Making a Statement

This lo was made with products from my January Counterfeit Kit. The inspiration was from case file #54 at CSI. This time, as part of the case file, there was also a sketch, drawn by the talented Emma Stafrace:

The photos are of my youngest, when he was 16 months old. At that time, he only crawled. He's a very determined boy, as one can see immediately from the expression on his face in these photos.

The clues I've used to solve this case were:

Scheme - use all 5 colors;

Sketch - see above. I lowered the banner to the bottom of the title, and for the circles I used the inner part of a 3-D foam adhesive to stamp with Mr. Huey's.

Evidence - ticket, polka dots, music pattern, mixed media background, string.

Testimony - the journaling, handwritten on the ticket under the big photo. I wrote about my boy's determined personality. An opptional creteria for the journaling was to be inpired by a song title/lyrics. I think that Frank Sinatra's song, "I did it my way" is the perfect inspiration for my journaling :))). My boy has certainly his own unique way and he sure does everything his way.

דף שהוכן מחומרים של קיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר, לאתגר משולב של סקיצה/צבעים/אלמנטים/ג'ורנלינג  ב-CSI. 

התמונות הן של צעיר הבנים, כשהיה כבן 16 חודשים. באותו זמן, הוא עדיין רק זחל. הילדון שלי מאד נחוש בדעתו, בעל דעות מוצקות ועומד על שלו. אני חושבת שההבעה שעל פניו בשתי התמונות בדף הזה מאד משקפת את האישיות הזאת שלו. השיר שהכי מתחבר לי בהקשר הזה, הוא השיר של פרנק סינטרה "I did it my way". לילדון שלי יש בהחלט את הדרך הייחודית שלו, והוא אכן עושה את הדברים בדרכו שלו, המאד מיוחדת.

This is my take on December's sketch at My Creative Sketches, here's the sketch:

I used mostly products from my January Counterfeit Kit, and added only some white fllowers (I didn't have any flowers in my kit! shame...), glimmer mist, dew drops and pearl pen.

The doilies were cut with Cheery Lynn dies. The paper are mix & match of Ruby rock it and Basic Grey.

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה, עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר. הוספתי פרחים (לא להאמין, אבל לא הכנסתי פרחים לקיט החודש...), dew drops והשתמשתי ב-pearl pen למסגור של הדף והעיגול מהדף המדוגם.

This is my take on sketch #82 from Sketchabilities:

The photos are of my boys with me, taken about a year ago.  It was a cold but sunny day on December and we took a trip not far way from our home. The winter theme was inspired by the look I had from my window a few days ago (photo at the end of this post), but I used a warm palette. I love the contrast.

The colors of this lo are based on the inpriation photo from an Israeli challenge blog "Out of the lines":

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה ב-Sketchabilities, עם השראת תמונה וצבעים מהאתגר של "יוצאות מהקווים". תמונת ההשראה הייתה של טוסקנה, וזה ישר מעורר אסוציאציות של קיץ חמים, עם קרני שמש מלטפות. אז בהפוך על הפוך הכנתי דף עם תמונות של הילדודס איתי בטיול שטיילנו בחרבת בית עיתאב בדצמבר לפני שנה. באותו יום מזג האוויר היה קר למדי, אך בשלב כלשהו של הטיול השמש יצאה וזרחה במלוא הדרה. האוויר היה נקי וצלול, ומראש החורבה נשקף נוף יפהפה של שפלת יהודה.
 זה לא ממש מפתיע שהלכתי על תמונות חורפיות, בהתחשב במזג האוויר ששרר פה בימים האחרונים, ובמראה שנשקף מחלון ביתנו בבוקרו של יום חמישי האחרון:

הדף הזה הוא למעשה מיחזור/עשיה מחדש של דף שהכנתי בעבר, ובדיעבד לא כל כך אהבתי. אולי הפעם הוא ימצא חן בעיני יותר :).

So Excited

Another lo made of my Jan Counterfeit Kit, with a photo of my youngest, on his borther's 5th birthday party. The little one was so excited to participate in that party, to play along with the "big" kids. He was really thrilled :). I love this photo, capturing that chubby cheek :))).

I was inspired by #141 palette at The Color Rooms:

I love the little touches of red here and there, I think they really add some interest to the page.

I used sketch #13 from Scrap Africa, only turned it vertical:

I used texture modeling paste, fussy cutting and hand stitching around the page. Papers are mix and match from Bazzill, Ruby Rock-It, Basic Grey. The journaling card is from one of my previous counterfeit kits.

על הדף הזה אפשר לומר "היהפוך כושי עורו".... בסופו של דבר אנחנו בד"כ נשארים עם הסגנון האישי הייחודי שלנו, ולא "הופכים את עורנו". זה מה שקרה לי עם הסקיצה ביוצאות מהקווים. במבט ראשון (ושני, ושלישי ואפילו שישי) בכלל לא אהבתי את הסקיצה.
ועוד התלוותה אליה קריאה נרגשת למינימליזם... כאילו דאהההה???? לא מתאים לי, לא בשבילי. זה לא שיש לי בעיה עם white space, בכלל לא (למשל בדף הזה שהכנתי ממש לאחרונה),  אבל משהו בסקיצה הזאת לא נראה לי. אז עזבתי את זה.

אבל אתגר זה אתגר, לא? אז בדקתי איך אני יכולה בכל זאת לבצע את הסקיצה הזאת, עם תרגום אישי שלי, עם הסגנון שלי.

אז מה היה לנו בסקיצה הזאת. שתי נקודות מיקוד שוות (כבר בעיה....), ממוקמות בשני קצוות מנוגדים של הדף. בכל מוקד, תמונה עם מאטינג וכותרת. באחד מהמוקדים גם קישוט קטן ומינימליסטי.

ואיך מתרגמים את הסקיצה הזאת למשהו שבכל זאת יתקבל על דעתי? קודם כל משנים את הפרופורציות. מוקד אחד קיבל דגש רב יותר - הוא גדול יותר, עשיר יותר בפרטים. שימוש בתמונה גדולה מאד של תקריב, כמה שכבות מאטינג של דפים מדוגמים, עיטור תחרה בתחתית, וכל אלה מורכבים על רקע של קיר לבנים ומסיכה עם משחת עיצוב בעלת טקסטורה. 

יופי, כבר נהיה לי טוב יותר בעין.

המוקד השני, המשני, הפך להיות המקום לכותרת של הדף כולו ולג'ורנלינג. כדי לשמור על הסימטריה ועל החזרה (שני אלמנטים עיצוביים חשובים), שני המוקדים 'מתכתבים' זה עם זה בעיטור הפרחים הכחלחלים הגזורים, בפיסת דף מדוגם אדמדם שמציץ מהצד, ובנגיעות של הפרחים האדומים.

המוקד הגדול והראשי קיבל את כותרת המשנה - התאריך, שהושמה בתוך תגית עם חוט אופים מסתלסל, וכך שמרתי גם על האלמנט הקישוטי שלצד המוקד התחתון.

עוד נגיעות עיצוביות שהפכו את הדף הזה ל"שלי" הן הדיסטרוס של הדפים, ובמיוחד של דף הבסיס, שהוספה לו שכבה מתחת של דף תכלת מנוקד בעדינות. עוד תפירה ידנית מסביב לכל הדף - ויכולתי להסתכל בסיפוק על הדף הזה. עכשיו זה נראה בסדר גמור.

והתמונה המדהימה הזאת היא של צעיר הבנים, כשהיה כבן שלוש שנים, משתתף בהתרגשות רבה בחגיגת יום ההולדת של אחיו הבכור.

Mr. Happy

The challenge for January at White With 1 is a color swatch (aqua plus red) and a summer photo. The photo is of my youngest, at the end of summer vacation 2006. I just love that smile :)). The title says: "Mr. Happy". 

I used my January counterfeit kit for this lo. I used some texture modeling paste as a frame and inked it gently with bluish pigment ink.

