Unforgettable - lo

The photo is of my youngest on a trip we took two months ago, and the beautiful Glitz paper was just perfect for it. Glitz are having a lovely challenge - clustering.

Here's a close-up on the flowers cluster:

Isn't that vintage button on the middle simply gorgeous?

I used the sketch from Scrap with V (I flipped it to fit the photo):

And it's another entry to the challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous - the matting for the photo is a cream cs, inked with 3 different distress inks (tea dye, peeled paint & chaina blue), crumpled and the stamped with Hero Arts stamp (la Letter); I also have 4 stamped embellishments - the journling on the doily (Prima), thc corners (American Crafts), the title & the frame (both Inkadinkado).

I'm also entering this lo for the distressing challenge at Paper Romance; lace at Bunny Zoe's crafts; use a doily at the paper trail makers;

I'm very pleased that I've done a BOYISH vintage soft page. I like the soft colors on this lo and the lace trims and flowers. I hope my boy won't hate it when he grows up....LOL

דף אלבום חדש, מאד וינטאג'י, עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים בטיול ביער צרעה לפני כחודשיים. מייד כשראיתי את הדף של Glitz, אותו קיבלתי כפרס מ-My Punch, ידעתי איזו תמונה מתאימה לדף הזה, ולהיפך.

כל החותמות בהן השתמשתי בדף הזה, כולל ליצירת דף המאטינג לתמונה, הן ממסטיקים, למעט המסגרת של הכותרת.

אני מאד אוהבת את שילוב הצבעים הרך והעדין בדף הזה, ובמיוחד אני שמחה שהכנתי דף מאד וינטאג'י, רומנטי ורך - עם תמונה של ילד (ולא של תינוק!).

מאוחר יותר אעלה את הדף שהכנתי לאתגר הסקיצה החדש ב-Frosted Designs.

Brothers dwell together in unity - two pagers and a card

photos of my boys on a trip we took 2 months ago in a place called "The Sculptures Road". Those photos of the boys sitting together in unity and peace called for the words from Psalms, and that the title, in Hebrew.

These moments, when they're in unity and not fighting each other, are the moments I feel such a great pleasure. Moments to cherish.

Okay, no need to panic... yes, I've  made a two pagers, and no, I'm not doing it too often. And guess what? I even made a card out of some scraps from the lo's... 

Why? it's because of the challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous, which was to use stamps to create at least one piece of pp and 3 stamped embellishments. The ladies over SA gave and extra chance to win, if you make  a card from the scraps of the layout. 

And why two pagers? because I couldn't decide which of the 3 photos to pick... LOL and because I liked both sketches - at Sketchy Thursdays:

On each lo I kept the creteria, i.e. I used a stamp to create a pp and used 3 stamped embellishments. On both layouts the pp is the vintage look strip, made with American Crafts stamp and fussy cuts. Here's a close up:

On the 1st lo, the stamped embellishments are the big and the small butterflies (Unity stamp for the big one, MS stamp&punch for the small ones), and the sentiemnt (Inkadinkado):

On the 2nd lo, the stmaped embellishments are the clock (Inkadinkado), the heart (Unity stamp), the butterflies, the flower (foam stamp I have for ages) and the sentiments (Inkadinkado):

The cs is Bazzill basics; dp are MME. I  also used a chipboard, leaves ribbon, pearls and brads.

Since I've made two pagers with 3 photos, it also fits for the challenge at The Studio.

Now for the card. I used  sketch  #117 from CardPatterns. Here's my card:

הפעם באמת איתגרתי את עצמי :)... לעיתים נדירות מאד אני מכינה כפולה. אני איכשהו לא מתחברת לעשיה הזאת. הפעם כן. גם כפולה וגם כרטיס ברכה מהשאריות של הדפים המעוצבים, והכל התחיל מאתגר שבו הדרישה הייתה להשתמש בחותמות כדי להכין לפחות חתיכה אחת של נייר מדוגם, ובנוסף להשתמש בחותמות כדי להכין לפחות 3 קישוטים. הם גם נתנו צ'אנס נוסף לזכיה אם מכינים מהשאריות כרטיס, שיש בו גם החתמה.

מאחר שהיו לי 3 תמונות שאת כולן אהבתי, ובכולן רציתי לעשות שימוש עם אותם ניירות מדוגמים (של My Mind's Eye ממסטיקים), אז מצאתי 2 סקיצות שמצאו חן בעיני והפרוייקט הפך לכפולה.

חותמות השעון והכיתובים של Inkadinkado, גם הן ממסטיקים, וכך גם החותמת ששימשה להכנת פס העיטור המדוגם. חותמות הלב והפרפר הן של Unity, והפרפר הקטן הוא חותמת ופאנצ' של MS.

אותיות הכותרת של "תוצרת הארץ", גם כן במסטיקים. בראדים, פנינים וסרט העלים הכתום - מהאוסף הפרטי. הצ'יפבורד נדמה לי של Autumn Leaves, אבל אני לא בטוחה. יש לי המוני צ'יפבורדים מעורבבים בקופסא אחת, ואני כבר לא זוכרת איזה מאיפה.

Laughs - lo

Another week is gone... and it's Friday again, which means a new challenge at Frosted Designs. The challenge for this week is "BBQ/Picnick/Outdoor games.

The photos are from a winter trip we did last February. The title says in Hebrew: "laughs". It's all about how it is almost impossible to take a photo of my youngest without him making funny faces. It is so hard to get a natural smile from him! So the only chance is when the eldest tickles him... :)) That is what I typed for the journling.

