חודש חדש, עם קיט חיקוי חדש :).

הפעם יש טוויסט בקיט החיקוי. אפשר לבחור את הקולקציה המועדפת עלינו מאלו שיצאו במהלך שנת 2012, ולחקות אותה עם החומרים שיש לנו בבית.

יד על הלב? הפעם היה לי קשה להכין את הקיט, ולו רק בגלל שהיו כל כך הרבה קולקציות יפות שמצאו חן בעיני. החלטתי ללכת על הקולקציות הסתוויות, ואז התחיל הקושי הגדול, כי בדיוק הגיעה ל-Xmix הקולקציה של Jillibean Soup עליה פינטזתי. ברור שהיא כבר אצלי.... הפיתוי היה גדול, פשוט לקחת אותה ולהשתמש בה, אבל עמדתי בפיתוי הזה בגבורה ובכל זאת ניגשתי למלאכת הרכבת הקיט מהחומרים שכבר היו לי.

ראשית - רשמתי לי את הצבעים שמככבים בקולקציה (ירוק, חום, תכלת, כתום, אדום, צהוב וקרם). אח"כ מיפיתי את הדוגמאות (משבצות, עץ, פרחוני, פסים, נקודות ו-plaid). בהתאם בחרתי דפים מדוגמים והוספתי להם קארדסטוקים בצבעים תואמים. בסוף התהליך אספתי קישוטים תואמים, וחלקם הכנתי בעצמי.

יש לי רעיון להשתמש בקיט הזה כדי להכין מיני אלבום סיכום לשנת 2012, אבל מן הסתם אשתמש בו גם להכנת דפי 30X30 מעוצבים. יתכן שגם אכין קיט משלים ועוד קישוטים, הכל בהתאם לקצב השימוש במה שכבר יש.

יצא לי קיט שאני מאד אוהבת. מה דעתכן? בחודש שעבר היו שתיים שנדלקו על הרעיון של קיט החיקוי וגם הכינו והשתמשו בו. אני מקווה שהן נהנו ושהן יצטרפו גם החודש. יש עוד מצטרפות? הפעם הבחירה של החיקוי היא לגמרי שלכן....

חודש חדש משמעו קיט חדש לחיקוי. הפעם לא מאד התלהבתי מקיט ההשראה, והיה לי די קשה לבנות את קיט החיקוי שלי, וגם ממנו אני לא ממש מתלהבת.

מצד שני, גם את החודש הקודם התחלתי עם חוסר התלהבות, ובכל זאת הכנתי כמה דפים מהקיט, כך שיש סיבה לאופטימיות זהירה.

הכנתי גם כמה תגיות ג'ורנלינג וכמה כפתורים במראה של עץ עם החחתמה.

September Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop

As inspiration kit for this month, we have August 2012 kit from Bird Of A Feather.

As a twist, we were asked to counterfeit at least 3 items from the last summer CHA. I really liked the idea, cause I saw many many items I would love to have, and till I have them (hopefully...), I can just counterfeit some of them :).

Usually, my counterfeit kits are very big, with many dp and cs and loaded with embllishments, many of them handmade by me. But this month my counterfeit kit is a little smaller in size - less dp, less cs and less embellishments.

This month is full of Jewish holidays, including New Year, and we'll be spending most of our time with family and friends, so I won't have much time for scrapping, and smaller kit is a good idea :).

I was inspired by colors and patterns. What I really like about these papers, is that most of them have B side that I like and can use.

CS and embellishments:

I took different colors for my cs, in colors that I know I will work with. Once again I didn't add any flowers to my kit. Last months I also didn't put any flowers, and thought I'd have some handmade flowers while working, but eventually I ended up with no flowers on my layouts, all month along. I'm not sure what will happen this month, but I already knowI will add some alphas (English and Hebrew).

I made a new set of kraft journaling tags, according to my own tutorial here.

As for my CHA summer 2012 items:

I counterfeited Maya Road kraft envelope, Maya Road gingham fabric tapes, Simple Stories Memorabilia pockets, My Mind's Eye crocheted doilies and My Mind's Eye jouranling tags.

עם הגיעו של חודש חדש, הגיע הזמן גם לקיט חיקוי חדש. הפעם קיט ההשראה היה לי אתגרי לחיקוי. אין לי אף אחד מהדפים שבקיט ההשראה, והלכתי על גוונים ודוגמאות דומים.

הפעם קיט החיקוי שלי קטן יותר (יחסית, הכל יחסי...). פחות דפים מדוגמים, פחות קארדסטוקים ופחות קישוטים.

בעניין של הקישוטים החודש יש לנו טוויסט קטן - היינו צריכות לחקות לפחות 3 פריטים מתערוכת CHA האחרונה שהייתה בקיץ. אני חיקיתי מעטפת קראפט של Maya Road, סרטים דביקים של אותה חברה בדיגום בד משבצות, מיני כיסים וינטאג'יים של Simple Stories (פריט מדליק, ומאד קל לביצוע), מפיות קרושה של My Mind's Eye, ותגיות ג'ורנלינג של אותה חברה.

אז מה אתן אומרות? מצטרפות לפרוייקט?

I know CKC is all about using our old stash, and not buying new one, and I really didn't buy anything for my counterfiet kit, but it just happened that I recived my order a few days before we got the mail with our inspiration kit for July, and I already had half of the dp in the kit...

נשאלתי כמה וכמה פעמים איך אני מרכיבה את קיט החיקוי שלי, אז הפעם צילמתי את שלבי ההכנה, כדי להסביר. אמנם כל הרעיון הוא להשתמש בחומרים שיש כבר ולא לקנות חדשים, אבל הפעם, באופן מקרי, יצא שזמן קצר מאד לפני שהודע לי מהו קיט ההשראה, קיבלתי הזמנה שעשיתי, ובה דפים מדוגמים וקישוטים של MME, שבחלקם זהים לאלו שבקיט ההשראה והאחרים מאותן קולקציות, אז יוצא שהקיט שלי החודש הוא עם חומרים יחסית חדשים.

I've been asked several times how do I make my counterfiet kits, so I've decided that this months not only I'll show you my kit, but also would explain how I've made it.

Like I said before, I had some of the dp in the inspiration kit, so I started with them:

Then I added more dp from MME, trying to match them to the others by colors and patterns:

For my main kit, I tryed to stay as close as possible to the inspiration kit, i.e. same no. of dp and cs; similar embellieshments; etc.

הפעם, בשונה מפעמים קודמות, הקפדתי להישאר קרובה לקיט ההשראה ככל האפשר, ז"א הלכתי על אותו מספר של דפים מדוגמים וקארדסטוקים, על סגנון דומה של קישוטים וכיוצ"ב.

Now it's the turn of the cardstocks, similar to the ones on the inspiration kit, but not the exactly the same:

The embellieshments - first, the alphas:

אני לא ממש מרוצה מהאותיות שהוספתי לקיט, ואני כנראה אשנה/אוסיף במהלך החודש.

I must say that I'm not pleased at all with my alphas for this kit, and I reserve the right to use some of the alphas from my June's counterfeit kit, or add others from my stash.

Other embellieshments: since my order included MME stamps, layered stickers, so I've put them in my kit, as they go along perfectly with my chosen dp:

מאחר שבהזמנה שלי היו ממילא חותמות של MME וסטיקרים שלהם, הוספתי אותם לקיט, כי הם כבר תואמים את הדפים המדוגמים בהם בחרתי.

את מפת השולחן החלפתי בדוילי'ס, שזהו פריט שהוא הכרחי מבחינתי בכל קיט שלי. הוספתי גם צ'יפבורדים של MAYA ROAD (אוירון, מזוודה ומכונית). דף הכפתורים מורכב בחלקו מכפתורים קנויים, ובחלקו מכפתורים שהכנתי בעצמי (קלי קלותה, אגב). כמה כפתורים במראה וינטאג'י, דף מספר ישן, סרט צהוב/זהוב וחוט בצבע תואם לקיט. הוספתי גם וואשי טייפ תוצרת בית.

I didn't have table linen, so I replaced it with white doilies, one of my 'must have' products for every kit. I've put MR chipboards (plane, suitecase, car).

Some of my buttons are homemade, from scraps. I really liked making them, and I will sure make more of this kind of embellisment.

For the washi tape, once again I used 'homemade' one - long stirpes scraps became my washi tape.

I also made an add-on kit, with more cs, dp and embellishments, 'On a hot sunny day':

June Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop

This months we are having Alison as our guest designer. You should really check her blog, cause she's super talented lady.

This month's challenge was not to counterfeit certain kit, rather building YOUR OWN kit, according to the following:

10 sheets patterned paper (all 8 pp are from EP This & That Charming collection)

8 sheets cardstock (mix of AC, Bazzill, Jillibean Soup and untitled ones)

2 alphabets (working in two languages, I allowed myself to put more alphas, in English and in Hebrew)

2 stamp sets (Kaisercraft & My Mind's Eye)

4 journaling spots (once again I've made my own journaling spots!)

3 TYPES of "misc" embellishments (so people can pick their favorite item like ribbon, or border stickers or silk flowers) (mine are: flowers (lots of them), chipboards and stickers. the chipboards and the stickers are also from the EP collection)

1 roll washi tape (Vintage Street Market tinted tape - aged)

1 OLD item/embellishment (like eyelets or fibers or chipboard) (mine was lots of lots of ribbons... really old stash that need to be used!)

1 Messy item (paint, stickles, embossing...) (TA glimmer mist chalkboard - Peacock)

1 surprise item of your choice! (doilies! can't have a kit without them)

I kind of cheated on this one... I built my main kit and my add-on kit based on Echo Park 'This & That Charming' collection. I just loved the colors and the patterns and had to use it.

