Stained Glass Vellum Butterflies card

One of the Fav at

One of the Princesses

A card I made, using the stained glass on vellum technique.

After heat embossing the butterflies with a white ep, I colored them with pink and orange inks and adhered it to a white cs panel, matted with a green cs. The main  white cs panel was also matted, this time with a pink cs, and adhered to a white cs basis.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white ep on the same green cs as the matting, and adhered it to the center panel.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #532:

For the colors, I followed the beautiful color palette from Color Throwdown #689 - using pink, orange and green:

It also goes for the 'Spring' challenge at Time Out #212:

And the 'Signs of Spring' challenge at Seize the Birthday #236:

Hello card, with leaves on the edge

One of the Fav

Happy Holiday to all my crafty friends, be it Passover or Easter!

I have a new card to share with you.

I used SimomSaysStamp Cluster Leaves die and colored the leaves with inks in sage and lavender.

I used SSS detailed Leaf Cluster die on  a blue cs, and layered it on the inked leaves. I really love the look of the framed leaves, and how they're going over the edge.

I adhered 3 die cut flowers and colored them with pink ink, added them on slelected points of the leaves, and then adhered greenish enamel dots for the centers.

To finish up my card I die cut the 'hello' and colored it with the same sage ink.

Challenges:

Festive Friday #FF107 - I used pink, blue and die cut:

Color Throwdown #688 - pink, lavender, sage and blue:

Little Red Wagon #649 - 3 of something. I used 3 die cut flowers and 3 enamel dots.

Butterfly one layered card in yeallow

There's something about the simplicity of a One Layered Card that is very catching the eye. It's a style that can be very hard to use, and it is very challenging for me.

I decided to give it another try, combining it with the retiform technique.

I followed, loosely, the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches #465.

For the rectangle  I put some washi tape in a rectangle shape, and did the lines in verious hues of yellow, in the retiform technique.

I then removed the washi tape, and stamped the butterly (MFT More Brilliant Butterflies set). I stamped the setnitmet in black.

Keeping it OLC meant not adding anything more... ahhmm.. the though part, but I was able to fight the temptation!

I really love how it turned out. So springy and impressive.

You Are So Wonderful - CTD 688 + FMS 531

This succulent stamps were laying for ages in my stash, and I already forgot about them at all, but when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I thought these stamps can be finally used!

And here's Freshly Made Sketches #531:

I stamped and colored them with inks and waterbrush, following the colors from Color Throwdown #688:

It's such a lovely pastel palette!

I adhered a black/white checkered ribbon and underneath a pink pp I die cut. The sentiment was gathered from TH ChitChat stickers.

I then adhered the images, with the centered one raised a little with foam tape. The panel was matted with black cs, and adhered to the white cs basis.

A birthday card - Freshly Made Sketches + CAS Colours & Sketches

Today I would like to share with you a card I made following two challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #530:

And CAS Colours & Sketches #464:

I used a pierced leaves die for the white cs, and matted it with a green cs. I stamped the flower in pink, the stem in green and the leaves in sage. I die cut all the parts and adhered them to the pierced panel. I added glittery enamel dots to the stem.

I adhered the panel to a sage/moss cs.

I stamped the sentiment on a white cs, matted with green, and both cut in an angle, for some interest.

A Top Cup at Sundy Stamps

I stamped some 'paint splatters' with pale aqua distress ink, and added some real gold splatters. I stamped the background of the butterfly with two tones of lime green ink, and the detaild one with black ink. The sentiment was also stamped in black.

I adhered two b/w stripes pp, and added a thin gold washi tape in the middle of each of them.

The pannel was adhered to the white cs basis with foam tape.

A butterflies 'thanks' card, in blue and brown

One of my all time fav color combo is blue hues and brown hues. Usully, it reminds me of seaside and sand, but this time I'm in the 'butterfly mood'...

I blended several TH's disress inks - Broken China, Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers, on a textured white cs. I then die cut 4 stitched squares and mounted them with foam tape.

I stamped the butterfly twice, with Pink Fresh inks - Doe and Warm Buff, fussy cut them and adhered them partially overlapping each other, with foam tape. I then adhered the two of them on the bluish squares with foam tape.

Before adhering the squares and butterflies, I stamped the sentiment with Pink Presh ink Gathered Twigs.

I added a thin stripe of turquoise cs for more interest, and some translucent dots.

It goes for the following challenges:

A steampunk birthday card

The minute I saw the new challenge at Just Us Girls, I loved the colors:

I used simmilar colors a few times lately - HERE and HERE.

I thought these colors can be perfect for a masculine card. After all, masculine cards are always in need.

I also took inspiration from the sketch at Just Add Ink:

My take is a little loose one, but I think you can still see it in my card.

I die cut the gears frame and colored it with TH's distress inks (vintage photo, peacock feathers and spiced marmalade).

I also die cut the sentiment and colored it with TH's distress ink vintage photo, to match the frame.

It also goes for Little Red Wagon, which asked for Masculine.
