It's Friday and time for two new challenges. At Frosted Designs our challenge for this week is "Journal Tags", and at Simply Create we have a bi-weekly challenge and this time it's "Wings".
I made a mini album, and used cereal box for the basis. All dp are Bo Bunny's (from Gabrielle's collection, Timepiece's collection and Mama Razzi's collection.
I used a lot of tags and hidden journaling on this mini album. It's all about what happened to us on Lebanon War II, almost 5 years ago. Our hometown was bombed and we run away. We were refugees almost 3 weeks, and finally I couldn't go on like this and came back home, eventhough the bombs kept falling.
My kids were very young - 4 y and 1 year, and my main issue was that they won't feel any stress, so I did anything to make them happy and cheerful, as if we're just having a long vacation. What came to my mind was the movie "Life is Beautiful", not that one can compares between both situation.
So my mini album does look like a long vacation one...
I used here lots of ribbons and trims, chipboards, ribbon flowers, prima flowers, buttons, pearls, die cuts, punches, different types of alphas, stamps, etc......

follow the recipe - catered crop (I used: colors of blue/brown/kraft; embellishments - pearls, stick pins, crocheted lace trim, recycle cardboard; distressing, shabby chic)

מיני אלבום שהכנתי על חוויותינו במלחמת לבנון השניה, כך שהוא גם תיעוד וגם תרפיה. לאחר הההפגזה הראשונה על חיפה, לקחתי את הילדים ועזבנו את הבית. הסתובבנו במשך כשלושה שבועות אצל חברים טובים במרכז. בשלב מסויים כבר נשבר לי מהנדודים, אז חזרנו הביתה, ובעשרת הימים האחרונים של המלחמה היינו תחת ההפגזות :-(. במשך כל התקופה של הנדודים, השתדלתי מאד שהילדים לא יחושו במתח ובדאגה שליוו אותי, כך שעבורם זו הייתה פשוט חופשה ארוכה אצל חברים טובים. לאלף אלפי הבדלות (ובכלל אי אפשר להשוות), אבל האסוציאציה שהייתה לי בראש כל אותה תקופה היא של הסרט 'החיים יפים', איך שהאב בסרט יוצר מציאות מדומה עבור בנו, כדי להסתיר ממנו את מוראות המלחמה.
הבסיס לאלבום היה, כרגיל, אריזות של קורנפלקס. הדפים המדוגמים הם כולם של Bo Bunny, חלקם ממסטיקים וחלקם מ-my punch. האותיות של 'קסם שימושי' ו- 'תוצרת הארץ' ממסטיקים וכך גם אותיות הסטיקרים הקטנות באנגלית. אותיות ה'שבץ נא' באנגלית הן מהמחשב. הוספתי המון קישוטים - פנינים, סרטי תחרה, סריגת קרושה על הדף עצמו, סרטים, כפתורים, פאנצ'ים, ניטים, סיכות מתפצלות, פרחים וכו'...
