Winter sun - CSI case file no. 343

I've been MIA for very long time, due to some health issues, but was able to make this layout for CSI Case File no. 343:

 

I used all 5 colors from the scheme. For my evidence I used: woodgrain background, winter-themed embellishments, snowflakes, lacing, string, wood, trees, hearts, tringles, chevrons and grid design (the blue paper for the matting has a gentle grid pattern).

I documented a boat sailing in Nantes, two years ago. It was freezing on the boat, but the winter sun poped here and there, and warmed us a little.

Such a Doll lo

This is me, I think at the age of 3 years old or something like that. I'm hugging Ossi, my fav doll at that time, on Mother's day celebration at the kindergarten.

Being a mom of 2 boys, I don't make pink, romantic, vintage lo too often, or at least not as much as I would have done if I had a girl at home...

For a long time i wanted to make a lo full of flowers, lace, pink, girlie, etc. The fab sketch over A2Z scraplets was perfect with all those layers.

And I used things you have at home, sort of recycling. The corrugate paper was a delivery package I got from the gorcery. I rubbed it with a wet daster and then peeled the topping, so the corrugated part was revealed. Then I painted it with a mix of acrylic paints.

On the brown flowery dp I spilled some coffee... yep, coffee. It gave a deeper brown shade to the dp.
The green flower was made out of used dryer sheet, inked with green ink. The leafs underneath the white flower are from clear transparency sheet, also inked with that green ink. I crumpled them, and so they got the "veins" on them. I love them, and I thing they match perfectly the organza dress I'm wearing on the photo.
The title is partly from chipboard letter I just won over paper niche, and I painted the letters with that acrylic mix paints and then I spread some glittery nail polish. The other part of the title was made out of a frame clear stamp (inkadinkadu), and stamped with AC letters stamps.

I love the multi layers of this lo, and the shabby/ vintage look of it.

 כאמא לשני בנים, אני עושה מעט מאד דפי אלבום "נשיים", עם הרבה פרחים, תחרה, ורוד וכיוצ"ב. כבר מזמן רציתי לעשות דף כזה, עם כל האווירה הנשית הזאת. לקחתי תמונה שלי מגיל 3 בערך, מחבקת את אוסי, הבובה המועדפת עלי אז (וכן, אני ממש זוכרת אותה :)), בחגיגת יום האם בגן (אתן זוכרות שפעם עוד היה "יום האם"? לפני שהפקיעו אותו מהאמהות לטובת "המשפחה").

השילוב של צבעי ורוד, חום ונגיעה קלה של ירוק, הוא בעיני אחד השילובים הכי יפים שישנם. הוא נותן אווירה כל כך וינטאג'ית (אם כי אני בקלות יכולה לראות איך אפשר גם לעצב איתו דף מאד לא וינטאג'י).

הקרטון הגלי ששימש בסיס לכל הדף הוא מאריזה של משלוח מהסופר. הרטבתי עם סמרטוט רטוב את אחד הצדדים, וכך היה קל לקלף את השכבה העליונה שהיא חלקה, ולחשוף את השכבה הגלית. מאחר שהאריזה הייתה ממש גדולה, יש הרבה קרטון גלי חום עכשיו בבית :), אז כנראה שבזמן הקרוב תראו הרבה יצירות שלי עם הקרטון הזה..

צבעתי אותו בצבע אקרילי ורוד וקרעתי אותו מכל צדדיו (בהנאה מרובה, אני חייבת לומר. ממש כיף להתעלל כך בדפים).

הפס התחתון, עם הריבועים הקטנים, היה שימוש עד הסוף בכל מיני שאריות דפים מדוגמים ששמרתי. הפס הזה הופיע כך בסקיצה המקורית, ואחרי שעשיתי אותו, מצא חן בעיני הקונספט (בכלל אני נהנית ממה אפשר לעשות מכל השאריות הקטנות שנשארות אחרי כל החיתוכים. אולי בקרוב פוסט "מיצוי שאריות").

