You & Me - Sketchabilties #107

This is my 2nd post today.

A new sketch at Sketchabilities, and a fantastic one, as usual:

For this page, I used my Jan Counterfeit Kit. I really love my counterfeited pieces - the 'button sticker',  the wooden stars, the vellum arrows and the little blue star on the string. Here are some close-ups:

The layers under the photo are from Simple Stories 24/7 6X6 pad. The circle sticker for the title is from Echo Park 'Beautiful Life' collection. I also used some Studio Calico's heart wood veneer.

סקיצה חדשה ונהדרת ב-Sketchabilities, והשתמשתי בקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר כדי להכין את הדף.

אני אוהבת את הקישוטונים שהכנתי בעצמי - כוכבי 'עץ', חיצים של וולום, 'סטיקר של כפתור' והכוכב המנצנץ על חוט מתכת.

סקיצה חדשה ב-Stuck?! שאפשר לתת לה פירושים שונים, כפי שתוכלו לראות מעבודות צוות העיצוב השונות זו  מזו. בעוד כמה ימים אעלה פוסט 'מתחילה ועד סיום' על איך הכנתי את הדף הזה, ותוכלו להתרשם איך עובדים עם סקיצה, איך מיישמים עקרונות עיצוב שונים וכיוצ"ב.

יש פרסים שווים, כדאי לנסות את המזל (הזוכים נבחרים רנדומלית).

Sunshine Smiles

The palette of case file #104 at CSI was a little intimidating for me, but I was determined to give it a try :-). The hardest color was, obviously, the pink one.

I've made the background with Portfolio Oil Pastels, stamping, washi tape, masking with textured modeling paste and gesso. The photo is of my eldest, when he was about 5 months old, and I printed it on a canvas sheet, so it's a little grainy.

Here's case file #104 at CSI:

The clues I've used to solve the case were:

Scheme - I've used all 5 colors.

Evidence - frames, hearts, polka dots, paint (gesso, Portfolio Oil pastels, inks), doily.

Testimony - since the page is quite busy, the journaling is on the back of the page, and it says: "You've smiled an intended smile when you were only 3 weeks old. I knew it was an intended smile, and since then you kept smiling. Since you were a baby, you used to wake up with a sunshine smile. You start your days with a smile and it always makes my heart sing. May you remain with your sunshine smiles for the rest of your life."

דף עליז וצבעוני שהכנתי בהשראת האתגר ב-CSI. תודה ענקית לענת מאיקס מיקס, ש'אילצה' אותי לקחת את צבעי השמן המדהימים הללו. כל כך נהניתי ליצור איתם את הרקע, והעבודה איתם פשוט זורמת ומייצרת אפקטים נפלאים.

Winter Days - Jan Counterfeit Kit

It has been (too) long time since I playes with CKC, and one of my New Year's resolutions is to get back to this fab blog.

Here's the inspiration kit - Hip 2 Be Square's December kit:

And the embellishment inspiration kit Oh Deer Me December embellishment kit:

I was inspired by the colors - light kraft, light blue, greeny teal, white, gray and touches of pink. 

Since I hardly use pink, I took it to more redish colors.

I also counterfeited some of the embellies - sprakling stars on wires, wood stars, buttons stickers, vellum arrows. Here are my counterfeited items:

And my embellishment kit:

Lots of alphas (I just couldn't decide what I'll be using...):

Add-on kit, with a fabric flower and a paper flower (both made by me!):

And close-ups on the handmade flowers:

I reserve the right to add stamps, inks, masks, mists, distress stain etc., modeling paste, gesso and more flowers.

I have so many snow photos from last month's storm that need to be scrapped...

זמן רב לא השתתפתי בבלוג של קיט החיקוי, ואחת ההחלטות לשנה החדשה היא לחזור ולהשתתף שם. זו דרך נפלאה להשתמש במלאי החומרים שממילא יש אצלי (ולהצדיק את הרכישות הבאות..). 

עיקר ההשראה שלי היה מהצבעים - קראפט בהיר, גוונים שונים של תכלת, אפור, לבן ונגיעות של ורוד. מאחר שאני בקושי משתמשת בורוד, הסבתי אותו לגוונים יותר אדומים.

הכנתי קיט די גדול (זה תמיד כך....), וגם תוספות - פרח מבד ופרח מנייר שהכנתי בעצמי.

יש די הרבה תמונות מסופת השלג שהייתה לפני 3 שבועות, כך שיש עם מה לעבוד....

Snow Much Fun - Stuck?! Jan 1st reveal

Happy New Year to all who celebrate it! and a new month means a new sketch at Stuck?!:

And we have not one, but two wonderful sponsors: Scrapmatts AND Frosted Designs.
This time we teamed with Frosted Designs for this challenge, and along with this sketch, you're asked to use ink/mist/paint on your laout.

I used Carta Bella 'Rough&Tumble' papers (kit and 6X6 pad), and also chipboards from that collection. On the bluish Bazzill cs I splattered Mr. Huey's mists and I inked the edges of the papers, photo and embellies with TH distress ink. The alphas are AC Thickers.

שנה אזרחית חדשה החלה, וחודש חדש גם כן, וזה אומר שיש אתגר סקיצה חדש ב-!?Stuck.

התמונה היא אמנם תמונה של הילדודס משחקים בשלג, אבל לא מסערת השלג האחרונה, אלא משלג מתון שירד לפני קצת יותר  משנה. השתמשתי בדפים וצ'יפבורדים של Carta Bella מהקולקציה הזאת. כמה השפרצות של מיסטים, שהשתלבו בצבעים ובסגנון הן עם הדפים והקישוטים והן עם התמונה.

1st Snow Day - Sketchabilities Dec 30th reveal

We're nearly the end of 2013.... where did time fly? anyway, it's time for a new sketch at Sketchabilities, and Karan rocked again with a fab sketch:

The photo is of my eldest, almost 2 years ago. It was the 1st time we had snow here...

I've made a quilled snowflake, and used a pp with some snowflakes. I worked with gesso over a mask on the upper and lower corners, and added some grayish glittered flowers. I also used Prima's stitches stamp and some washi tape.

סוף השנה האזרחית הגיע ואוטוטו מתחילה שנה אזרחית חדשה. בטרם מסתיימת השנה, זה זמן לסקיצה חדשה ב-Sketchabilities.

התמונה היא דווקא לא מסערת השלג האחרונה, אלא מיום השלג הראשון שהיה לנו לפני כמעט שנתיים.

הכנתי פתית שלג מקווילינג, וצרפתי לו שני פרחים כסופים מנצנצים וחיתוכי עלים מסולסלים. בקצוות עבדתי עם ג'סו על מסיכה, ומעל החתמתי בחותמת תיפורים של פרימה. השתמשתי גם בוואשי טייפ כחול מנוקד בלבן.
