A Blue-Green Happy Birthday

It has been a very busy week for me. My dear sister's big birthday (did you see what I've made for her? I just love it!) and then I had my son's birthday (it's the same day....). yesterday we had his party with his friends from school, and I'm so exhausted, but he enjoyed so much! he got a lot of presents, and all evening he and his little brother opened them and played with the new games. it was really touching to see their joy and how they played together.

I've made this card for one of our family's friends, to give him on his coming B-day. Since it was

made for a boy- no flowers, no lace, no sparkle or glitter... LOL. but is sure fitts the spring  - we are having such a warm wheather here!

This card is my DT card for simple doodles - a new challenge starting: show a little green, and I hope to see you all there. note that you can use any digi stamp, but if you have a simple doodles' one - we would love to see them (you also have some lovely freebie there)!

The image is a from simple doodles and it is perfect for paper piecing (no, Trish, I did not mix the challenges, I do know that the paper piecing challenge is closed now... LOL).

For the background I tore dp, since that is what Pam asked over 365 cards (Gloria & Rose - see what a gooooooood girl I am? no cheating... halo, halo, where is my halo?...LOL)

The card has a naive look and I like the outcome. what about you?

השבוע הזה היה מאד עמוס עבורי. יום ההולדת של אחותי, ואחריו יום ההולדת של הגדול, ואתמול המסיבה עם החברים מביה"ס. אני מותשת....

בכרטיס הזה השתמשתי בטכניקה של פייפרפיסינג paper piecing. לצורך זה השתמשתי בחותמת דיגיטלית מאד פשוטה, וזה מקל על הגזירה וההדבקה. בשביל הרקע קרעתי כמה ניירות מדוגמים בגוונים שהתאימו לי. וזהו. כרטיס פשוט, בלי פרחים, בלי תחרות, בלי גליטר ונצנצים. כרטיס עבור בן :).

A drawer box קופסת מגירות עם אוצרות

אחותי היקרה חוגגת מחר יום הולדת, אז הכנתי לה קופסא של מגירות עם אוצרות, מלאה בקישוטים מקסימים.

My ds is having her birthday tomorrow, so I made her a "treasure drawer box", filled with lovely embellishments.

I've found two tutorials how to make it: here and here. it is really easy peasy to make it, only the decoration took me hours. still I enjoyed making it and ds was so thrilled when she got it!

It's all about lace... and about love

I decided to try the sketch over mojo monday, and this is my take on it.

I used peach & craft cs, white & pink & certainly celery doilies. I've made the lace flower in the center out of lace ribbon - I sewed over and then I pulled the thread till it became round and I shaped it into a flower and then I stitched over the pink and bashful blue buttons.

I punched pink & craft cs with MS lace punch and adhered them one on top of the other. the two flowers on the right side are BG circles from June Bug favour bag kit , that I just crumpled a bit and adhered flower buttons.

I distressed the edges of the dp by tearing and distress ink and I also inked the pink doily's edges. I stitched all around the dp with two threads - brown and pink (it is hard to see it because they're so thin. next time I should buy me more thick threads). I did some paper piercing on the peach cs, so both of them give a frame to the whole card.

I added big yellow/cream rose with tulle and a few gold and cream tiny silk ribbon roses. On top of the centered flower, I added a silver pin with tiny blue beads, and some shimering pink pearls on the laced cs.

Well, it sure isn't a CAS card... LOL , but I've made it to a very dear and loved lady, who celebrates a big birhday real soon. I only hope that she will not read my blog the next few days, so this card will surprize her on her B-day...

Petal shaped birthday card

The challenge on day 3 at 365 cards was to create a petal shaped card. actually the headline of the challenge was "fancy folds", and I was thinking to myself, well, I can cheat a little here (wink, wink) and post some of my "fancy folds card, like for example:

But then Pam made it very clear, on the chat box. that it must be a petal card to match the challenge. She also permited me, kindly, to cheat if I wish, or more precise - she said she can't stop me from cheating... LOL. Oh, well, Pam sure has her way to force those strict rules, and the first lady of rebel (i.e. G.) said it too early for cheating (what are we waiting for? day 258? LOL), so I did this card with great pleasure! (thanks, Pam, for holding me from cheatin. it was easy peasy to make it, and it fitts perfectly for a good friend of mine, who celebrates her birthday).

