Together despite different directions

This is my take on case file #87 CSI plus the sketch challenge at Stuck?!. This is acutaully one photo of my boys at the seaside about 18 months ago, that I cut into two seperate photos.

My clues to solve the case:

Scheme - all 5 colors are here.

Evidence - map print, transportation accents, travel accents, flags, mist, word stickers, arrows.

Testimony: inpiration word - direction(s). my journaling, on the hidden tag to the right, says: "Brothers, so similar and yet to different. one is calm and easy going while the otherone is jumpy and hot tempered; one is calculated and needs to know everything ahead, and the otherone is spontaneous and loves surprises. You share lots of intrests, but each one of you goes in his own direction. My wish for you is that you will always be together, despite the different directions you take. that's what family is all about."

With this lo, I challenged myself NOT to use a white cs for the background. I think the whitewash for the background, along with the hotair bloon rub-on and the splatters of mist - all give some airy feeling to the page. And I pat myself on the back for using pink on a boys' layout... LOL

דף חדש שהכנתי עם תמונה של הבנים מלפני כשנה וחצי בחוף הים. התמונה נחצתה לשניים, כדי לשרת את הרעיון בבסיס הדף - ביחד למרות הכיוונים השונים.

את הדף הכנתי לפי סקיצה של !?Stuck של ראשית חודש ספטמבר ועבור האתגר המשולב ב-CSI. בדף הזה איתגרתי את עצמי להשתמש בקארדסטוק כהה עבור הרקע, ולא בלבן/בהיר כמו שאני עושה בד"כ. אני חושבת שלמרות הכהות של דף הרקע, הצלחתי להעביר תחושה אווירית וקלילה עם המריחות הלבנות ברקע, הראב-און של הכדור הפורח והשפרצות המיסט. מפיות התחרה נחתכו, כמובן, עם ידידי הטוב הביג שוט. ומה אתן אומרות על השימוש בצבע הורוד בדף של בנים? :)))

My 7th lo with my Feb Counterfeit Kit, using Feb sketch from Artful Delight. Here's the sketch:

The photo is of my boys, wearing  their costumes, 3 years ago.

I've kept it very true to the sketch. 

As for the chipboards (banner & gears), I used black acrylic paint, black and clear UTEE, and Perfect Perals. I love the way they turned out.

באווירת פורים, הנה דף עם הילדודס בתחפושות, בפורים שלפני 3 שנים. זהו הדף השביעי שלי מקיט החיקוי של חודש פברואר. הייתה לי תמונה גדולה, כך שהסקיצה הפשוטה התאימה מאד.

כקישוטים השתמשתי בצ'יפבורדים (שרשרת דגלונים וגלגלי שיניים), עליהם עבדתי עם צבע אקרילי שחור, UTEE שחור ושקוף ופרפקט פרלס. אני מאד אוהבת את התוצאה שיצאה עם הצ'יפבורדים.

Making a Statement

This lo was made with products from my January Counterfeit Kit. The inspiration was from case file #54 at CSI. This time, as part of the case file, there was also a sketch, drawn by the talented Emma Stafrace:

The photos are of my youngest, when he was 16 months old. At that time, he only crawled. He's a very determined boy, as one can see immediately from the expression on his face in these photos.

The clues I've used to solve this case were:

Scheme - use all 5 colors;

Sketch - see above. I lowered the banner to the bottom of the title, and for the circles I used the inner part of a 3-D foam adhesive to stamp with Mr. Huey's.

Evidence - ticket, polka dots, music pattern, mixed media background, string.

Testimony - the journaling, handwritten on the ticket under the big photo. I wrote about my boy's determined personality. An opptional creteria for the journaling was to be inpired by a song title/lyrics. I think that Frank Sinatra's song, "I did it my way" is the perfect inspiration for my journaling :))). My boy has certainly his own unique way and he sure does everything his way.

דף שהוכן מחומרים של קיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר, לאתגר משולב של סקיצה/צבעים/אלמנטים/ג'ורנלינג  ב-CSI. 

התמונות הן של צעיר הבנים, כשהיה כבן 16 חודשים. באותו זמן, הוא עדיין רק זחל. הילדון שלי מאד נחוש בדעתו, בעל דעות מוצקות ועומד על שלו. אני חושבת שההבעה שעל פניו בשתי התמונות בדף הזה מאד משקפת את האישיות הזאת שלו. השיר שהכי מתחבר לי בהקשר הזה, הוא השיר של פרנק סינטרה "I did it my way". לילדון שלי יש בהחלט את הדרך הייחודית שלו, והוא אכן עושה את הדברים בדרכו שלו, המאד מיוחדת.

This is my take on sketch #82 from Sketchabilities:

The photos are of my boys with me, taken about a year ago.  It was a cold but sunny day on December and we took a trip not far way from our home. The winter theme was inspired by the look I had from my window a few days ago (photo at the end of this post), but I used a warm palette. I love the contrast.

