Winter mini album

A mini album I've made as a gift. All painted in white acrylic paint, stamped with lots of stamps and very few embellies. I also distressed all edges of the pages and the tags.

There's a place for journaling on the pages and the recipient can add the photos on the white tags.

מיני אלבום שהכנתי כמתנה, עם מקום לכיתובים בדפים עצמם ומקום להכנסת תמונות בתגיות שבפנים.

השתמשתי בהרבה חותמות לקישוט ומעט קישוטים נוספים, וכמובן הרבה מאד יישון עם דיו דיסטרס.

Sweetie Pie @ 1 - #2 lo with my Counterfeit Kit

This is my #2 layout for Counterfeit Kit challenge, and this time for the tag challenge. Everything on this lo is from my counterfeit kit, except AC stamps, stickles and a few rhinestones.

The photo is of my youngest, when he was 1y old. Isn't he a real sweetie pie? :)

A Thank You card and a mimi mini fall album

A thank you card I've made with a little unusual color combo. 

I would like to enter it to the following challenges:

I also made a mini mini fall album, based on this tutorial.
It's a gift, so the recipient will be able to put her photos as she likes.  It's rather small mimi album, but can easily get into your purse. It's a fun project and I really enjoyed making it.

כרטיס תודה שהכנתי לפי אתגר סקיצה ושילוב צבעים ב"שלוש בשלישי". יצרתי מסגרת של הבלטה והקישוטים הודבקו בכמה גבהים.
בנוסף, הכנתי גם מיני מיני אלבום של סתיו,  מתנה שצריכה להישלח מעבר לים. השארתי מקום למקבלת המתנה להוסיף את התמונות לפי רצונה.

My Beautiful Boy

My first lo done with my counterfeit kit.  It's actually a scraplift of Manda Moore's layout at Scrapbook Challenges. Here's Manda's layout:

I used a totally different color combo, but I kept my lo very close to Manda's one. On the corners I worked with a modellng paste and distress crackle paint on a stencil, it gives a lovely texture to the page.

I also made the stand out embellishments, again using distess crackle paint and some glitter on the edges. Here are some close-ups on them:

Another inspiration was the inspiration challenge at Scraptastic - I took inspiration from the fall theme and the banner. I handstitched around the banner.

לאחרונה נתקלתי בבלוג אתגרים שגורם לשימוש בחומרים הקיימים אצלנו ממילא - כל חודש מעלים שם קיט או שניים של השראה, בד"כ קיטים די עדכניים או אפילו עדכניים מאד. הרעיון הוא לחקות את הקיט של ההשראה מתוך החומרים שיש כבר בבית, מבלי לקנות חומרים חדשים. יש דרכים שונות לחיקוי, ואפילו לא חייבים לבנות קיט שלם (אפשר קיט חלקי, קיט לדף אחד וכיוצ"ב). אח"כ גם צריך להשתמש בקיט הזה, כמובן. 

עוד דבר מוצלח בבלוג הזה, הוא שהם נותנות המון הדרכות וקישורים ליצירת קישוטים שיהיו תחליף לקישוטים שנמצאים בקיט ההשראה. זה קונספט מאד אהוב עלי :).

את הקיט שהכנתי ואת קיט ההשראה אפשר לראות ברשומה הזאת.

הדף הזה הוכן מהחומרים בקיט שבניתי. בפינות עבדתי עם משחת עיצוב מעורבבת בצבע קרקל באמצעות סטנסיל. הקישוטונים הוכנו גם כן על ידי, בעזרת פאנצ'ים, צ'יפבורדים אפורים, צבע קרקל ודבק נצנצים.

הדף עצמו הוא העתקה (סקראפליפט) של דף אחר שראיתי ומאד אהבתי. כשהמוזה קצת בשפל, סקראפליפט הוא מוצא טוב להתניע את הגלגלים היצירתיים.

Counterfeit Kit - November's kit and add-on

I found this challenge blog, called Counterfeit Kit Challenge, and I really liked the idea of it - make your own counterfeit kit of the inspiration kit, and then work with it. It a wonderful way to get you use your old supplies rather buy new ones (okay, I won't stop buying new ones, I'm just making somr room for the new ones... LOL).

Another great thing about Counterfeit Kit challenge is that they give lots of ideas and tutorials on how to make your own embellishments. Great ideas! you really should hop over there and take a look.

