Right here, Right now - Sketchabilities April 15th reveal

Edit: one of April's Fab Five
at Cournterfeit Kit Club
Sharing my DT lo for Sketchabilities April 15th reveal, with this awesome sketch drawn by Karan Gerber:
I used my April counterfeit kit. I also used some dies by CheeryLynn Designs, Die-namics and Die-Namites (Bare Branch (DN-1091); Leafy Branch (DN-1046) . I was so lucky to recieve my StudioFourteen40 package so quickly, so I was able to use some of the fabulous flairs (Boys Will Be Boys-set 4; Joy Ride-set 3; Post Mark-set 3).

April 15th sketch at Stuck?! is up and this is my take on it. Here's the awesome sketch that Laura Whitaker made for us:
It's another lo made with my April counterfeit kit, and I used some of StudioFourteen40 goodies I recieved. I used Bitz of Glitz True golden sequins,  Thrift Shop set 4; and The Hamptons set 2.
I would like to enter it to the contest at Paper Issues, for the summer theme.

A great opportunity!

You probably have noticed that lately I started using beautiful flairs on my layouts. Well, I have the pleasure to be a Guest Designer at StudioFourteen40, an Australian store, with a great range of flairs and other embellishments:
Sandra has the MOST beautiful flairs and other embellishments that will help you to give that extra touch to your work. The store has a great range of styles and colors, so you can always find something that suits your project. You can use these embellies not only for scrapbooking, but also for cards, mini albums, PL, art journal, etc.
The prices are very attractive and they have a special offer for international customers. And I was totally surprised how quickly my order arrived.
Here are some sneak peeks of some of my newest projects, where I used those flairs:

They're offering a special discount for Easter/Passover - 15% discount on all items (not including the new collections), so you'd better hurry up for your chance to get some of these beautiful flairs.
Please stay tuned for the next couple of days, as I will be posting some new layouts I made,  using the wonderful flairs.

Hey You

I have some exciting news to share with you, but my lips are still sealed, so you'll just have to wait :)). Meanwhile, this is my take on case file #117 at CSI.
I really love this palette!
The photo is of my youngest when he was 9 months old. today is his 9th birthday!!
I used April sketch from C'est Magnifique:
All products are from my April counterfeit kit, except the beautiful StudioFourteen40 flairs (Dali set 2 and set 3).
My journaling is about the difficulties I had after giving birth, having PPD, with a baby that is SPD (only I didn't know that at that time). For a while I was not able to really see how cute my baby was :(. Luckily, I got a lot of help from my loving family and I got over it. part of the healing was to give up being in control all the time, just to let things go, and believe everyting will be okay (or even good...).
Scheme - I used all colors.
Evidence - circles, metals (flair buttons), flowers, butterflies.
Testimony - is writing about PPD goes for quirks? anyway, for my jouranling (hidden in the evnelope behind the photo) I stamped cs with pattern on the outside and jouranling spots in the inside. I took a photo of it BEFORE I wrote the journaling, as it's very personal, but I can share some of it: "At the begining I took care of you automatically, my heart was not there. I was too depressed, fighting each day to survive. I was feeling you are a bit stranger to me, like I couldn't understand you instinctively, as a mother should. It's so funny, as you're so alike me, and always have been. maybe I was just a stranger to myself at that time. I had to let go of the will to control every single aspect of my life, and when I did, then I was free. free to feel the depth of my love for you."
In making this lo, I was also very inspired by Riikka's inspiration board at Scrap Around The World:
I was inspired by several things from the moodboard - the two quotes, the colors of blue and mint/seafoam, the circles and the cracks. The glasses were also an inspiration, as the glasses we wear influence our perspective.  How fragile we are...

A Pocketful of Dreams - my April Counterfeit Kit

It has been a while since I've played with Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, but when I saw that this months they're doing Identikits with the inspiration from CSI #112 case file, I decided to join in. two of my all time fav challenge sites, this is a winning combination :).
So here's my counterfeit kit that I named 'A Pocketful of Dreams', and I've made lots of homemade flowers: (there're many more to come...)
Patterned papers & cs:
Some scraps and 6x6 papers:
Alphas & stickers:
Embellishments:

And just because I relly love this color palette, I've made an add-on kit, and named it 'A Fancy Portolio', as all the pp and many of the embellies are Fancy Pants' and Pink Paislee's:

Never Say Never

Normally, I don't do purple. don't know exactly why, but I just don't do purple, especially if it's the predominant color, but then 'never say never' :)
When I saw this month's challenge at Black With 2, I was very attracted to the color combo of black/lime/purple, but thought it was too challenging for me. But I'm a great fan of challenges, especially if they make me go out of my comfort zone, so I couldn't just pass over this challenge :).
Here's the challenge at Black With 2:
I started by gathering some papers with the requested colors and found the right photo, and then I was carried away, and pulled  out flowers in different shades of purple, and some ribbons it matching colors (forgotten and unused stash). I also used my newest die from Die-Namites, Floral Corner. Thanks to Sandra from Studio Fourteen40, I played again with my sequins. I think sequins add so much airy feeling. love them.
This is what I came up with:
Edit: my lo was one of the Top 9 featured layout!
AND won GD spot at Black With 2!
Thank you!

One of the reasons I don't work with purple is that I can never get a proper photo of this color. the dark purple turns out blue, the lavender turns out white. The lovely girls at BW2 gave me some tips how to use my camera, and I think it worked out! I told you - never say never :).
You can see the lovely colors on the close-ups:

I would like to enter it also for the 'use black' challenge at The Crafty Scrapper.
