Precious Memories (Platform 9-3/4)

Is it August already?! time flies....
The new case file (challenge) at CSI is all about traveling:
Although the inspiration photo was screaming 'Summer', my layout is rather Autumnly one, photos of my youngest taken at Platform 9-3/4 in Kings Cross station London.
We had such a blast there! We went to the shop after we've been to the Harry Potter's Studios and since we arrived to the studios a bit late, we didn't have time to shop there, so we went to the Harry Potter Shop!
While we were queuing, the shopper run a trivia test. My son knew all the answers and won a nice prize! Then we took our photos 'running' into the wall. It was so much fun!
I used all 5 colors from the scheme. For the evidence I used: stripes, grid pattern, gingham pattern, postcards, travel themed elements (I just LOVE this trunks stamp!), a clock, cursive font, a camera, a ribbon, vintage themed elements, borders (doodled border around) and triangles.
My journaling is about our visit there. I placed it on the tag, to be pulled with the ribbon.
I used Laura Whitaker's sketch for July sketch at MCS:
I love working with Laura's sketches!

Magic - case file no. 294 at CSI

Happy Sunday to all my crafty friends! after a very long summer vacation it's time to get back to routine.
And a new month means a new case file at CSI - case file no. 294. Here's the inspiration photo:
The color scheme reminded me of the colors of Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse photos from our visit at Disneyland Paris, so I took one photo of me & the mouse and one of me & Mini...
I used Laura Whitaker's fab sketch for MCS:
I used Simple Stories papers and embellishments, mainly from Say Cheese II collection, and added some Echo Paper papers.
I used ALL the clues from the evidence: grid pattern, ledger pattern, papers with a graphic pattern (circles), school-themed elements (the pencil that holds the title), camera, metal (the brads and the eyelet on the tag), buttons, brads, layers stickers (handmade - the cloud), geometric shapes (circles and rectangles), dimensional letters (chipboards letters), a string, a clip, frames, used a pen to draw outlines.

I wrote my journaling on a lined paper and used the inspiration word 'Back to'... I wrote about going back to childhood memories and charcters.

#Summer - CSI case file no. 285

This is my take on case file 285 at CSI, with this inspiration photo:
At the begining, I didn't like the photo and the colors, but then I thought I'd give it a try, using my June Counterfeit Kit, and voila!
This is how I solved the case: I used all 5 colors (that was the real challenge!). For the evidence - stripes, flowers, trees, sun, a bird, feathers, wet medium, camera, vellum, a bow and buttons. I documented our visit to the kangaroo park years ago.
I use Laura Whitaker's fab sketch from My Creative Scrapbook:
Along using my kit, I added the oval frame and the hashtag title - chipboards from Creative Embellishments.
I covered them both with white gesso. For the frame I used Lindy's spray Fuzzy Navel Peach 3 times, and then I inked here and there with Ranger's embossing ink and used Lindy's ep - Byzantine Bronze. The title was heat embossed with Lindy's Sunset Yellow Orange ep.
I also used Lindy's Frosty Forest Green spray to splatter here and there.
Here're some close-ups on the details:

I would like to enter it also for June challenge at Creative Embellishments:
I was inspired by most of the colors in the image, the summer atmosphere and the sun.

This life is pretty amazing - art journal

Hello dear crafty friends,
Lindy's Gang has a beautiful subtle color challenge this month, which I really like, so I've made an art journal, using their awesome products.
I started by giving a good coat of white gesso, and then added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil:
Next, I added Mad Hatter Mint spray, dilluted it with water:
I wanted another shade of green, so I added Aloha Avocado spray, and againg dilluted it with water:
Now it's time for some stamping, with different shades of gray and black inks, using Finnabair's stamps and 49 and Market Pascale's stamp:

Stamping a sentiment, using Stamper Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp, with Ranger's Arcival ink Jet Black:
I die cut some leaves from a watercolor paper, and heat embossed it with Merry Go Round ep:

I also die cut some more leaves and colored them with Pop Rock Purple flat spray, and stamped some flowers with gray ink:
Then I made my design with all those colored die cuts:
I also die cut other shape of leaves, and heat embossed them with Silver Moon Sapphire ep:
Splattering around with Magnolia Magenta Gold shimmer spray, adhering dew drops and enamel dots for the flowers center, and adding some silver micro beads, then doodling a frame all around:

And that's the final result:

Inspired by the sea

Case file # 148 is up at CSI, with gorgeous layouts by the Guest Designers and the DT. Here's case file #148:
And this is my take on it:
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all colors are here. with the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio papers, it was so easy to match the papers with the right colors.
Evidence - flowers, branches, watercolors, tags, strings, pen work.
Testimony - I love the seaside very much. it calms down, inspire and I can spend hours by the sea. so this is what my journaling is all about. I wrote is in a kind of a recipe and used the IW inspiring.
I used the sketch and theme of this month's challenge at Once Upon A... Sketch:
I was also inspired by the current challenge at Scrap Around The World, with this beautiful inspiration moodboard:
I was inspired by the flowers photo, with some of the colors (yellow, pink, pale green and cream).
All pp, stickers and stamps are from 7 Dots Studio. Chipboard is from Creative Embellishments and the flairs are Studio40Fourteen's.
Here are some close ups on the details:
