A birthday card with a green butterfly

For today, I have a rather dramatic birthday card to share.

Th florish stamp is an oldie one from Blue Fern Studios. I think I have it for more than 10 years, and I haven't used it for ages. I stamped it in VersaFine onyx black ink.

The flower is MFT Brilliant Butterflies stamps and dies set. I stamped it in distress oxide inks - rustic wilderness and twisted citron, and again onyx black ink.

I also stamped some dots in twisted citron ink, and added two glittery enamel dots in dark green.

I double matted the stamped panel with black cardstock and with a white cardstock, which I inked with the distress oxide rustic wildeerness (and so I did for the horizontal stripe at the bottom.

The sentiment was stamped on a citron cardstock with Pinkfresh evergreen ink.

Wishing you well card

We are at war since this morning.

One of the Weekly Fav

I'm really not in a mood for crafting. This card was already made last night, and I'm posting it only now.

It was inspired by the colors in The Color Throwdown:

And by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

Autumn colors card

One of the Top Picks

As soon as I saw the current challenge at Color Throwdown, I knew I just can't resist those colors! So so beautiful.

I used several distress inks and distress oxide inks - aged mahogany, spiced marmalade, dried marigold and festive berries, with leaves stencil (Creative Impression).

I cut the leaf steam (SSS) from a golden cardstock, and put some of the cut leaves back inside, adhering it to the colored panel.

I die cut a small tag for the sticker sentiment, and added a red twine, and adhered it to the panel.

I then matted the panel with an orange cardstock and adhered it to the maroon basis.

Challenges:

Freshly Made Scktches #602:

AAA Cards #248 - add a tag:

I loved the colors and the autumn leaves on the street.

Birthday Wishes in green and yellow

I loved both the color challenge at Color Throwdown, and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, so I combined them into my birthday card.

I stamped the flowers using two yellow inks, so I got a tone on tone look. The center of the flowers were stamped with blackk ink. I die cut them with the coordinate dies (Papertrey Ink Pop-up Florals set).

I stamped the sprigs,on a white cs, using two different SU stamps set (Heavenly Hollyhocks and Sending Smiles), in mint and dark green.

I then aranged the flowers on top of the stamped sprigs, using foam dots for the bigger flower.

I stamped the sentiment (SU Sending Smiles), and adhered it to the flower and the panel.

I matted the white panel on a dark green cs, and then adhered it on the white basis.

For the final touch, I adhered some mint dots.

It also goes for the 'Garden' challenge at Addicted to CAS:

A butterfly card, in some earth tones - CTD meets FMS

The colors suggested by Wanda at The Color Throwdown # 720 were very appealing to me - kraft, copper, sage green and black:

I used these colors for a non-traditional butterly stamping (MFT 'More Brilliant Butterflies' stamp set), I used Lawn Fawn pizza crtust and sage leaf, and I must say - I really love how it came out!

For the desgin, I followed the sketch from Freshtly Made Sketches #563, given by Jen B:

I loved how the circle is cut by the frame and not full.

I die cut a doily from a black cardstock, and topped it with some circular die cut in kraft. I adhered it to the white panel, with some of the doily going out of the edge, and cut the excess.

On top of it I adhered the stamped butterfly with foam tape and added a glittery copper enamel dot in the middle.

I think that the cut doily and the off the edge butterfly gives the card a bit of an interest, don't you think?

I stamped the sentiment (Mazal Tov in Hebrew) in sage, and added some more glittery copper enamel dots.

The white panel was double matted with matching colors cardstocks and adhered to the white basis.