So there you are, my "Oh, that charming boy!" kit:

I've added 3 cardstocks and 3 pp (again, from This & That collection), some border strips and more ribbons, flowers, chipboards and alphas (the english ones are lilybee design, Buttercup collection, with the very same colors as my kit). I didn't put buttons on my kits, but I will add them while working on my layouts.

הכנתי גם קיט תוספת, ובו עוד 3 קארדסטוקים ו-3 דפים מדוגמים מאותה קולקציה, כמה רצועות בורדר, תוספת של פרחים, סרטים וצ'יפבורדים.

לא הכנסתי כפתורים הפעם, אבל אני בהחלט אוסיף אותם תוך כדי העבודות עצמן.

אני מאד אוהבת את הקיט שלי החודש ורק מקווה שיהיה מספיק זמן כדי להשתמש בהכל....

אז מה דעתכן להרכיב לעצמכן גם כן קיט שכזה? או קטן יותר? אני יכולה לספר לכן מהניסיון שלי בחודשים האחרונים שכאשר יש קיט מוכן, שהכל בו תואם, העבודה מהירה ויעילה יותר. ותחושת הסיפוק האדירה שהכל בנוי מחומרים שממילא יש בבית.

Gentle Breeze - May Counterfeit Kit Challenge

This month we have a beautiful kit inspiration from Studio Calico, called City Of Lights. Oh, how much I love Paris, city of lights :). For my counterfeit kit, I took inspiration from the main kit and the add-on kits. My inspiration was kind of mix&match - colors, patterns, embellies, etc. Aftere gathering all the supplies, I really love the subtle colors, with a little touch of vibrant colors. It gives a gentle breeze feeling, isn't it?

On this kit I have cs and dp from American Crafts; DCWV; Basic Grey; October Afernoon; Fancy Pants; Lilybee Designs; Jillybean Soup.

I've made some of the supplies my self - the rose dp was made with a napkin; I've made my own kraft tags (here's my tutorial how I've made them); lace edged envelopes (both white and manila); kraft flags; stamped fabric titles; faux washi tapes (again - with a tutorial I've made).

I also made an add-on kit, with coordinates colors. I added some cs and dp, but mainly built my kit on supplies I challenge myself to use, cause I tend to neglect them - dp from 8x8 and 6x6 pads (Basic Grey; Lilybee Designs; Webser's Pages; My Mind's Eye), and chipboards. I also added the 'must have' for me - ribbons and doilies.

חודש חדש, עם קיט השראה חדש לחיקוי. בקיט שיצרתי, ההשראה הייתה מין ערבוב של הקיט העיקרי והקיטים הנוספים, לקחתי קצת מפה וקצת מפה, ויצרתי את הקיט שלי, שנתן לי תחושה של משב רוח עדין, עם הצבעים היחסית שקטים שלו.

בקיט התוספות החלטתי לאתגר את עצמי ולהשתמש בניירות מדוגמים מתוך סטאקים קטנים בגודל, וגם זרקתי לתוך הערימה הרבה צ'יפבורדים מהאוסף הגדול שיש לי. אני נוטה לשכוח מקיומם של אלה, והגיע הזמן להשמיש אותם. הוספתי גם כמה דברים שהם קבועים אצלי - סרטים ומפיות תחרה, ועוד כמה קארדסטוקים ודפים מדוגמים.

חלק גדול מהקישוטונים שבקיט העיקרי הוכנו על ידי - המעטפות עם גימור התחרה; הדף המדוגם עם השושנים; תגיות הקראפט (ההדרכה להכנתן - כאן); דגלוני הקראפט; וואשי טייפ (עוד הדרכה - כאן); והחתמת התגיות של הבדים.

בחודשיים האחרונים השתמשתי בהמון חומרים ששוכבים אצלי, הכל בזכות הרעיון של קיט החיקוי. אני מקווה שגם החודש הקרוב יביא לשימוש רב בחומרים קיימים.

אשמח מאד אם כל זה יהווה לכן השראה ותצטרפו גם כן. תעשו קניות, רק שהפעם תעשו אותן באוסף הפרטי שלכן. זו הרגשה נפלאה!

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop for NSD plus a RAK

Did you enjoyed the hop till now? The CKC really outdid themselves with the challenges for this hop.
My challenge for you, should you take it, is 'Stamp It!', i.e. use stamps on your layout, at least 3 different stamps. You DO NOT need to use your counterfeit kit for this challenge, unless you wish to.
Edit (after reading Lisa's comment):
If you rarely use stamps on your lo, and you're a little afraid to destroy the whole lo, how about stamping on a separate cs and then adhere it to your lo?
If you have very few stamps, how about using digi stamps? print them, color them, add them to your lo. There are many freebies on the web.

Here's my example for this challenge:

I used 4 different stamps, or should I say 3 different stamps and one 'homemade' stamp: on the right upper corner; on the lower right side of the photo, just above the flower; the journaling tag was stamped and cut (here's my tutorial how I've made the kraft tags); I also stamped with bubble wrap, under the photo and the flower. Here are some close-ups:
