Totally Happy

I finally got to make a non-DT layout, and when I looked for inspiration, I immediately turned to Scrap Africa :), with this lovely sketch, drawn by Densie:

I was also inspired by the SWAK challenge at Scrap Our Stash (mostly red, faux stitching, washi tape, arrows and kraft), and the challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking, which asked to use a photo of a loved one ( I used my youngest's photo, and he is sure a very loved one :))...).

For this layout I used my Feb Counterfeit Kit, and added some gears chipboards from Creative Embellishments, which I left on their natural look. I also added a couple of Studio Calico's wood arrows. I cut the clock face chipboard using TH die, and painted it with gesso and distress stain. The faux stitching are Prima's stamps

סוף סוף הצלחתי להכין דף שאיננו משימה של צוות עיצוב, והפעם ל-3 אתגרים שונים. השתמשתי בקיט החיקוי החודשי שלי, והוספתי צ'יפבורדים מחברה די חדשה מארה"ב, וחיתוך של שעון בעזרת ידידי הטוב הביג שוט.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, עליז ומאושר, בגן השעשועים בגן גורו, לפני כמעט שנתיים.

Grow - lo for Scrap Our Stash - November's challenge

The challenge at Scrap Our Stash for November is a sketch challenge. You can choose one of the 3 sketches provided there, all made by the talented Helen Croft. I chose sketch #3:

The photo is of my youngest, at a trip we've had 3 years ago.

I've kept this lo quite simple this time, with very few embellishments. I made the fence out of popsicle's sticks that I inked with distress ink, isn't it just lovley?

Looking at this lo once again, I mark myself to do more journaling. I tend to write very little on my lo, and after all journling is the best way to really preserve the memories.

באתר של Scrap our Stash, בו אני אחת מצוות המעצבות, האתגר החודשי בנובמבר הוא להשתמש באחת מ-3 הסקיצות שסופקו בבלוג (אפשר גם, כמובן, לעשות יותר מדף אחד ולהשתמש ביותר מסקיצה אחת...).

אני בחרתי לעשות את סקיצה מס' 3. הפעם השארתי את העיצוב די נקי (יחסית אלי...), עם  מעט קישוטים. את הגדר הכנתי ממקלות ארטיק אותם מרחתי בדיו דיסטרס. מה דעתכן על התוצאה? אני אוהבת את הגדר הזאת מאד.
