This month at Counterfeit Kit Challenge they have 'Emerson' by Citrus Twist to counterfeit.
I have to admit - I had no inspiration from the kit. Luckily, they also have a FB page, and the lovely ladies over there just helped me with ideas.
It's funny, but my starting point was the cork embellishments, and I remembered that I have a long forgotten cork sheet, so I was very happy to finally use it. I cut some circles with my BigShot, and stamped with archival black ink:
Okay, that's nice for a start, but usually my inspiration drives from the colors. So I set and wrote down the colors, patterns and type of embellishments, to help me.
My list was:
Colors: gray (dark and light), yeallow, light blue, peach/ coral/ light pink, light orange.
Patterns: chevrons, triangles, hearts.
Embellishments: wood veneer, cork, heart in two colors, words stickers, labels, sticky dots/ eyelets.
Bingo! now I was able to sort through my stash. I and finally came out with my 'Warm and Cosy' kit.
Here's my kit:
papers: My Mind's Eye (Find your wings and fly/ Sky's the limit); Simple Stories (Posh/ I laugh lots, Dream big); Echo Park (Go, see, explore/ border stripes, Dots&stripes/ Pineapple), Fancy Pants (Park bench/ Blanket).
embellishments: handmade (cork circles, labels, double color hearts, enamel dots); Fancy Pants (lime envelope, puffy stickers, cork arrows); StudioForteen40 (flair buttons); Creative Embellishments (diamond chipboards); Yael Yaniv (letter stickers); Tim Holtz (Idea-ology word stickers).
This kit is certainly out of my comfort zone and I hope it will inspire me this month. Time will tell..... LOL
Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are much appreciated.

What a nice match-up this is to the inspiration kit. Love your cork and other baubles. Enjoy this pretty kit.
Very creative approach! I wonder if there may be more inspiration on the Citrus Twist blog from November 2016 that could help? Can't wait to see your pages!
I just adore what you put together! It's completely my style and I would happily scrap with it - bravo to you with coming up with a different starting point!