The template is from here - the pentagone petal one.

I used a dp with flowers and glittered dragonflies on it, and I inked the edges. then I stamped the inside - the petals with flourish stamp and in the middle - sentiment and small flowers. I adhered tiny rhinestones. Outside  I tied a lavender ribbon (in the photo it looks white or even pink' but I promise you - it's lavender...) and added a shimmering fiber butterfly and that's it!

באתר של 365cards האתגר אתמול, שישי, היה כרטיס בתבנית של עלי כותרת. את התבנית לקחתי מכאן (יש שם תבניות מקסימות, והשתמשתי כבר בעבר בכמה מהן. ממש מומלץ), וזה היה קלי קלות להכין את הכרטיס הזה, עם מעט מאד זמן. השתמשתי בנייר מדוגם בצבע סגול, עם פרחים ודוגמא נוצצת של שפיריות. את הקצוות שלו המעוגלים לכלכתי בדיו, ובפנים החתמתי על כל עלה כותרת עם חותמת של מערבולות פרחוניות, וגם את הברכה במרכז. הוספתי אבנים מנצנצות קטנטנות, סרט מבחוץ ועל הקשר שלו הדבקתי פרפר נוצץ מבד. וזהו.

הכרטיס הזה ממש התאים לי ככרטיס יומולדת לחברה טובה שחגגה יום הולדת לאחרונה.

A pink touch of spring and a mini candy alert

The upcoming weeks are full of birthdays, my kids', family's, friends' - all around. I've made this card for my best friend's 2 years daughter, and it's so girly... well, it's good my son's birthday is next week, so I'll be making some boyish card real soon.
The image is a sarah kay frome a free colorong page (don't remember which one), and I used the basic mask technique.
and the efect goes perfectly with the dp.
The flowers are self made out of polka dots dp, with pearls and a button.

A mini candy alert!
The next few weeks I have some good reasons to celebrate. First, next week will be my eldest's birthday, a month ahead will be my youngest's birthday, and in the midlle, at the end of March, will by 1/2 a year since I started blogging, and I'm reaching 10,000 hits on my blog!
Now, isn't all that make a real good reason for mini candy? LOL sure it is
I will put some scrapy goodies. It will be for followers (so you can start now, so you won't miss the candy...), and I will ship internationaly, so everybody is invited.

את הכרטיס הזה הכנתי ליום הולדת שנתיים של הבת הקטנה של חברתי הטובה ביותר.
הדמותהיא מתוך אתר של דפי צביעה, בחינם, שאינני זוכרת איזה בדיוק (יש רבים כאלו ברשת, אם רק תקליקו בגוגל את השם "שרה קיי") בצביעת הדמות השתמשתי בטכניקת המסכה באופן הבסיסי מאד שלה: החתמתי פעמיים את הציור, כשאחד מהם משמש כמסיכה ואותו הדבקתי עם מסקינגטייפ על הראשון. עם דיו תכול טופפתי מסביב בחלק העליון, ועם דיו ירקרק בחלק התחתון, ואז הורדתי את המסכה, וכך נוצר הרקע הכחול-ירקרק. אח"כ צבעתי את הדמות עצמה בעפרונות צבעי מים. התוצאה מאד מוצאת חן בעיני, ונראה לי שאתחיל להשתמש קצת יותר בטכניקה הזאת.  האפקט שנוצר משתלב היטב עם הנייר המדוגם.

את החותמת הדבקתי על מפית תחרה ורודה, ובמפית זהה בצבע ירוק בהיר השתמשתי כמצע לפרח האמצעי, אחרי שקיווצ'צתי אותה ויצרתי מעין עלי כותרת במעגל.

בשבועות הקרובים יש לי סיבות למסיבה. בשבוע הבא חל יום ההולדת של בכורי, ובחודש הבא - של הצעיר. באמצע, ביניהם, בסוף החודש תעבור חצי שנה מאז התחלתי את הבלוג הז, ותוסיפו לכך שאני מתקרבת ל-10,000 כניסות לבלוג שלי. אז נכון שיש לי סיבה למסיבה? או לפחות לחצי מסיבה...

