2010, שהיתה עבורי שנה קשה למדי. שנה של התמודדות עם קשיים לא פשוטים שנוגעים לבן הצעיר שלי, עם תאונת עבודה בה נפגעתי בגב, ועם אסון השריפה בכרמל. אני מקווה ומאחלת, לי ולכולם, ששנת 2011 תהא מוצלחת בהרבה.

תודה על תשומת הלב ושיהיה סופ"ש חמים ונעים, עם הגשם שסוף סוף מגיע קצת לפה.

I got some homework to do... and a happy mail

A few days ago, my eldest came home smiling and said: "Mom, the teacher gave homework for the parents!". He was so happy about it (I wasn't...LOL). The teacher asked the parents to make a lovely and special wish for our kid. Well, here what I came up with:

She sent this card to show her sympathy on that sad times of the huge fire that took the lives of 44 brave people here. Angela, thank you so much, you're such a kind and warm lady!

לפני כמה ימים הגדול חזר צוהל ושמח מבית הספר: "אמא, המורה נתנה שיעורים להורים!". אני הייתי פחות שמחה, אבל כשהתברר שמה שצריך לעשות זה להכין ברכה מיוחדת לפרי בטני, דווקא שמחתי. זה הכרטיס שהכנתי לו ובתוכו רשמתי לו את ברכתי.

שני הכרטיסים הנוספים הם כרטיסים שקיבלתי משתי חברות מהבלוגלנד. בעידן הוירטואלי והדיגיטלי, מאד כיף לקבל בדואר כרטיסים, ועוד כאלו מושקעים!

מחר אעלה בבלוג דף מעוצב וכרטיס, שהוכנו לאתגרים בשני בלוגים בהם אני חלק מצוות המעצבות. נתתי פה הצצות קלות,  ואני אשמח אם תחזרו מחר לראות את העבודות במלואן.

A card for Super Sketchy Sunday at 365 cards

I loved the sketch Pam gave at 365 cards:

I wasn't really a rebel, turning the sketch 180 degrees, so it'll fit my bird image.  I wantd to use some of my brown/green vintage look scraps, and I kept the card with no lace or glitter etc., so I can use it for a male.
All dp are K&Co., for the bird I used 7 Gypsies stamp on 7 Gypsies dp.

I'm entering this card also for the following challenges - gingerloft; aly's sunday; the crafty pad;  I did it creations;  osaat; ces; papertake weekly; for fun; crafty ann; opus gluei;

כרטיס לפי אתגר סקיצה ב- 365cards. רציתי לנצל כמה שאריות מדפים מדוגמים של K&Co., הכל בגוונים חומים וירוקים. על שארית דף של 7Gypsies החתמתי ציפור (החותמת גם כן של 7Gypsies). דיסטרסינג על שולי הדפים - גירוד של שולי הדפים ושימוש בדיו דיסטרס בשני צבעים, דודלינג כמסגרת לדף ולדפים המדוגמים, תפירה ביד ופנינה קטנה עבור העין של הציפור.

וההצצה היא לדף חדש שהכנתי עבור Sketches In Thyme, לאתגר שיעלה מחר.  עוד דף בסדרת הדפים על הטיול שלנו בפארק תמנע. בשבוע הבא אעלה דף נוסף על אותו טיול, כנראה האחרון בסדרה.

Using scraps and a sneak peek

 I won Spotlight Designer for this card at 365 Cards!

I really liked the challenge Pam gave on day 293 at 365 cards - feeling scrappy - use 7 scraps of papers on your card. It reminded me of some projects I've made in the past, using lots of dp scraps (cause I don't throw them away.. I keep all my scraps in a special box, and then I use them for various projects).
At first, I thouht to bend the rules.. LOL, and  link to my previous projects, which are not cards at all (another cheating? nop! Pam stated the rules and she said it's okay to be inspired for other projects, not only cards).

On this mini album, when I finished covering all the pages with dp, I tore the scraps and then adhered them on a white cs, so I got a "new" dp, all made of scraps. Then I made this flower out of that scraps paper:

The second one is a lo, where the circle dp under the photo is actually a scraps page, done exactly the same way I did on the mini album:

But as you can see, finally I did make a NEW card for this challenge - the dp on the brown cs and the strips for the flower - all are scraps (okay, I did bend the rules a little - I think there are more than 7 different scraps... LOL).

I love this card and I just love the idea of using my scraps.  The card goes also for the following challenges: #80 gingersnap; prairie fairy fridays; if the shoe fits; city crafter; ppa; cateredcrop (from the recipe I used button); the crafty pad; aly's; crazy challenge; totally stampalicious; gingerloft; I did it creations; osaat;

כרטיס פשוט וקליל שהכנתי לאתגר של שימוש בשאריות. זה הזכיר לי את הפעמיים הקודמות בהן עשיתי שימוש מסיבי בשאריות - להכנת פרח וכמאטינג לתמונה. אני שומרת כמעט את כל השאריות של הדפים, גם הקטנות, ואח"כ עושה בהן שימוש נוסף. הדבקת שאריות על בריסטול לבן עם מוד פאדג' יוצרת דף מדוגם חדש ומעניין, שניתן להשתמש בו להרבה שימושים.

ונתתי הצצה קטנה לחלק מדף מעוצב חדש שהכנתי. את כל הדף אפשר יהיה לראות תוך יום-יומיים. אני מאד אוהבת את הדף שיצא. הוא עם ניחוח וינטאג'י כמו שאני אוהבת.