הדף הזה הוכן עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר, לאתגר שמחייב שימוש בקארדסטוק לבן, בתוספת משתנה של אלמנטים. החודש האתגר היה שימוש בפלטת צבעים (כחול ואדום) בצירוף תמונה קיצית. התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים בסוף חופשת הקיץ בשנת 2006.

השתמשתי במשחת עיצוב עם טקסטורה כדי ליצור מסגרת, ועליה הנחתי את שכבות הניירות המדוגמים, הדוילי, התחרה והתמונה.הסלסולים הם מסיכה שיצרתי מחיתוכי Cheery Lynn, והוספתי קצת כפתורים ו-pearl pen לעיטור. בצדדים הדבקתי וואשי טייפ ושאריות של נייר מדוגם, כדי להוסיף עניין לדף.

Altered Notebook

This is an altered notebook I've made for the young lady who take care of my boys, while I'm not at home (i.e. staying too long at work...). She started studding and I wanted to give her a gift she can use.

The products are from my Jan Counterfeit Kit.

The photo is of my boys, 6 years ago, after we had lots of fun in the snow at Mount Hermon. After e went down to the parking, I  had to change their clothes - they got totally wet from the snow :).

דף מדוגם שהכנתי עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר לאתגר של סקיצה. 

התמונה היא של הילדודס, לפני כ-6 שנים, אחרי שבילינו בשלג בחרמון. כשירדנו לחנייה, הייתי צריכה להחליף להם את כל הבגדים שנרטבו מהשלג.

השתמשתי בביג שוט לחתוך את הרשת והעלים המסולסלים. את הפס הרוחבי בסקיצה החלפתי בעיצוב של חיצים. זה אחד הטרנדים היותר לוהטים כיום בעולם הסקראפ :).

Almost Ready to Sleep - #1 mini challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog

Our #1 mini challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog is "Use only 3", i.e. use 3 pp, 3 embellishments and 3 words title.

The products I used are all from my January Counterfeit Kit, and they're all BasicGrey Paper Cottage (and all of them are part of the generous prize I won at Artful Delight! thanks, Leeanne, for your generousity).

I used 3 pp - BG Paper Cottage collection; 3 embellishments - doilies, stickers and fussy cutting from one of the pp; 3 words title, which says in Hebrew: Almost Ready for Sleep.

האתגר הראשון לחודש ינואר בבלוג של קיט החיקוי הוא בסימן "3" - 3 דפים מדוגמים, 3 קישוטים וכותרת בת 3 מילים.

כל החומרים בדף הזה הם מקיט החיקוי שלי לחודש זה, ומרביתם של Basic Grey. מעבר ל-3 הדפים המדוגמים, השתמשתי ב-3 קישוטים והם: סטיקרים, דוילי'ס שנחתכו בעזרת הביג שוט וחיתוכים עדינים שנחתכו מתוך אחד מהדפים המדוגמים (אמרתי כבר שהסכין של אינגבילד בולם הוא פשוט מדהים? כל כך נוח לעבוד איתו!).

התמונה היא של הבכור, כשהיה כמעט בן 3, לבוש בפיג'מה ומתפנק במיטה הגדולה של אמא, רגע לפני שהולך לישון. יש משהו קסום בתום שנשקף מפניו.

טלפון שבור או גלגולו של דף (Chinese Whispers)

This post is about a scrappy game I've played with some very talented Israeli scrappers. You can see the layout I've made, the layout I got to scraplift, and if you wish, you can visit all those ladies' blogs, according to the list at the end of my post. Thank you!

את  משחק הילדים הישן והאהוב "טלפון שבור" מן הסתם אין צורך להכיר לכם. משחק משעשע ומצחיק, שאף מסר חינוכי גדול בצידו - על כוחה ההרסני של השמועה.

אבל לא הגעתם הנה כדי לקרוא על משחקי ילדות ובטח שלא לקבל הרצאה חינוכית מלומדת. אנחנו כאן כדי להנות מסקראפ, נכון? אז הנה, יש תרגום של משחק הילדים המשעשע לעולם הסקראפ.