Well, 365 cards reached the end of the first year. 365 days and cards are behind (not that I made even half of it... LOL), and I'm looking forward to the next 365 cards Pam and the great DT will create.

Thank you Pam, and the DT members, for challenging our abillities , sometimes out of our comfort zone (actually - always out of it...). I got to know this challenge blog some time after I started making cards, and for some months I could even catch up with the challenges. But even lately, when I craft much less, I still come to look from time to time, ane whenever I can, I join the fun.#

and for the last day, the 365 day, Pam gave this sketch. and here is my take on this sketch. I took some liberties, but I'm not the only one... the minute I saw this sketch, I just knew I want the flourishes on the left corner.

Since I just finished the pink vintage family card, I was in this vintage style mood, so I went on with it.

I decided on easle card because it is so elegant and different. a tutorial is here.

I distressed the off white cs and inked it with brown ink. adhered red tiny pearls on the flourishes, which are clear dollar set I've won. I used one of my dryer sheet flower, and adhered a red glittered rose to it and some green leaves underneath.

I added a cream lace that gives a fancy edge to the card when closed, put a red button with twine in the center. the sentiment is a stamp I won long time ago.

I added two shining butterflies and two tiny red roses next to the sentiment.

באתר 365cards הסתיימה השנה הראשונה, 365 כרטיסים, והמדהים הוא שיש שם שתי נשים שאכן הכינו את כל האתגרים! האתגר ביום האחרון, היום ה-365, היה סקיצה. כשראיתי אותה מייד ידעתי שאשתמש בחותמת של המערבולת שזכיתי בה פעם. קישטתי בסיומת של המערבולות עם פנינים אדומות קטנטנות (שונאת להדביק אותן!), ובפינה הנגדית הדבקתי את אחד מפרחי נייר המייבש שלי, עליו הרכבתי גם פרח אדום נוצץ. משני הצדדים הדבקתי פרפרים מנצנצים, והוספתי מתחת סרט תחרה במראה ענתיק.

את הכרטיס הכנתי ככרטיס עומד (הנה הדרכה איך לעשות), כי יש לו מראה מאד אלגנטי ושונה.

לנייר האוף-וויט עשיתי טיפול של יישון, שכלל הפעם גם קצת שריפת קצוות (ניסיתי טיפונת, בפעם הבאה אולי אעיז יותר), הרטבת הנייר עם מגבון וגלגול ואח"כ יישון עם דיו חום). בפנים הדבקתי כפתור אדום עם חבל ואת המסר קישטתי עם שני פרחונים אדומים קטנטנים.

תודה שהקדשתם זמן להסתכל על הכרטיס שלי, ואולי גם להשאיר תגובה.

אני מתכננת בקרוב מיני בלוג קנדי לכבוד 1/2 שנה לבלוג שלי וכמעט 10,000 כניסות, אז תשארו בסביבה לקפוץ ולהתעניין :).

A Vintage Pink Family

A relative of mine gave birth to a baby girl a few weeks ago, so I've made this card for her.

I recycled a package of something I got, I even don't remember what, and that is the wavy craft cs. Also I used Pink music notes cs (also for the butterfly), pink lace ribbon, green leaves ribbon, silk riboon tiny flowers, flowers with tulle, 3 small buttons, 3 black pearls for the butterfly's body, 3 pink pearls, and I used gold stickles on the big pink flowers and on the butterfly. The image is a freebie from Pollycraft (you should really go and grab them, Paula has lovely digis, and she gives one freebie every friday).

I teared almost every edge on this one and inked it to get the old look...you can't see it, but the edges under the image and the lace ribbon, are also torn. also i drew some faux stitching around the image with glitter brown gel pen.

I just love this color combo of pink, green/olive & brown/craft.

I didn't do much vintage cards, but I think I'm starting to fall in love with this style...

את הכרטיס הזה הכנתי לקרובת משפחה שלי שילדה לפני כמה שבועות בת.

