Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog! Your comments are much appreciated!

On the belly

A photo of my youngest, when he was 10 months old, crawling on his belly, on the ground. Look at his hat! you've gotta love it! :)))
I used the lovely sketch, designed by Debbie, from Artful Delight:

I used cs & dp from different manufacturers: Bazzill, October Afternoon, Webster's Pages, Little Yellow Bicycle, Summer Seeds by Tzruya Ilan. I used a big doily and some buttons from my stash, and I also made some felt embellishments - the flowers in the right corner and the semi-circle on the left one.
Here are some close-ups:

I would like to enter this lo to the following challenges:
recipe - frosted designs (I used: the color yellow, buttons, misting/inking, flowers, rub-ons (the sub-title)
lavish layers plus kraft - the kraft journal
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog!

Elegant kraft card for Simply Create

Tomorrow our new challenge at Simply Create (former Simple Doodles) will start, and this time it's "PUNCH IT!". Easy peasy one.
This is the card I've made for the challenge. I used MS doily lace border punch on two different kraft cs and two  cream cs. The accordion  flower was done also with a punch - a corner punch. The flourish stamp is 7Gypsies.

I'm entering this card also for the following challenges: day 318 at 365 cards; cute card thursday; the kraft journal;

Take a look at this sneak peek:

I'll post it tomorrow, for Frosted Designs' new challenge. Please come back to see it :).

Thanks for taking the time and visiting my blog.

It's Basic - It's All About Family - lo

This week's challenge at Frosted Designs is a word challenge - use the word "Family" anywhere on  your creation, and this is my lo for this challenge. Sorry for the bad photo, I didn't have the right light condition to take it.

I used the sketch from Scrapbook Challenges, sketch #232:

I did a lot of distressing and hand stitching on this lo. All stitching, excetp for the frame around the dark cs, is hand stitching.
The big tag, the matting of the photo, is hand cut by a template. And since there are lots of tags here, it also fits the current challenge at Simple Doodles, which is Tag it!.
The sentiment is K&Co. die cut, attached to a chipboard, and I distressed the edges.

Here's a close-up on on the tags:

And on masking for the word "Basic":

And a close-up on the crochet flowers. I just love those buttons. I need to buy some more of them, in more colors.

I'm entering this lo also for these challenges: simonsays stamp and show (the old/vintage look); sentimental sundays (my song inspiration was "We Are Family" by the Sister Sledge); stuckonusketches (the hand cut tgas by a template); if the shoe fits; city crafter; ppaprairie fairy; scrap-creations; creative card crew; crafty sentiments; craft your days away (the photo itself was cut with border punch); aly's; the crafty padI did it creations; gingerloft; catered crop (I used: TH distress inks, DCWV & Canson cs, buttons, sewing); osaat; day 295 at 365 cards (the colors)
Thank you for visiting my blog!

Fine (evereything's gonna be fine, fine, fine...)

Edit: This lo won #68 spcc
color combo. Thank you!

This lo was chosen as a Ginger Gem
Gingersnap Creations
neutrals plus one challenge
Thanks you!

I've already made 2 lo about summer afternoon at the beach, one of each of my kids, and now it's my turn... :) Like I've wrote in previous posts, it was a very stressful day for me and I was very depressed, but being by the seaside, with my kiddos, turned it into a fab afternoon. I had to remind myself that "what it all comes down to is that everything's gonna be fine, fine, fine"... Hand in my pocket by Alanis Morisette, the inspiration for this week over Scrapping the music (love, love, love that song!).
The journaling says, in hebrew: "reminding myself that everything, but everything, is gonna be fine. The finest there is. We're healthy and happy. All worries, all problems, all will find it's solution. Everything's gonna be just fine".
The journaling spot and the matting of it were embossed and then inked with distress ink, and so were the cream butterflies.

Sketch is of Helen Croft's, on Sketches in Thyme, only I flipped and turned it to fit my photo:

colors are for Our Creative Corner, with this color scheme:
and for sp-color combo:

 And some more challenges:
vintage - alphabet; for fun
neutrals plus one color - #72 gingersnap
handmade flowers - #17 paper romance; scrappy frogs
recipe (2 dp, embossing, buttons) - #65 mawtt
lace & pearls - #28 cuyl

Thanks for stopping by!
