So Amazing - Stuck?! Sketches Oct 15th reveal

Another post of mine, again with a DT project. this time it's a lo for Stuck?! Sketches new sketch challenge. here's the beautiful sketch, drawn by the talented Laura:
And this is my take:
Fetured at Berry71Bleu

As you can see, I didn't use the hexagon shapes at all. instead I used leaves for my background and stamping, as you'll be able to see in the 'start to finish' video right at the bottom of my post.
For this lo I was inspired very much by the October moodboard at Berry71Bleu:
I really loved the rustic feeling and the color combo, and made my layout with this inspiration.
Another challenge I was inspired by was the current challenge at Frosted Designs, which is fall colors, ink and bling. I have all 3 of them on my lo :).

Siblings

This is my take on the August sketch challenge at Berry71bleu, with this beautiful sketch, designed by Sandra:
I used my August counterfeit kit and did a lot of mixed media techniques on the background and the clock die-cut chipboard - gesso, mists, distress inks and distress stains, embossing powders, rub-ons, stamping in different hues of black/gray, TCW stencils with ink and modeling paste. love how my background turned out. I also used a StudioFourteen40 flair.
I would like to enter it also for the stamping challenge at Frosted Designs.

Small Gifts

Sharing my take on Aug challenge at Once Upon A...Sketch, with this beautiful sketch and awesome theme to journal about the men in our lives:
The photo is of my darling boys, and the title says, in Hebrew: Small Gifts. it's the title of very beautiful Israeli song, and I used the lyrics for my journaling. In free translation it says: "Small gifts, someone sent me small gifts, shards of light, circles of faith; Small gifts, someone sent me small gifts, like the strength to accept what we don't have, what we have. what else can I ask for."
I also goes for the chevrons challenge at Frosted Designs.
I used my Aug Counterfeit Kit, with StudioFourteen40 flairs, Petaloo flowers, and Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst and magical. I also used Cheery Lynn Design doily die.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Smiles - case file no. 134 @ CSI

We have a beautiful summery palette at CSI, along with a fab sketch by talented Em Stafrace.
I used my Aug Counterfeit Kit for this lo:
Edit: one of the Top 3 at Frosted Designs!

AND one of the Fabulous Five
For August at Counterfeit Kit Challenge

The clues I used to solve this case file were:
Scheme - all colors are here.
Sketch - checked.
Evidence - sun, ribbons, metal, circles.
Testimony - IW smile. hidden journaling on a tag - on one side I wrote some of the lines from an Israeli song named "Smiles", and it says, in free translation: "If the sun rises and it's a new one every morning; if the flowers just smile to the world; if there's a laughter rolling to the sky - so why don't we laugh with everyone else? You should learn from the flowers, not to be miserly with smiles, and the world, you'll see' will be suddenly so good; You should dream and hope, try just once; You should laugh, should live, should love". on the other side of the tag I wrote: "In these hard times of a war in Gaza, going on for almost 4 weeks, I want to remind myself how good it is to laugh, to love, to live. Your smiles, on a joyful  day in Eilat, warm my heart and encouriging me at this unpleasent period".
Here's the song (based on a French song):
I used papers from EP and MMe; die-cuts are from Fancy Pants, along with a circular chipboard; sun wood vener is MR, and so is the paper clip; buttons are from MME; the flair and the vellum tab and dot are from StudioFourteen40. I also used some modeling paste, Portfolio oil pastels and some Ayeeda's mist.
I would like to enter it also for the following challenges:
August challenge at Creative Embellishments, with this inspiration photo:
(I was inspired by the orange/yellow colors and by the wavy design of the inspiration photo, which reminded me rolling laughter, plus my title is the name of the song).