לא הכנתי הרבה כרטיסי וינטאג', למרות שתמיד התפעלתי מכרטיסים שכאלו. לאחרונה יצא לי להכין שניים-שלושה בסגנון זה ופשוט התאהבתי. אז ניצלתי את ההזדמנות להכין כרטיס בסגנון הזה.

השתמשתי בקרטון גלי שהיה בעבר אריזה של משהו שאפילו אינני זוכרת מה :). בנוסף השתמשתי בנייר ורוד מדוגם של תווי נגינה, ממנו גם הכנתי את הפרפר שבפינה הימנית העליונה. שני דפים אלו עברו 'התעללות' בקצוותיהם (גם אלה שמתחת לדמות ולסרט התחרה, רק שלא רואים זאת), עם מגבון לח והרבה מעיכה וגלגול עם האצבעות. אח"כ יישנתי אותם עם דיו חום. סרט התחרה הוא בגוון ורוד עתיק, כך שהוא השתלב יפה עם כל המכלול.

להחתמה הזאת (חינמית באתר של pollycraft) יצרתי מסגרת מסולסלת והוספתי תיפורים בעט ג'ל בצבע חום נוצץ. את הכל הדבקתי על נייר חום משרדי וגם הוא עבר טיפול של קריעת הקצוות ודיו (הפעם אדום).

על הקרטון הגלי הדבקתי סרט של עלים בצבע זית והוספתי בקצוות פרחים ורודים על מצע של טול, ועל גבי העלים הדבקתי פרחים קטנים עשויים מסרטי משי, וכפתורים. לגוף הפרפר הדבקתי 3 פנינים שחורות קטנטנות והוספתי גם 3 פנינים ורודות.

הוספתי קצת סטיקלס זהוב על הפרחים הורודים הגדולים ובקצוות של הפרפר. הכיתוב הוא אותיות ראב-און.

שילוב הצבעים הזה - ורוד, ירוק/זית, חום/קראפט - מאד מאד מוצא חן בעיני ואני חושבת שאני מתחילה להיות מכורה לסגנון הוינטאג'... במזג האוויר הסוער מאד ששורר פה בימים האחרונים, זה היה כיף מאד להכין את הכרטיס הזה, במיוחד אחרי תקופה די ממושכת שלא יצא לי להתפנות לכך.

פורים שמח! Happy Purim

It's Purim doday so we bring "mishloach manot" to each other. I made one that my oldest gave to a girl from school, and this is the card that goes with it.

The masks digi is from Dulemba.com and I paper pieced with olive dp & pink dp, and that is for the new challenge on simple doodles - paper piecing. I distressed the edges & inked with green ink. Then I drew faux stitches on the pink cs and on the brown cs with gel pens.

I inked the doily lace and the flower digi is from simple doodles, on a polka dots dp, with red pen all around.

The polka dots ribbon is pale pink, but it doesn't show on the photo, and it looks like grey or off-white.

The sentiment is rub-ons.

פורים לנו חג שמח :) זה החג האהוב עלי מכל, מאז ומתמיד. הילדים התחפשו, ולמעשה כל השבוע יש באז סביב החג. כל יום משהו אחר (מי אמר "לא כל יום פורים"? :)).

ביחד עם משלוח המנות שנמסר לילדה בכיתה, הכנתי גם את הכרטיס הזה.

חותמת המסכות המקסימה היא חינמית מ- dulemba.com, וחותמת הפרח על מפית התחרה היא מ-simple doodles.

את חותמת המסכה הדפסתי כמה פעמים - על נייר מדוגם ורוד ונייר מדוגם בצבע זית והדבקתי (האתגר שמתחיל היום ב-simple doodles הוא paper piecing). עשיתי יישון לקצוות (מספרי זיגזג + דיו ירוק), וגם לקצוות של הנייר הורוד שמתחת. קצת תיפורים עם עטי ג'ל, מפית תחרה שגם היא עברה טיפול בדיו, פרחים מסוגים שונים וסרט (שבמציאות הוא ורוד בהיר מאד, אבל בתמונה יצא לבנבן). הברכה כתובה בראב-און. אהבתי את שילוב הצבעים של זית וורוד עם נגיעה של חום.

ועכשיו לעונג שבת של מנוחת צהריים, כשבחוץ סוער כל כך... :)
