Lil Miss(ed) Podi

Here's my lo for 3 challenges: case file #94 at CSi, sketch #253 at Creative Scrappers, and Autumn mood board at Berry71bleu.

I took a photo of my female dog, I used to have long time ago. Her name was Podi, and she and her 'brother' were my fur babies, long before I had my own babies. The hidden ournaling is seen when you turn the photo turns and open the flap with the photo. I documented how I got them from dog shelter, how and why I named her Podi. I also wrote about how cheerful and friendly she was, and how sad I was at the time we had to part. Only the joy of having my eldest, who was born shortly before, eased the pain of the farewell.

My clues to solve the case were:

Scheme - all 5 colors.

Evidence - stack something (many many layers, and the stacked flower on the bottom), black background, silver metal (the heart camera metal clip), woodgrain.

Testimony - typewriter font and I wrote about my pet (but not from it's point of view). I also wrote about the sad ending of our being together.

דף שהכנתי ל-3 אתגרים: סקיצה, לוח השראה סתווי והאתגר המשולב ב-CSI. התמונה היא של הכלבה שהייתה לי במשך שנים. הכיתוב הוא בתוך הדש שעליו מודבקת התמונה, שנפתח כשמזיזים את הסוגר. כהרגלי, זה דף מרובה שכבות. גם כשחשבתי שזהו, גמרתי למקם את השכבות כרצוני, מצאתי את עצמי מוסיפה עוד כמה אלמנטים של שכבות.

Grayish Venice

for case file #83 at CSI

1st layout from my August Counterfeit Kit, made for case file #83 at CSI:

The photo is from Venice, from my traveling to Italy, 18 years ago.

Venice is very special, some people love this city, and some just dislike it. I didn't like the city at all... I came there from Florence, which I simply adored, so the disappoitment was big. I really didn't like Venice and the morning after my arrival, I just got out of town and went to the lakes in north Italy.

I used #96 sketch from Sketchabilities:

The clues to solve the case were: 

Evidence - stripes, punches, jewels, tags/labels, stamps, circles.

Testimony - the joranling tag is a Prima stamp. I stamped it and fussy cut around and then adhered it on a piece of cork, and matted it with a scrap of diagonal stirpes. On the cream tag, behind the photo, I wrote about my traveling to Venice.

את הדף הזה הכנתי לאתגר ההשראה ב-CSI, ובחרתי לעבוד עם תמונה שצילמתי בונציה, בטיול לאיטליה לפני 18 שנים. הגעתי לונציה אחרי פירנצה, עיר שבה התאהבתי. את ונציה, לעומת זאת, ממש ממש לא אהבתי. עד כדי כך, שבבוקר למחרת הגעתי לעיר, פשוט תפסתי סירה מוקדם בבוקר ועזבתי את העיר בדרך לאגמים בצפון איטליה. דווקא התמונות שצילמתי בונציה יצאו די יפות...

החומרים בהם השתמשתי להכין את הדף כולם מקיט החיקוי לחודש אוגוסט, וחלקם קישוטים בהכנה עצמית.
אני מעלה את הדף הזה גם לאתגר של יוצאות מהקווים, הפעם לרשימה של עינת - תחרה, פרחים, פרפרים וחותמות.

Handsome boy - a lo

This is my take on July challenge at My Mind's Eye, which was to use blue, red & white on your project. I used the sketch from Paperstories:

I gathered a few of my eldest photos, in no particular order, just fun and lovely photos of him.

I mixed a few MME collections with papers, layered chipboards, brads & buttons. I also used some Mr. Huey's mists and Bigz die-cut for the stars. 

For the title I used MME stamp and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

בבלוג של MME האתגר החודש הוא, איך לא, שימוש בצבעי אדום/לבן/כחול, ברוח יום העצמאות האמריקאי. השתמשתי בחומרים של MME מקולקציות שונות, כמה מהן די ישנות. יש פה אסופה של ניירות, סיכות מתפצלות, כפתורים וצ'יפבורדים.

מקבץ התמונות הוא של הבכור, בלי איזה סדר או כוונה מיוחדים. פשוט אוסף תמונות חמודות שלו.

Tranquility - a lo

This lo is my take on case file no. 19 at CSI. Almost all supplies are from my May Counterfeit Kit (my 5th lo for May), I added the grayish cs, and the blue matting and the punched starbursts.

The 'clues' I used for the eveidence are: paper rosettes; circles in the design and circular accesnts - buttons, circular journaling spot, stamping with bublle wrap; starbursts; wash effect with gesso. The 'clues' for the testimony are: journal in a circle and the word 'calm'. The photo is of my eldest, looking at the water on one of our travels. The whole scene is of a calmness and tranquility, and in the journaling I wrote about a song I used to sing to him when he was a baby, to calm him, and about my wish for him to always find tranquility.

I used #41 sketch from Frosted Designs, designed by Eli:

I've changed the sketch a little, and used one large photo instead of 3 small ones.

דף מעוצב שהכנתי בעיקר עם חומרים מקיט החיקוי שלי - May Counterfeit Kit. התוספות הן הקארדסטוק האפור, קארדסטוק כחול למאטינג ולפינצ'וצים הקטנים.

הדף הוא לאתגר של צבעים/חומרים וטכניקות/השראה בכיתוב - CSI #19.  הברשתי קלות עם ג'סו, גם על הקארדסטוק וגם על השוליים של הנייר המדוגם, והחתמתי עם ניילון פצפצים. 

אני מאד אוהבת את המראה של פרחי האקורדיון, אבל הרבה פעמים נמנעת מלהכין אותם גם כי הם עתירי התעסקות (לדאוג שלא יקפצו תוך כדי ההדבקה וישארו במראה הרצוי...), וגם כי הם נותנים המון גובה בדף. הפעם הצלחתי להכין אותם יחסית די שטוחים, כי דאגתי שקיפולי האקורדיון יהיו צרים ככל האפשר.

This is the 4th lo with my May counterfeit kit. I used April 27th sketch from BoysRule:

The photo is of my youngest, and the journaling is about my boy's strengths.

I love the contrast between the boyish style and the doilies (the matting and the envelope).