אם הגעתן לבלוג שלי מהבלוג של יעל, אז אתן בדרך הנכונה. אם הגעתן ישירות ואתן רוצות לראות את המשחק הזה מתחילתו, אנא התחילו בבלוג של טניה ומשם המשיכו בהתאם לקפיצות בין הבלוגים.

לפני כמה שבועות הזמנתי כמה יוצרות סקראפיות להשתתף איתי במשחק הזה, שבו נעביר זו לזו בשרשרת דף שעיצבנו, ונראה בסוף איך התגלגל העיבוד בינינו. לכל אחת ואחת מהמשתתפות במשחק יש סגנון מאד ייחודי לה, והסגנונות מאד שונים זה מזה, מה שהופך את המשחק הזה למרתק עוד יותר.

הראשונה, טניה,  עבדה עם סקיצה, והעבירה את הדף שעיצבה (בלי הסקיצה!!) לבאה בתור, אשר התבקשה להכין דף משלה, על בסיס הדף של קודמתה, ולהעביר את שלה לבאה בתור, וכך עד סוף התור.

אף אחת מאיתנו לא ראתה את הדפים של כולן, כך שגם עבורנו זו התרגשות וסקרנות לראות את גלגולו של דף, יחד איתכן.

אז הנה הדף שלי:

הדף הוכן על בסיס הדף שהכינה יעל, שנראה כך:

שמרתי על מרבית העיצוב של הדף שקיבלתי, אבל כמובן שהוספתי שכבות. איך לא.... :)))

הקישוטים שבצד ימין, על התמונה ולמעלה, לא התאימו לי בעיצוב הכולל, אז ויתרתי עליהם, והנה כך "תרמתי" לשמועתיות של הדף, שהתרחק עוד קצת מהמקור.

יצא לי דף מאד צבעוני ועליז, קצת שונה מהרגיל אצלי, אבל בסופו של דבר אני חושבת שניכר בו הסגנון האישי שלי.

I must say that at first I thought to give up this month... This kit is so Christmass and we don't celebrate Chirstmas at all. Usually, I even don't have papers even similar those in the inspiration kit, so I thought I'll counterfeit it in general even if my kit will be very different.

Eventually, I ended up with a kit very similar to the inspiration one, thanks to a prize I won last month at Artful Delight. The kit I won there was also Christmas theme, but Leeanne, the owner of Artful Delight, was so kind to switch it to another kit of hers. She was very generous and her package arived so quickly (overseas shippment!), just in time for me to make my counterfeit kit.

חודש חדש וקיט חיקוי חדש! (גם) הפעם היה לי קשה בהתחלה להתחבר לקיט ההשראה, שהיה מאד מאד כריסטמסי. הרווח וההצלה באו הפעם מפרס שבו זכיתי, קיט ענקי, מלא בכל טוב. הוא הגיע ממש בזמן כדי שאספיק להכין את קיט החיקוי שלי. הוספתי עוד כמה דפים וקישוטים - והנה הקיט מוכן. אני לא בטוחה איך וכמה אשתמש בו, אם כי לחלק מהדפים שאותם הכנסתי לקיט יש צד שני שקוסם לי הרבה יותר. שני פרוייקטים כבר הספקתי להכין מהקיט הזה, ואחד מהם, דף מעוצב, יעלה בפוסט ביום חמישי, עם האתגר הראשון שלנו לחודש ינואר. 

אז מי מצטרפת החודש? אני מזכירה לכן שלא חייבים להכין קיט גדול, עם כל המרכיבים. אפשר להסתפק גם בקיט קטן, עם 3-4 דפים מדוגמים, קארדסטוק או שניים לבסיס, וכמה קישוטים. העיקר הוא להשמיש את החומרים שיש לכן כבר ממילא בבית.

ועוד מעט, ממש עוד מעט, יעלה הפוסט שלי למשחק של 'טלפון שבור', אז תשארו בסביבה....