גם דף מייבש הכביסה זכה לעדנה מחודשת אצלי. טופפתי עליו עם דיו ירקרק, וליפפתי רצועה סביב עצמה ליצירת "השושנה". בדיו הירוק הזה גם השתמשתי על נייר פרגמנט וממנו יצרתי את העלים מתחת לפרחים הלבנים. התעללות בעלים הללו ע"י קימוט מסיבי שלהם (אבל זהיר - הדף נשבר די בקלות), הביא למראה ורידי של העלים.

ובמסגרת אוירת המיחזור, גם התחרה שמתחבאת היא ממוחזרת - מתוך גופיה ישנה שזרקתי (אבל קודם הורדתי ממנה את התחרה, כמובן...).

ממש נהניתי להכין את הדף הזה. בתמונה הזאת הדימיון בין הבן הצעיר שלי לביני הוא פשוט אדיר, אלמלא השמלה, אפשר להתבלבל :) (אני יודעת, הפנים מטושטשים, אז פשוט תצטרכו להאמין לי :)). אני מקווה שגם אתן נהניתן להסתכל בדף הרב-שכבתי והעמוס הזה.

Scraplift & Capture the Moments lo

It's time for a new 'friendly challenge', and this time Tesa gave me a challenge to scraplift one of her own layouts, and do it 'my wise', that was the request.

The tough part was to find only one of Tesa's lo's. I just love them all, so how can I narrow it to only one?!

Finally I decided on this one:

As it says in Sinatra's song: "I did it my way"... LOL

I turned opposite the colors, and flipped the sketch a little, and a few more changes, but I believe you can still see Tesa's origin.

The photo is of my DM, about 14 years ago (!), when we, along with one of my sisters, had a lovely vacation at Santorini, Greece. The relaxation mom had there, is captured within this photo, and so is the title for this lo.

 הדף הזה הוא על השראה - הוא למעשה העתקה (scraplifting) של דף מעוצב שהכינה Tesa, וזה היה האתגר שהיא נתנה לי - להעתיק דף שלה, לנסות לתפוס את הסגנון שלה, עם הטאץ' האישי שלי.

בתמונה מצולמת אמא שלי בסנטוריני, בחופשה משותפת שהייתה לנו לפני כ-14 שנים, וגם זאת השראה.

השתמשתי פה בצבע אקרילי - מסגרת לדף כולו, לדפים שמתחת לתמונה ולאותיות של הכותרת; חרוזים על הבאנר בכותרת, בלינג של פרימה, תחרה, קרטון גלי מאריזה, פרפרים מסול שציפיתי בדיאמונד גלייז ואבקת נצנצים, חותמת פרפר של יוניטי, פנינים וחבל. מסביב לכל הדף תפרתי עם חוט רקמה.

You dare me to lo - Spring Blossom

My sister encouraged me to start making lo. A dear friend from blogland, Tesa from Tesas Scrap promised to hold my hand and guide me, and her fab work , cards and lo, is a real inspiration for me. Also I learned a lot from an Israeli great scraper, The Crafty Fairy, who not only brings gorgeous works, but also explains her work in details, step by step.

So I just jumped into the deep water... and here it is.  Have a look, and be gentle with me, it's my first lo....

The photos are from a journey we took 2 years ago to a place called "Cyclamens Hill". It's a magical place, a hill filled with cyclamens all around.

I used the fab sketch Ann gave as a challenge. I trimmed one photo with lots of trees and cyclamens into two pieces (the right one and the left lower one), and also I trimmed a photo of us sitting on a path up on the hill, surrounded with all this blossom.

I did pink matting to all the photos. The contrast of the pink matting to the colors of the photos and the cs, made the photo pop up.

I cut the green dp so it will look like grass and adhered it on top of the two lower photos. and then i spread diamond glaze on the trimmed part of the dp and then put green glittered powder above, so it gets the shimmering look. also it gave a darker shade of green to the "grass".

The title was made by me from baby pink foam and I added some red stickles on it. The title says: "Spring Blossom", even thoug the photos were taken on the end of February... well, here the end of February is the beginging of the spring...

