If you can dream it - you can do it (art journal)

Honourable Mention
November 2019

This is a new page in my art journal notebook, for two challenges.
The 1st - More Than Words challenge - success plus a key:
When I look back, I realize that the most successful things in my life were things I dreamt about, and then made them happen. So for me 'if you can dream it, you can do it' is the key to success. I also adhered a small key next to the message, to make it stand as my say.
The 2nd challenge is the color challenge from Lindy's Gang blog, with this beautiful color palette:
Here're some close-ups on the details:

Lindy's products I've used:
Moon Shadow Mist: Buccaneer Bronze.
Flat Magical: Caribbean Cruise set (Luscious Lime)
Shakers: Gutten Tag Teal.

Other products:
Prima Finnabair art basics: gesso clear, gesso white, soft matte gel.
Prima Finnabair extravgance: patina effect paste blue.
Prima Finnabair Art Daily stamps: Dream without fear set.
Stampers Anonymous TH stamps: mini motivation set.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments very much.
Ranger's inks: archival ink jet black, embossing ink clear.

The Phantom of the Opera - art journal

An art journal I've made, inspired by two challenges:
The 1st from More Than Words, which asked for a costume and a black background:
My inspiration was the musical The Phantom of the Opera, the first musical I've ever seen, years ago.
I was facinated to the act, could hardly breath, and the music! a fantastic show.
The lyrics of the theme song, captured me- evil and good, combined in one, it's here, it's there, inside my mind....
The 2nd challenge was from SnipArt, with this beautiful moodboard:
Once again - the contradiction between darkness and light, evil and good.
I started by covering a piece of watercolor paper with Finnabair's balck gesso, then I applyed Finnabair's soft matte gel through TH mini stencil. While the gel was still wet, I sprinkled Lindy's Ceasar's Gold ep and heat embossed it.
I die cut geometric shapes and heat embossed it with Lindy's Terra Cotta Rust ep.
I die cut some leaves in two shapes and heat embossed them with LIndy's Tannenbaum Green Gold ep and Starbright Gold Green ep.
I glued everything with the soft matte gell and added the sentiments.

This life is pretty amazing - art journal

Hello dear crafty friends,
Lindy's Gang has a beautiful subtle color challenge this month, which I really like, so I've made an art journal, using their awesome products.
I started by giving a good coat of white gesso, and then added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil:
Next, I added Mad Hatter Mint spray, dilluted it with water:
I wanted another shade of green, so I added Aloha Avocado spray, and againg dilluted it with water:
Now it's time for some stamping, with different shades of gray and black inks, using Finnabair's stamps and 49 and Market Pascale's stamp:

Stamping a sentiment, using Stamper Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp, with Ranger's Arcival ink Jet Black:
I die cut some leaves from a watercolor paper, and heat embossed it with Merry Go Round ep:

I also die cut some more leaves and colored them with Pop Rock Purple flat spray, and stamped some flowers with gray ink:
Then I made my design with all those colored die cuts:
I also die cut other shape of leaves, and heat embossed them with Silver Moon Sapphire ep:
Splattering around with Magnolia Magenta Gold shimmer spray, adhering dew drops and enamel dots for the flowers center, and adding some silver micro beads, then doodling a frame all around:

And that's the final result:

Happy Monday, I'm excited to share with you my creation as a Guest Designer for Art & Soul Studio blog.
I was inspired by the current challenge, which is a bold and beautiful moodboard, and you have to use red:

Here're some close ups:

I also made a video of the creative porcess:

Time not wasted - art journal

Happy Sunday to you all,
I'm sharing an art journal I've made, inspired by the July challenge at Mixed Media Place, with this awesome moodboard:
I was inspired by the old envelopes, with the vintage atmosphere. I was also drawn to the brown shades and the blue colors, so these are the main colors in my art journal.
The envelopes made me think about time, old time, past etc., and how important it is not to waste time blaming ourselved for mistakes we make, rather learn the lesson and keep on mooving.
I love this quote by August Rodin: "Nothing is a waste of time, if you use the experience wisely", and The Thinker photo was the natural choise.
I used some 7 Dots papers from several collection to mat the photo and also the clock (which is a part of the bigger die cut clock behind the photo).

I also did a lot of stamping on the background (7 Dots Studio stamps, TH stamps and Kaisercraft stamps).
The clock die cut was painted with Finnabair metalic paint, and when dried, I covered it partly with two Lindy's Gang embossing powders.

The street lamps were colored by Ranger's archival gray ink, heat embossed with Lindy's Midnight Sapphire blue embossing powder, and finally I rubbed some Finnabair patina effect paste.
To give some more texture to the background, I also used washi tape and Finnabair modeling paste over TH stencil, and added microbeads here and there.
Lindy's sprays were also added (Buccaneer Bay  Blue

Vintage and Tainted Love Teal Shimmer spray).
I adhered the quote, and added splatters with white gesso and Lindy's Bombshel Black Shimmer spray, and my art journal is done.
