A happy birthday card, with squares

I really liked the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, so I made another card following this sketch:

For the colors I was inspired by the current challenge at Color Throwdown #660:

I stamped different patterns in the colors of blue, navy and green, trimmed it to smaller squares. The leaf was die cut from the paper I've made for the 1st version of this sketch (HERE).

I didn't add any other embellishment, like sequins or enamel dots, as I wanted it to fit for a male birthday card.

I adhered the element on a stamp shape pannel and then adhered it on a navy cs.

It also goes for Addicted to Cas #206, which is 'Leaf':

Thank you for vising my blog. Your comments are much appreciated.

Such a pretty card. I like the way the orange leaf pops off the patterned squares. Love the die cut panel on black; makes them feel a bit like polka dots (or half polka dots), adding some whimsy to your card. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS.
