Two Glitz cards

After I finished my "Discover The World" layout, I had some leftovers, and I used them to make two cards.

For both of these cards I used Prickley Pear Rubber stamps I won at one of their recent challenges. I used Glitz Design dp (Beautiful Dreamer collection), and they both go for Feb color challenge at Glitz Design:

When I saw the color combo for Feb challenge at Glitz, I knew right away that I'll use papers from 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection along with my youngest's photo. These gorgeous dp were perfect for his dreamy pose. And yes, I do make boyish layouts with flowers, pink and lace... LOL

Here's the color combo:

I used #197 sketch from Creative Scrappers:

I also used the word inspiration from Bird Is The Word, which was "Discover".

I've made the flowers from scraps of cs in the matching colors. here's a close-up on the flowers:

I also used scraps of red dp (DCWV) to punch the small butterflies, WP alphas, a doily, lace and a gauze I dyed with acrylic paint. I'm really proud of myself that I managed to get the exact shade of blue/grey for the gauze, just like the shade of the dp. I think that it adds to the dreamy look of the lo.

I did a lot of hand stitching and distressing on this lo. here're some close-ups:

The leaves are hand cut from a print I downloaded from Lisa G. I spread glitter and diamond glaze on them. aren't they lovely? here're some close-ups:

stitching (plus a tip) - top tip tuesday my tip for TTT - if you do hand stitching - when you work with several layers, stitch each layer before you adhere it to the other piece of paper. it will make it easier to stitch and you can play with your paper around very easily till you're pleased with the design.

דף עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים מטיול שערכנו לאחרונה בכרמל. הוא תפס פוזה חולמנית משהו על רקע הנוף המדהים.

השתמשתי בדפים מדוגמים של Glitz מקולקציה שנקראת 'Beautiful Dreame', קולקציה עם דפים יפהפיים. הדפים הללו התאימו באופן מושלם גם לתמונה עצמה וגם לאתגר שילוב צבעים ש-Glitz העלו החודש.

יש הרבה דיסטרסינג ותפירה ידנית. השתמשתי גם במפית תחרה, סרט תחרה ותחבושת צבועה בצבע אקרילי. אני מאד גאה בעצמי שהצלחתי להגיע לגוון הכחלחל-אפרפר עם הצבעים האקריליים, ממש כמו הגוון שבדפים המדוגמים. את הפרחים הכנתי בעצמי והעלים הם חיתוך עדין של דגם שהורדתי מהאינטרנט.

דף של בן, אבל עם פרחים, תחרה וצבע ורוד. מאחר שבינתיים לא מושמעת מחאה מצד דור ההמשך, אני מרשה לעצמי מידי פעם...

A weekend in the north - a mini album

הפעם האתגר של צרויה הוא "ילדות". עלו בי אסוציאציות רבות מהכותרת הזאת, אבל את המקום המרכזי תפסה האסוציאציה של זכרונות הילדות היפים ביותר שלי מהטיולים המשפחתיים ברחבי הארץ. הורי לקחו אותנו לטייל בכל פינה בארץ, מהצפון ועד לדרום, מהמערב אל המזרח. החוויות היפות ביותר היו מקמפינגים בחיק הטבע, לינה באוהל.

את החוויות הללו אני כל כך שמחה להנחיל גם לילדים שלי. בתחילה, כשהיו קטנים, טיולים בני כמה שעות, כשאני נושאת את התינוק במנשא על הגב או על הצד. עם הזמן, כשגדלו, גם קמפינגים ולינה באוהל. הכי כיף.

המיני אלבום הזה הוא על אחד מהטיולים/קמפינגים הללו, שעשינו עם חברים לפני למעלה משלוש שנים. התחלנו בטיול בפארק הירדן, עלינו צפונה עד לקיבוץ דפנה, שם נטינו אוהלינו, ולמחרת טיילנו למפל הבניאס.