This months' inspiration kit is from Scraptastic Club, and they have 2 kits. I started with the "Home Sweet Home" kit, but I'm thinking of making the other kit too. Here's the inspiration kit's photo:

After I gathered most of the supplies for my counterfeit kit, I got an AWESOME happy mail - my prize from Artful Delight. The very generous Leeanne sent me lots of dp and cs, all so beautiful, and lots of extra embellishments like Thickers, all kinds of alphas, stickers, riboons, brads, mini album chipboard, etc.

I'm totally over the moon!

The funny thing is that many of the cs and dp that Leeanne gave me are identical to those in the Scraptastic inspiration kit, but I still went on with making the counterfeit kit from my old stash.

So here's my counterfeit kit:

Not exactly the same, but quite similar, isn't it? I used cs from AC, Bazzill & DCWV. The cs are also mixed companies - BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, Stamperia, DCWV and some un-titled ones (I have them for very long time and don't remember which companies they are).

I didn't have the same stickers/labels/cutouts/stand-outs, so I've made some myself. Here are some close ups on the embellishments, some of them are self-made:

I also made an Add-on, with extra alphas, glittered foam flourishes, rub-ons and stickers, riboons, leaves, butterflies, Imaginarium chipboard, and lots of chipboards (I have lots of them, most of them are quite neglected). Here's my Add-On:

Now I just need to start using my counterfeit kit... maybe it will bring  back my muse, which left me lately...

The Sand and the Sea - a lo (and two cards)

A lo I've made for #83 The Color Room:

In the photo - my eldest with two friends at the seaside about 6.5 years ago. I did a lot of mix and match here - dp from Echo Park, Webster Pages, DCWV, October Afternoon and Making Memories. I also did a lot of stitching and used gauze, doily, music notes sheet and pearls.

Next are two cards I've made from scraps I had after finishing the lo.
The first one is for #27 cas-ualfridays, which is a CAS card with design element that goes over the edge of the card front:

The second card is for the challenge at Tuesday Trio, which is a sketch with a twist - something raised.  Here's the sketch:

I changed it a little by switching the 3 flower on the upper left corner with a floral stamp, otherwise I kept it very true to the sketch. The dotty square and the accordion flower are both raised:

Well, I guess I was in a mood for accordion flowers...LOL. Anyway, I think I've used almost every scrap I had from the dp of my lo, and I'm very happy about it.

אחרי תקופה שבה המוזה די נטשה אותי, בצירוף עומס של חיי היום יום, היה לי סופ"ש די יצירתי. נתפסתי לשילוב הצבעים שנתנו השבוע ב-The Color Room, שוב שילוב שמאד לא שכיח אצלי, ולכן גם מאד מאתגר. בד"כ התמונות מכתיבות לי את בחירת הצבעים, והפעם אתגר הצבעים הכתיב את בחירת התמונה, של הבכור עם שני חברים, משחקים בחוף הים בקיסריה, לפני כ-6.5 שנים.

עשיתי mix & match מחברות שונות - Echo Park, Making Memories, October Afternoon, Webster's pages, DCWV. בנוסף השתמשתי בדוילי, דף תווים, תחבושת ופנינים והרבה הרבה תפירה ידנית. את הדפים חתכתי לצורה המעוצבת לפי שבלונה בגדלים שונים. האותיות הן 'תוצרת הארץ'.

עם השאריות שנותרו מהדפים המדוגמים המשכתי והכנתי שני כרטיסים. אני חושבת שלא נותרו עוד הרבה שאריות מהדפים הללו... ניצולת כמעט מקסימלית של החומרים.

והמוטב שחוזר בכל - פרחי האקורדיון.

A CAS birthday card I've made this morning before we went to travel in a beautiful place. Here's a pic from that place:

כרטיס ברכה ליום הולדת, בסגנון נקי ופשוט (עלמה7, אני מאמצת את הרעיון שלך - מהיום יקרא נו"פ :-))...), שהכנתי הבוקר לפני שיצאנו לטייל בסטף (מסתבר שעם עוד הרבה, הרבה מאד אנשים...).  לנקבה לא נכנסנו, אבל הפעם בשונה מטיול שעשינו שם בקיץ אחד לוהט, השלמנו את המסלול הטבעתי. הטבע כבר מתחיל ללבוש צבעי שלכת, כמו העץ הזה שבראשו כבר החלו העלים לעטות צבעי זהב וכתום:

ההשראה בצבעים לכרטיס, כמו גם בסגנון הנו"פ, באה מקרין ד., שעבודותיה שזורות בצבעי קראפט/לבן/ורוד, והסגנון שלה, של נו"פ, הוא פשוט מעורר את התפעלותי פעם אחר פעם. אז למי שעוד לא מכיר, מומלץ מאד לקפוץ לבלוג של קרין ולהתרשם בעצמו.
