Is it September already?! this year is just flying...

Anyway, a new month means a new challenge at CSI - case file no. 330:

This is how I solved this case file:

I used all 5 colors;

From the evidence I used: text patterns, school-themed elements, clips, washi tape, gold, bows, sequins and hearts.

The photo if of my eldest, on his first day at school, but the journaling is from today's point of view, as he graduated school last July!

The title says: Hello, Frist Grade!

A splitted card - just for you and 3 challenges

I love the design of split cards, so I was drawn to the sketch at Sunday Stamps challenge blog:

I loved the pastel spring colors at CAS Colours & Sketches:

For this card I used items from several companies - the pink paper is Carta Bella 'Flower Market' collection; the flower stamp is My Mind's Eye, inked with Ranger's archival ink; the washi tape is from unknown manucaturer; the dew drops are Robin's Nest. I really mix 'em up, for the challenge at Little Red Wagon.
It also goes for the 'Spring moodboard' at Simonsays Wednesday challenge.

Live, laugh, love - a midori style traveler's notebook

For a while I've been wanting to make myself a midori style traveler's notebook, and our coming vacation was the trigger to do it. 

I've used my June Counterfeit Kit for it, mixing all kinds of papers, note cards and embellies. For the cover I used a thin foam and adhered a pp to it. 

I've made two mini notebooks as inserets - one for the planning of the vacation and one to document it.

One notebook was binded with staples, while the other one by sewing. I prefer the staples as binding.

I used elastic cord for the spine and to close the whole TN.

So Fab - June Counterfeit Kit Challenge

June counterfeit kit challenge is based on May 2019 Hip Kit Club:

I was inspired by some of the colors, the whimsical feeling, and by some of the patterns (florals, stripes, watercolor strokes). I also wanted to use 6x6 papers and scraps I've had for very long time.

So here's my kit - So Fab:

First - 12 x 12 papers:

Add on - papers - craps and 6 x6 papers:

Embellishmet - lots of stickers, tags, ephemera, journaling cards:

And I also counterfeited some of the items in the inspiration kit - I've made a vellum paper with gold embossing:

 tags, labels and circles:

foam embellies, this is my fav on this kit - I stamped on a white thin foam, and backed it with double sided tape, and so I have my own 'puffy' embellies:

I made some watercolor style strokes, and two rainbows, using some Lindy's Gang sprays on a watercolor paper, and also made some vellum phrases, using Lindy's embossing powders:

And here's my full kit, all packed and ready to use (I sneaked in some enamel dots and washi tapes):

I'm already working on my first project from this kit, and hope to finish it no later then Sunday :).

Let it Snow - Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge Feb 15th reveal

I'm so happy that Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is back and I was so thrilled when Anne invited me to return to the DT. 

The new challenge is a sketch challenge:

The photo was taken about 2 years ago, on a snowy day. We thought we had a lot of snow then. how little we knew... LOL cause this year we've had a very big snow storm here.

I used my Feb Counterfeit Kit, with some gesso, Studio Calico's Mr. Huey's mist, a Prima stamp, Studio Calico mask and TH distress ink.

I also used some of my new Creative Embellishments' chippies. The title was painted with gesso and distress stain, and then I used emobssing powder, a stamp and perfect pearls. The small snowflakes were painted with gesso and distress stain and some glitter powder.

I just love CE chippies! they're so easy to use and so beautiful, plus my order arrived so quickly! I think it was one of the quickest I've ever had.

דף שהכנתי כחלק מצוות העיצוב ב-Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, לאתגר סקיצה. הסקיצה פשוטה אבל מוצלחת ומאפשרת פרשנויות רבות.

השתמשתי בחומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש פברואר, והוספתי מיסטים, ג'סו, חותמות, מסיכה ודיו דיסטרס. בנוסף השתמשתי גם בצ'יפבורדים חדשים שהגיעו אלי ממש לאחרונה, מחברה חדשה בארה"ב. הם מאד מוצלחים ונוחים לעבודה. על הכותרת עבדתי עם ג'סו, distress stain, אבקת אמבוסינג, החתמה ו-perfect pearls. הצ'יפבורדים של פתיתי השלג הקטנים נצבעו בג'סו וב-distress stain, ומעל פיזרתי אבקת נצנצים.

Drago (Bakugan)-Sketchabilities #102

A new sketch at Sketchabilities, #102, and a fun one :). For this lo, I used a photo of my youngest, about 1.5 years ago, on Purim, when the kids wear costumes. He was a great fan of Bakugan and Drago was one of his fav images. As Purim 2011 ended, he decided that a year later, he wants the Drago costume, and so he got it.

I used some old papers I've had for ages - DCWV, Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon, Lily Bee Design, and old book pages. But on the other hand, I also used some newer products to create my mixed media background - Prima's stamps, a Stampers Anonymous stamp, Mr. Huey's mists, Ranger TH distress inks, washi tapes, baker's twine and gesso.

סקיצה חדשה ב-Sketchabilities, ושוב בסגנון מיקסד מדיה.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, בפורים לפני כשנה וחצי, מחופש לדראגו (אחת מהדמויות של בקוגן). כבר שנה קודם לכן, משהסתיים פורים, הוא הודיע שזו התחפושת שהוא רוצה לשנה הבאה, וכך חסך לי גם כסף וגם טרדה בשנה שלאחר מכן :)) (לקנות תחפושות באפטר פרטי של פורים מוזיל עלויות בגדול).

הדפים בהם השתמשתי הם עתיקים ביותר ובלתי שמישים בד"כ, אבל כאן הם התאימו לי לצבעים ולאווירה הכוללת של הדף - DCWV, קוסמו קריקט, אוקטובר אפרטנון, לילי בי. השתמשתי גם בדפים של ספר ישן, עליהם מרחתי ג'סו עם מברשת יבשה. ברקע גם הוספתי חותמת מקושקשת של פרימה ושל סטמפרס אנונימוס. אגב, רואות את התפרים בדף? הכל אחיזת עיניים... זו חותמת תיפורים של פרימה, אחת מתוך הסט הזה. סט חותמות נפלא לשימוש מגוון. ממש מומלץ.

כמה השפרצות של מר יואי היקר, באדום ובשחור, ומשחקים עם וואשי טייפים, בין היתר וואשי טייפ של הפילם שהוא פשוט מוצלח מאד (נדבק הרבה יותר טוב מאשר הוואשי טייפים האחרים).