I used the sketch from Once upon a sketch, with the journling criteria that the journling should by typed. Here's the sketch:

The swirls are handmade by me :), out of used cereal box that I painted with acrylic paint and then spread some Diamond Glaze on it. Here are some close-ups:

I don't do white pages too often, and I wanted to challenge myself with it. The dp are DCWV and Cosmo Cricket, I'm not sure about the chipboards (maybe WeR Memory Keepers?) and the buttons are from my stash.

הדף הזה הוכן לאתגר החדש ב-Frosted Designs, שבו הנושא הוא ברביקיו/פיקניק/משחקים מחוץ לבית. התמונות צולמו בטיול שטיילנו לשמורת פורה בפברואר האחרון. הג'ורנלינג מספר על הקושי לצלם את צעיר הבנים עם חיוך טבעי, בלי פרצופים, על הדרך להגיע לכך.

אני כמעט שלא מכינה דפים שהבסיס שלהם לבן, ורציתי לאתגר את עצמי עם סגנון שכזה. אני די מרוצה מהתוצאה. מה דעתכן?


את ההשראה למאטינג השחור לדפים המדוגמים והקישוטים, קיבלתי מ"יותר מסתם יעל".

אגב, ה-swirls עשויות מקרטון קורנפלקס שנצבע עם צבע אקרילי ועליו מרחתי דיאמונד גלייז. לאחרונה התאהבתי בטכניקה הזאת ליצור לעצמי "'צ'יפבורדים" בצורה, בגודל, בצבע ובכמות שאני רוצה.

ההצצה היא לדף נוסף שאותו אעלה בשבוע הבא. וכן, הוא דומה לאחד שעשיתי ממש לאחרונה, שוב בסגנון וינטאג'י....

Because of an apple

This week at Sketches In Thyme, it's an open challenge, i.e. you can use any sketch you like, create a lo based on that sketch and post it with the sketch you used.

For this challenge I used the sketch from Get Picky:

I just love this color combo of white, pink, brown and green!

זמן לאתגר סקיצה חדש ב-Sketches In Thyme!!! והשבוע זה שבוע "חופשי", ז"א הסקיצה היא לבחירתכן, ובלבד שתעבדו לפי סקיצה (אפשר גם ליצור סקיצה, רק צריך לצרף את התרשים שלה).

התמונות הן שלי בערך בגיל 4, והן מאז ומתמיד שעשעו אותי. זה תמיד נראה לי שהוצאת הלשון בסוף היא התוצאה של זה שהפריעו לי באכילת התפוח :))))...

פרח הבד עשוי בטכניקה של עיגולים ששורפים את קצותיהם. פרפר גדול שנגזר מתוך דף מדוגם של .K&Co, פאנץ' פרפר קטן של MS ופרפר תחרה.

ההצצה היא לדף חדש שהכנתי כמעצבת אורחת ב-Scrappassion, והוא יעלה בשבוע הבא, אז יש למה לחכות...

First Pregnancy - lo

Here's my take fot the Trifecta challenge at Design Dollies:

colors - use chocolate brown, white, mid pink, dark blue; elemnts - creative folds; a sketch:

I liked this sketch from the very beginigs, and the color combo was a little challenging at first, but I think that the blue zig zag ribbons adds so much on the lo.

Here are some close-ups on the folded circles flower and the butterfly, and on the lacy bird:

I also made this lo for the "First things" challenge at the Israeli forum - Open House for paper desins. It's me on the photo, week 33 on my 1st pregnancy.

Independence Day - lo

It's my second post today. For my Simply Create DT post, please go here.

It's Friday again, and it means a new challenge at Frosted Designs!!!! This week's challenge is all about Armed Forces/Patriotic. The DT's made goregous creations for this challenge, you must go and see that!

The Israeli Independence Day was last week, and we went to the Armored Corps site at Latrun. The boys were thrilled to climb almost every tank there.

For this lo I used #13 sketch from Delightful Inspirations (I flipped it on the side, to fit my photos):

I wanted to soften the military theme, so I used flowers and  a butterfly:

The dp are DCWV, October Afternoon and K&Co., and I used Kaisercraft self adhesive black pearls, Fiskars border punch and Sakura white gel pen for the faux stitching around.

דף חדש שהכנתי כחלק מצוות מעצבות ב-Frosted Designs. האתגר השבוע הוא "הכוחות המזויינים/פטריוטי". האתגר הוא אמנם מקושר לימי חג אמריקאיים, אבל הוא בהחלט בינלאומי, כך שאפשר להעלות עבודות שקשורות לנושא אבל לא לחגים האמריקאיים.

מאחר שיום העצמאות שלנו היה בסה"כ לפני כ-10 ימים, זו הייתה הזדמנות מצויינת להכין ולהעלות דף עם גאווה לאומית :))).

התמונות הם מביקור שלנו ב"יד לשריון" בלטרון, מיום העצמאות האחרון. הבנים היו באקסטזה מכל הטנקים.

השתמשתי בדף מדוגם "קרבי" של .K&Co, ואת הסצינה והמראה הקרביים משהו, ריככתי עם הפרחים, הפרפר והדגלונים (יום העצמאות, לא?).

יש פרס מאד שווה (הייתי שמחה לו יכולתי להשתתף באתגר בשביל הצ'אנס לזכות בו), אז אפשר לנצל את ההזדמנות ולהעלות עבודות על יום העצמאות שלנו!

A mini album for a new born - Simply Create challenge

We have a new challenge at Simply Create - A Special Day (birthday, wedding, etc.).

I made this mini album for a new baby boy. I made it out of toilet rolls.

I didn't decorate the tags, so the family can put whatever photos they wish on those tags.

It was really fun to make it and I enjoyed it very much. I love the outcome.