The colors of this lo are based on the inpriation photo from an Israeli challenge blog "Out of the lines":

דף שהכנתי לאתגר סקיצה ב-Sketchabilities, עם השראת תמונה וצבעים מהאתגר של "יוצאות מהקווים". תמונת ההשראה הייתה של טוסקנה, וזה ישר מעורר אסוציאציות של קיץ חמים, עם קרני שמש מלטפות. אז בהפוך על הפוך הכנתי דף עם תמונות של הילדודס איתי בטיול שטיילנו בחרבת בית עיתאב בדצמבר לפני שנה. באותו יום מזג האוויר היה קר למדי, אך בשלב כלשהו של הטיול השמש יצאה וזרחה במלוא הדרה. האוויר היה נקי וצלול, ומראש החורבה נשקף נוף יפהפה של שפלת יהודה.
 זה לא ממש מפתיע שהלכתי על תמונות חורפיות, בהתחשב במזג האוויר ששרר פה בימים האחרונים, ובמראה שנשקף מחלון ביתנו בבוקרו של יום חמישי האחרון:

הדף הזה הוא למעשה מיחזור/עשיה מחדש של דף שהכנתי בעבר, ובדיעבד לא כל כך אהבתי. אולי הפעם הוא ימצא חן בעיני יותר :).

Super Duper Fantastic

The photo is of my boys, 6 years ago, after we had lots of fun in the snow at Mount Hermon. After e went down to the parking, I  had to change their clothes - they got totally wet from the snow :).

דף מדוגם שהכנתי עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי של חודש ינואר לאתגר של סקיצה. 

התמונה היא של הילדודס, לפני כ-6 שנים, אחרי שבילינו בשלג בחרמון. כשירדנו לחנייה, הייתי צריכה להחליף להם את כל הבגדים שנרטבו מהשלג.

השתמשתי בביג שוט לחתוך את הרשת והעלים המסולסלים. את הפס הרוחבי בסקיצה החלפתי בעיצוב של חיצים. זה אחד הטרנדים היותר לוהטים כיום בעולם הסקראפ :).

הכנת דף מונוכרומטי היא אתגר רציני עבורי, אבל זה מה בדיוק מה שאני אוהבת באתגרים - מותחים את גבולות היצירתיות. שיחקתי עם פלטת צבעים של חומים בגוונים שונים, עם סקיצה שדרשה השפרצות.

הסקיצה הייתה פשוטה מידי עבורי, אז העמסתי שכבות כמאטינג והשתמשתי בבאנרים להוספת עניין. ושוב מככב פרח הלבד שהוכן בעזרת הביג שוט. ההכנה של הפרחים הללו קלילה, פשוטה ומהירה והאפקט שלהם מאד מוצלח.

Fall

When I've made my November's Counterfeit Kit, I had a hard time choosing my papers, cause I had so many beautiful that I wanted to include in my kit, and had to decide which will get into the kit and which will remain out.

So when I had the chance to make an add-on page kit, I was so happy. Not that I included ALL the rest of the beautiful papers, but even some of them are enough. I took 2 cs, a few dp and a few leftovers and here's my add-on page kit:

כשהכנתי את קיט החיקוי לחודש נובמבר, נתקלתי בקושי גדול בבחירת הדפים. הפעם, מאחר שחיקיתי קולקציה שאני בחרתי והיא לטעמי, התקשיתי לבחור בין שלל הדפים היפים שהוצאתי. היה קשה לברור ביניהם מי נכנס ומי נשאר בחוץ. 

לכן, כאשר התבקשתי להכין קיט נוסף, קיט של דף אחד, שמחתי מאד. ולא שהכנסתי לתוכו את כל הדפים שנותרו בחוץ, אבל גם מקצתם זה טוב. הכנסתי 2 קארדסטוקים וכמה דפים מדוגמים שלמים ועוד כמה שאריות, ביחד עם קישוטים - והנה הקיט מוכן.

עם הקיט הזה הכנתי את הדף שלי, ובו תמונה של הבכור לפני כשנה.  יש פה הרבה קישוטים שהכנתי בעצמי - פרחי הקרושה, הבאנר של הכותרת (האותיות נחתכו בעזרתו האדיבה של הביג שוט), פרח המניפה/אקורדיון. השתמשתי בשני עלי בד זהובים, שהולכים כל כך יפה עם אווירת השלכת של הדף, וכדי להשלים אותם, הוספתי גם פרפר מנצנץ, שהוכן עם נייר דבק ואבקת נצנצים, כך שהדף גם מתאים לאתגר החדש של "יוצאות מהקווים".

I had some leftovers on my desk from some projects I've been working on lately, and I decided to use some of them for a birthday card so someone who's birthday is in a few weeks. Fall/autumn colors were perfect for this card.

נאספו להן כמה שאריות מפרוייקטים קודמים, והחלטתי לנצל אותן לכרטיס יום הולדת. מאחר שזה מיועד למישהו שיום הולדתו חל בעוד כמה שבועות, בעיצומו של הסתיו, הרי שצבעי שלכת היו ממש מתאימים. 
הרקע הוא בעצם ניסוי שעשיתי עם מסיכה חדשה, ואח"כ השתמשתי בה בדף הזה שהכנתי. מדף הניסוי חתכתי חתיכה מתאימה בשביל הרקע.

הכרטיס הזה, כמו גם אחרים שמידי פעם אני עושה, מאפשר לי להרגיש קצת יותר טוב עם המוני השאריות הקטנות שאני טורחת לשמור. לעיתים אני תוהה מה הגודל המינימלי שמתחת לו, גם אני אשליך את הנייר המדוגם... 

ובקרוב מאד אעלה דף נוסף שהכנתי, אז אשמח אם תשובו ותבקרו בבלוג במהרה.