Escape from the daily routine

Edit: On the Watch List

Today I'd like to share with you my take on case file #105 at CSI, and for some other challenges.
Here's case file #105 at CSI, with the fab sketch drawn by the talented Em Stafrace:
Here's how I solved the case:
Sketch - checked (I skipped the banner between the title and the small photo, but otherwise kept very close to the sketch);
Scheme - all 5 colors are there;
Evidence - circles, stars, stitching;
Testimony - I used the inspiration work 'Escape' both for my title and for my journaling (on the hidden tag), which says: "Routine can be so tiring. day after day - work, household duties, taking care of the kids, same supper, same place, same things.
Sometimes I just want to break away, but it's so  hard to do. Instead, I put some groceries in a basket and off we go the sea side. Playing with the waves, building sandcastles, eating on the mat, having lots of fun. This is my kind of escape from the daily routine, my very needed escape."
I guess most of you, moms, can realate to my journlaing, isn't it? :)
I was also inspired by the moodboard at Scrap Around The World:
My first inspiration was the beach theme, and the sand on the right upper photo. I was also inspired by the bouquet in the basket on that photo and by the cluster of tea cups, layered one on top of the other.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

The flourish chipboards were painted with Portfolio oil pastels and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The small frame (Imaginarium designs) was also painted with Portfolio oil pastel and heat emobossed with honey embossing powder, the same as I used for the stars on the background.
I matted the photos with a recycled item - a package of Hebrew alphabet set, so it also goes for the recycling challenge at Scrap Africa, and since the matting is with polka dots pattern, it also goes for the polka dots challenge at Frosted Designs.
The flowers were made with Die-Namics dies.
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog. Your comments are much appreciated.
Fancy Pants.
תודה שקפצתן לבקר וכמו תמיד אני שמחה לקרוא את תגובותיכן.

Gift X 3

Edit: Top 3 at Frosted Designs

Star Witness at CSI!

This week's case file at CSI has a wonderful sketch by Emma Stafrace and a beautiful pallete. Here's case file #102 from CSI:
After having a snow storm all week, half the time with no heating except one electic heater, I wanted something sunny, warm and pleasent for my layout. So no gesso, modeling paste, mists, etc. this time!
The photo of my sons was taken about 1.5 years ago, on a trip to the Dead Sea.
My clues to solve the case were:
Scheme - all 5 colors used.
Sketch - changed it a little to fit my one rectangle photo, but otherwise kept it pretty close to the sketch.
Evidence - a bird, gold accents, dots, leaves, small dots, circles, solid background.
Testimony - my  journaling is on 2 hidden tags, with the tiny green brads and tiny orange leaves, underneath the pp. I used IW 'give', 'love' & 'true' (truly) and I wrote about a figurative gift X 3: the gift of life I gave my two sons, the gift of pure happiness they give me, and the gift I gave each one of them, having a sibling:
"On a certain point of my life, after failing to find my 'Prince Charming', I decided to give myself the greatest gift of all - to give birth to you. I gave you the gift of life, and you give me, each and every day, the gift of happiness. Immediately after giving birth the first time, I knew I would have another child. Even though you both always fight each other (and breaking my heart with that!), I truly and strongly believe that I gave each one of you the gift of having a sibling. I know that deep in your hearts you know that too. I love you always and forever. Mom."
It also goes for the 'my favorite things' challenge at Frosted Designs (love that song!) - I used roses, brown papers, string (baker's twine), cream colored cs, wings (the bird).
I used Echo Park papers, Purple Pumpkin fabric buttons, AC brads and foam alphas, skickers (long forgotten!) and flowers from my stash.
Here are some close-ups on the details:

Thank you for taking the time and visitng my blog. I appreciate every comment you care to leave me.

In Grandma's Arms - a lo and a sneak peek

This is my last layout as a DT member at Frosted Designs, since I stepped down the team (and my other DT's).
This my take on Karin's beautiful sketch:

The photo is of my elsdest, in my mom's arms when he was 1 week old. So precious :)). Here are some close ups on the details:

I'm also entering this lo for the following challenges:
lace it up - truly scrumptious
anything goes - scrapbook sisters
use a lot - fussy and fancy
scallops - scrapfit (I used a big doily with scallops and all my crochet flowers are with scallops and they all make a scallop frame)
little boy - sandy's #5 challenge

And here's a sneak peek to a new lo I've been working on:

TFL!