הפעם, בשונה מכל המיני אלבומים שהכנתי עד כה, הבסיס היה אלבום צ'יפבורד אפור מוכן. השתמשתי בדפים מדוגמים ובקישוטי סטיקרים של Cosmo Cricket, מקולקציה שנקראת Clementine, להם הוספתי מדבקות סטיקרים, ראב-אונים, פנינים ואבני חן, חיתוכים מדף מדוגם של my little showbox, ותחבושת צבועה. האותיות הן של 'תוצרת הארץ'.

It all about a weekend we had with good friends, a few years ago, in the north of Israel. We had a wonderful time - traveling nearby Jordan river, sleeping in a tent, etc.

What Are You Thinking About? - lo

A lo with a photo of my eldest, on one of our travels last December.  I've made it with lilybeedesign pp - from Jingle collection (the basis cs) and Harvest Market (the dotted dp  and the brackets shapes above and under). I love it when you can mix and match dp from different collections, that go together perfectly.

I also used dark blue cs (Canson) for the matting, baker's twine, buttons and acrylic paint. The alphas are Echo Park and My Little Shoebox; MS border punch; TH distress ink (vintage photo).

A Snack by the sea

באתגר הרביעי שלה, אהבה בסוף הקיץ, הזמינה צרויה עבודות קיציות. הכותרת לאתגר הייתה 'אהבה בסוף הקיץ', כשמו של מיני אלבום מקסים ויפהפה שהכינה צרויה.

צרויה דיברה על האהבה בסוף הקיץ, ואני בהשלמה של המעגל, הכנתי דף על האהבה בתחילת הקיץ. כשמזג האוויר מתחיל להתחמם, והשמש שולחת קרניים ארוכות ומחממות, ועדיין לא חם מאד באופן בלתי נסבל, זה זמן מושלם להגיע לים.

התמונה היא של צעיר הבנים, לפני כ-5 שנים. זה היה יום חם, אחרי פסח, ומייד אחרי שאספתי את הילדים מהגנים, נסענו לים.  המחצלת נמצאת תמיד בתא המטען של הרכב, וארוחת אחה"צ בים הייתה (רחמנא ליצלן לתזונה הלקויה...) - חטיפים. ובתמונה, צעיר הבנים זולל בתאבון ובשמחה את החטיף המועדף עליו - אפרופו. בכלל לא הפריע לו שנכנס גם חול לכל הסיפור, והא ראיה - פרצופו המרובב בחול :))).

כל הדפים המדוגמים בדף הזה הם מהקיט של צרויה 'זרעי קיץ'. על הקארדסטוק הלבן התזתי קצת גלימר מיסט כחלחל. השתמשתי בקרטון גלי ובמאטינג קראפט לתמונה - צבעים שמשתלבים כל כך נפלא עם צבעי הקיט.

העיגולים החלקיים שהופיעו בסקיצה התאימו בעיני כל כך לאחד הדפים מהקיט, שבו באחד מצידיו יש עיגולים המורכבים מתפזורת אותיות. באחד מהעיגולים החלקיים הללו השתמשתי ככותרת לכיתוב נסתר.

הכותרת, בשני פונטים - של 'קסם שימושי', ושל 'תוצרת הארץ'.

A lo with a photo of my youngest, almost 5 years ago. It was a hot day on April, and after taking the kids from their kindergartens, we went to the seaside. It was a great afternoon and we had a great time there. 

In the photo my youngest is eating one of his all time fav snacks (along with some sand...LOL).

Together - lo

I just found a new sketch challenge blog, Let's Get Sketchy. I just love sketches!!! The grand oppening will take place on March 1st (mark your calendars, ladies!). They're also having an awesome giveaway for the oppening, "A Boy's Life" collection from EchoPark.

Meanwhile, there's a sketch challenge, till Feb 28th, and I decided to play along with this sketch:

For the colors of this lo, I was inspired by #98 palette from The Color Room:

This palette was a real challenge for me, cause purple is not one of my fav colors for scrapping. I hardly use it on my layouts. so this palette sure took me out of my comfort zone.

דף עם תמונה שלי ושל בכורי, כשהיה כבן שנה. הסקיצה היא מבלוג סקיצות חדש והצבעים הם לפי אתגר צבעים ב-the color room. סגול, על גווניו, הוא צבע שנדיר מאד אצלי, כך שפלטת הצבעים הזאת בהחלט איתגרה אותי.