I hand stitched all around with double thread (thanks to the crafty fairy, who showed it on her blog...), so it gives a lovely frame to the lo.

I did some faux stitching all around, in free doodling, and adhered small rhinestones in the circle doodling.

I'm not very pleased with the handwriting above the photo (it's writen the place and date of our journey), and there is a lot I should learn from it, but it's done...

I tried to follow the visual triangel rule I've learned about here, but I'm not sure I really succeede in doing so.

זהו דף אלבום ראשון שעיצבתי! הכל בזכות עידוד מאסיבי של אחותי ושל חברה וירטואלית, והרבה בעזרת התבוננות ולמידה מעבודות של יוצרות מוכשרות (למשל פיית המרציפן, שלא רק שמעלה עבודות מדהימות, אלא גם מפרטת את תהליך העבודה אחד לאחד, כך שמתחילה שכמותי יכולה ללמוד כל כך הרבה. תודה רבה!).

התמונות הן מטיול שעשינו לגבעת הרקפות ליד גלעד לפני כשנתיים. לקחתי תמונה אחת של טבע בלבד וחתכתי ממנה שתי חתיכות. מתמונה נוספת, שלנו יושבים על שביל מוקפים בהררי הרקפות, חתכתי רק את קטע שלנו. לכל החתיכות הללו עשיתי מאטינג ורוד. הניגודיות של הורוד לקארדסטוק הכהה ולצבעי התמונות גרמה לתמונות עצמן "לקפוץ" החוצה.
את הנייר הירוק המדוגם, בצבע דשא, גזרתי בקצה אחד עם מספרי צורות, כך שיתקבל מראה כמו של דשא. מרחתי דיאמונד גלייז ועליו פיזרתי אבקת נצנצים ירוקה, כך שהתקבל מראה נוצץ לדשא (רטוב מגשם?...) וגם גוון נוסף של ירוק, כהה יותר.  ואז הדבקתי על גבי שתי התמונות התחתונות, כך שה"דשא" משתלב עם התמונות הללו.
מסביב תפרתי ביד עם חוט ורוד כפול (עצה שיישמתי מהבלוג של פיית המרציפן על הוספת רקמה לעבודות). בציור חופשי הוספתי בעט ג'ל לבן תיפורים חופשיים שיצרו מעין מסגרת נוספת, עד לפרפר. הוספתי אבני חן שקופות כל מעגל של הציור החופשי. 
הפרפר הזה מצוי בקופסת קישוטי הפרפרים שלי, והוכן בזמנו מנייר שעליו הדפסתי תווים, וגזרתי לפי דוגמא, בשני גדלים שונים, כשהקטן מודבק על הגדול ונותן נפח לכל הפרפר. לפרפר הוספתי גם סטיקלס בגוון אדום ואבני חן שקופות בגוף.
את הכיתוב הכנתי בעצמי מסול. אפשר להכין את האותיות מהמדפסת הביתית, אבל הפעם העדפתי ליצור אותן ממש ביד חופשית, בלי הדפסה מראש וכיוצ"ב. גם על אותיות הסול הוספתי סטיקלס אדום, כי הן נראו לי חשופות ודורשות תוספת (לכתחילה חשבתי  לצייר סביבן בטוש כהה).
אני לא ממש מרוצה מהכיתוב ביד של המקום והתאריך. אני עוד צריכה לחשוב איזה לקחים אני מפיקה מזה, אבל בכל מקרה לא רציתי בגלל הכיתוב הזה לזרוק את כל הדף לפח....

אז זהו, צללתי לתוך המים העמוקים, ונראה שלא טבעתי... :) אפילו נהניתי. זה יהיה מאד נחמד להכין מידי פעם דף מעוצב לאלבום, ולאט לאט להכין אלבום יצירתי שינציח רגעים יפים בחיינו.

אז תודה שקפצתם והקדשתם זמן להסתכל בדף שלי, ובעיקר שהייתה לכם סבלנות להגיע עד כאן... LOL