סוף סוף הצלחתי להספיק ולהשתתף באתגר ההשראה של קרין! הפעם ההשראה הייתה השיר "ברוך הבא" של חווה אלברשטיין. 

מהרגע הראשון ידעתי שאכין דף מעוצב עם תמונה של צעיר הבנים, כשהוא בן שבוע ימים בלבד, לבוש בבגד ירוק עז (נדמה לי שקוראים לגוון הזה ירוק יער). התמונה צולמה במהלך ברית המילה שנערכה לו בחוג המשפחה המאד מצומצם, וכל מה שאוכל לומר על התמונה זה שלא אני צילמתי אותה, כי התחבאתי בחדר סמוך, מתרחקת במהלך הטקס.

צעיר הבנים נולד בניתוח קיסרי של חירום (כמו אחיו הגדול), לאחר הריון תקין שלאורכו עשיתי הכנות רבות ללדת לידה רגילה. מסתבר שהאדם מתכנן תוכניות והאלוהים יושב וצוחק (יש הטוענים שבאידיש זה נשמע  טוב יותר). אמנם התחילה לידה עם מהלך רגיל, אבל עקב מצוקה עוברית גדולה וחשש של הרופאים לקרע ברחם בעקבות הניתוח הקיסרי הקודם, הוטסתי אחר כבוד לחדר הניתוח.

התמונה הזאת תפסה הבעה מלאת חיים שלו, וגם הצבע הירוק של הבגד משדר המון חיות. והצבע הזה, ותחושת החיות, הביאו אותי לעצב את הדףבעיקר בגוונים ירוקים, עם תוספת של צהוב מואר ונגיעות קלות בכחול.

המסגרת לתמונה היא חיתוך שיש לי כבר יובלות; שתי חותמות של Inkadinkado; בורדר סטיקר של Fancy Pants; רצועה מפונצ'צ'ת עם בורדר פאנץ' של מרתה סטיוארט; פרחים עשויים משכבות של פינצ'וצ'י פרחים ובמרכז פנינים; החיתוך המסולסל בצהוב וכחול נחתך ביד עפ"י תבנית ממוחשבת, ותפרתי קו מיתאר מסביב; ראב-אונים של פרחים; תחרה; אותיות 'תוצרת הארץ'; יישון הקצוות עם שני צבעים של דיו דיסטרס של טים הולץ; דף הבסיס - קארדסטוק לבן של AC.

The photo is of my youngest, when he was only 7 days old... so precious. The title says, in Hebrew: "Welcome!"

Grape Harvest in white and yellow בציר הענבים

A lo I've made for White With 1 Feb challenge - white with lemon and 3 photos.

The photos are of my eldest, from last summer vacation.
My inspiration for the design was the beautiful # 48 sketch by Helen Croft, from Scrap A Little (if you don't know Helen's fab sketches and tutorials, you should pop over her blog):

I used puches on different yellow scraps I had, and some yellos chipboards.

The 'water lillies' flowers were made by me, and I also made a tutorial on 'how to'.

דף מעוצב שהכנתי לאתגר שכולו על הרעיון של לבן וצבע אחד נוסף בלבד, בצירוף קריטריון נוסף. הצבע הנוסף והקריטריון משתנים מחודש לחודש. בחודש פברואר הצבע הנוסף היה צהוב (לימון) והקריטריון היה 3 תמונות.

פינצ'צ'תי עיגולים מכל מיני שאריות דפים צהובים (במסגרת הקטנת המפלס בקופסת השאריות...) והוצאתי כמה צ'יפבורדים צהובים (במסגרת הקטנת כמות הצ'יפבורדים...). אותיות 'תוצרת הארץ' בצבע חרדל היו התאמה מושלמת לדף הצהוב הזה.

את 'חבצלות המים' הכנתי בעצמי וגם העליתי הדרכה איך להכין אותן.

התמונות הן של הבכור, בוצר ענבים אצל חברים, בסוף חופשת הקיץ האחרונה.
